I heard great things about this restaurant and sadly, I didn't experience any of the great things I heard. The reservation was at 12:30 and we weren't seated until 12:45 (ok, cool). We sat down and immediately ordered our food. Water and our mimosa carafe came but the food didn't come to the table until 1:20pm. EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE. We had to request silverware to eat with. The grits were thick and borderline cold, eggs were just eggs, the pancakes taste like box mix, the breading was falling off the chicken and soggy but had a nice taste. According to photos in other reviews, these were NOT the normal breakfast potatoes. I expected pork sausage with my meal and got turkey sausage. There was nothing on the menu to say that ONLY turkey sausage was served. My suggestions are to focus on consistency and speed in the kitchen. I would say Elicious reminds me of my grandmother's cooking, which is certainly not a bad thing, but your typical homemade breakfast. The breakfast potatoes, O'Brien style, were great. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles - the chicken, unfortunately, tasted like as though the grease wasn't fresh. Which I suppose is to be expected given the traffic of customers. Travelled to STL and found a gem of a breakfast spot. The greeter, Mr. Sly, was friendly, funny and attentive. Not a long wait and the parking lot was full. Music played is 70's and 80's. Our server, Tish, provided great service and made sure our order was correct and hot. The food was well seasoned and hot. I highly recommend this restaurant for your breakfast/ brunch whenever you visit the area. I do recommend that they allow the staff access to the merchandise that is locked. THIS PLACE 10/10 would recommend!! They did not disappoint! First time here and I was recommended the pork chops and they were absolutely delicious! I got two eggs with it, over easy and 2 pancakes, and a strawberry/peach mimosa, and all of it cooked to perfection and super tasty. Update to my original review: While I still highly recommend them for the taste of the food, I have tried twice in two weeks to go as a party of one, and they just cannot accommodate smaller parties. I waited 45 minutes both times and the second time after 30 minutes, I tried to place an order to go. I really should have just done that in the first place but I enjoy my food when it's fresh off the skillet and I did not realize right away they offered to go orders as an option. At any rate, it took almost 15 minutes before I decided to just leave because no one was able to take my order. A woman walked up and placed a mimosa order as I stood there, waiting to place my food order. And then a second server, who I thought was able to take my to go order, began checking people in without acknowledging that I was waiting for her before they entered the building. I know these things will work themselves out and due time, but I can't say I was not annoyed... And hungry. read more

So I got the pleasure to enjoy this amazing brunch spot for my birthday brunch. The atmosphere was so nice, old school records playing, decor was giving Motown all the way and I was loving it. It's a black owned restaurant and they only serve brunch. We went on a weekday so it was not crowded at all and there was no wait time. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside on their patio. We enjoyed mimosas and the food was absolutely amazing!!! I decided to get the chicken and waffles and omg the chicken was fried to perfection! The breading, the seasoning, so delicious. The waffle was cooked great as well. My boyfriend enjoyed the French toast and all the sides were cooked so good. The best grits I've ever had! The food was definitely cooked with love. We even got to meet one of the owners who was making his rounds making sure everything and everyone was happy. So the order was a call in order, we was told that there was a 25 minute wait. We arrived 25 minutes after the time that they specified. Upon arrival we waited another 30 minutes. I believe the service could have been better: they were able to take a picture without acknowledging the customers that were already waiting. I would not recommend them if you want good service. It's understandable if the order was being prepared right then upon placing the order but it was not.
