Raz the owner was super professional. He said he needed one day to do all the tuning and repairs. Everything he said he will do, he did and went over and beyond to make sure it's to he's own standards before calling and letting me the car is ready. No up charge, whatever he said that's how much everything was no Mickey Mouse job here I promise. For sure will be back for any of my car tune ups or repairs needed to be done. read more

Great service from father and son team. They took care of some complicated issues with one of our vehicles. Have already recommended customers to them. There are still honest people left in California. Thanks again guys. read more

Great quality service and reasonable price. Honest and reliable shop. Highly recommend them for all vehicles types.

I took my Audi here for a brake change and they did a super job. Also pointed out and helped with a couple other points on my car that needed attention free of charge. Highly recommend. read more

Was referred to the shop by a neighbor who I trust, and has been going to him for years. Took in my Subaru that had a check engine light. My visit made me realize that those honest mechanics that existed back in the day still exist!!!!! .Not only did he diagnose my problem, he suggested that I reach out to the dealership to see if it was covered on my extended warranty. He wrote down what it was and the part number. Instead of something costing me $1500-2k he chose integrity. It WAS covered. He just earned a customer for life. This guy has tons of good karma on the way. read more

This place is the absolute best! Raz and his team are amazing -- trustworthy, friendly, helpful, honest. Best mechanic we ever had!

Best experience I've ever had in a mechanics shop. Honest assessment. Fair prices, quick service. Never changing my mechanic.

I have been going to Elf Motors for a long time. The service is outstanding and the work they do is just amazing. The prices here are also great. I've always had a great experience here with different cars. A big shoutout to Raffi & Raz for their excellent work. Thank you guys very much for always taking care of my cars. See you very soon! read more

I've been looking for new mechanic for months and I finally found one! Raz is such a great guy. Called him to look at my VW Jetta and he didn't hesitate and told me to come now. He cleared all the codes to my car and I was off with my day. Highly recommend and truly trust worthy . read more

I have been going to this shop for many years. It is a Father and Son team. They are the nicest, most reliable and most honest people I've ever met. They know I'm a single Grandmother and sometimes they even do little things for me and don't charge me. I can't recommend them highly enough.. read more

Simple fix, but better than fair pricing, honest communication and very nice people. Will definitely be going back.

I went in for a simple problem that I had spent hours trying to fix myself. I finally threw up my hands and admitted I needed help. Another mechanic recommended this shop as competent and honest. Sure enough I drove in, and they fixed my problem in two minutes. I think I found my new mechanic. read more

What can I say about Raz And Raffo that hasn't already been said? They are the best, most honest mechanics you will ever meet. They have a knack for troubleshooting and finding the root cause of your car issues. They are more than fair with their pricing and always treat their customers like family. Simply the best! read more

My go-to shop. Raz and his dad operate the kind of workshop that is a rare gem. They have cared for my Jeep over the past couple of years. Whether it's a minor or major issue, I've always had great service with them. Diagnosing car problems can be difficult, but it feels good to know that I can always count on their professional, honest, and reliable services when needed. Wouldn't go to anyone else! All the best. read more

I've worked on my own cars for 20+ years but no longer have the time for bigger jobs like a timing belt. So when it came time to "hand off the torch" I spent a great deal of time finding my replacement. Raj and his father are a rarity in today's economy. Honest, competent and fair prices, which I can't say about most. They were great to do business with and communicated well throughout the repair. All around good people and true automotive enthusiasts. read more

This review is for Raffi -- his son was on vacation, but if the other reviews are any indication, it's clear he's also fantastic. Anyway, I walked into Elf Motors on my lunch break around noon on a Monday, with brakes on my 2013 Honda Fit that were grinding so loudly other motorists had commented on them while stopped in traffic (I know, I'm an idiot -- but a broke idiot who had to wait for a check to clear before doing anything about it). Raffi was straightforward and honestly just so pleasant, not to mention communicative throughout the day; when he told me he had to order parts, I was ready to leave my car overnight, because even though brake pad / rotor replacements are a lot simpler than full brake repairs, I've been in LA for six years and had yet to find a mechanic I felt wasn't ripping me off or doubling labor time because I didn't know any better. He was done before 5pm and the whole thing cost a bit more than $330 (before tax). Painless. And, bonus, his office is wallpapered with dozens of family pictures including MANY insanely cute babies. So happy I found this place -- I'll definitely be back as long as he's there. read more

Exceeded expectations from start to finish in communications and quality work. A friend referred me after his mechanic retired and recommended Raz at Elf Motors. Appreciated prompt appointment, phone call and photo with estimates prior to going forward with needed repairs. It's been years of bouncing around to unsatisfactory dealers and mechanics all over S. CA and now we've found a great family run business in Burbank. read more

Well, i must say, I had a great, old school experience at Elf Motors with Raz and his wonderful father. My car was in and out quickly. They're genuine folks with a great work ethic. They're kind, cool and collects. I'll be back'! . Go check them out when you need help! Thanks, Elves!! read more

I'm writing this as I wait for my car to finish and I only have positive things to say about Raz and Raffi at Elf motors. I have been living between Los Angeles and the Bay Area and would rather drive the 350+ miles to a mechanic I know and trust than try working with someone new. My parents have been bringing cars to Raz for what feels like a decade, maybe even more, so naturally they are my go to mechanic team. I would stop your search after finding Elf motors; I can't imagine going anywhere else and refer all my friends here for honest work and fair prices. They are always able to help me when I call and actually genuinely care about your car performing it's best and not just the bottom line !!!!!! I'm eternally grateful I found Elf motors. read more

I keep writing a review because this guy is hands down the best mechanic I met I highly recommend their work. He will tell everything you need to understand about your issue and find the best solution for you! Whatever he charges is good value because his work is more valuable! read more

I hate to be this person but I feel like I have to share my experience. I came here because other people recommended it and place has great reviews. Owners very extremely friendly, I felt safe leaving car there. A few hours later they told me everything is good with my car and I'm overreacting, I can keep driving it without any worry. I did what they told me and because of that whole engine is now ruined, i have to pay 5k to replace it. They missed a leak that caused so much damage, I have to pull all of my savings out to repair it. I believe that other people had good experience with these guys, unfortunately not me and it's an expensive lesson to learn. read more

I would give 100 five star reviews if I could. After moving to LA I came across this place and they've helped me with every kind of car issue. They are always honest and I know I can trust them whether it be asking their opinion on a new car I was getting or getting the best deal on a replacement part. I have recommended so many friends to come here and they all loved it! read more

I rarely leave reviews ( probably should more often) but I was extremely pleased with my experience @ Elf Motors. Honest, answered all my questions, price was great , work was great, what else is there to say. Well done guys, thank you! read more

What can I say? Family owned business, honest, fabulous Mechanics. They always find the best solution and are super reasonably priced. We have referred several of our friends to them and they will never go anywhere else. We have been using them for over 2 years. They take excellent care of our older model BMWs. We found them when I had a transmission problem that occurred the day before Christmas. Raz took the time to pinpoint the problem instead of short cutting and replacing the transmission. They find time to squeeze us in when needed .. If you need an honest, competent mechanic.. Go to ELF.. read more

Amazing! I have an '09 Scion tC, and the "maintenance required" light came on as it neared 40k miles. Brought the car to Elf, and the first thing Raz did was commend me on driving stick. Awesome. He then pulled out my cabin and air filters, showed me them, and said they don't need to be replaced for a while. This is the first time in my life that a mechanic hasn't tried to convince me that I need new filters. Double awesome. While he was putting my cabin filter back in, he noticed that I had the car title in my glovebox, and apparently that's a super idiotic thing to keep in your car...? I'm normally not an idiot, but man do I look like one when it comes to cars. Anyway, Raz suggested that I keep it somewhere else, and was not at all condescending about any of it. Triple awesome. About 30 minutes after I dropped my car off, they called to tell me it was all ready to go. So speedy! The total cost of an oil change plus a check of the tires/fluids/brakes/etc. was only $32. The car was low on coolant, which they topped off for me. Quadruple awesome. But seriously, the best parts were the amazingly friendly and kind service, and the complete lack of upselling. I will be taking my car back to Elf for everything it needs in the future. read more

This place is a gem! Family run business, with great prices and great service. We actually live in Vegas but little errands like oil changes are things I'll take care of while my bf works in Burbank and I have time on my hands. They have squeezed us in last minute during lunch before our drive back to Vegas when we realized we really needed a service before that journey and they were really cool about it. Also they communicate with you about what they are doing, we got a new car and he looked it up and called me to tell me it calls for a cheaper oil than he priced me for and wanted to double check that i was ok with that and that I would be paying less... very cool. Always friendly, any of the family around has also been a pleasure to talk with. It's the type of place you feel good about bringing your business to! read more

I just read Mrs T's review from 6/7/2019, and this is about the same timeframe I began taking my car for service w/ Elf Motors. No kidding, I have been multiple times for oil changes, Window regulators/registers whatever they're called, Fuel pump and filter... All this I could have done myself, but I don't enjoy working on cars so much anymore. In any event, Mrs T is spot on, and here in April 2020,I can say that every visit has been perfect. I can't imagine anyone being let-down. I would be shocked actually. Raz is seriously an amazing fellow & mechanic as has been mentioned a number of times. Still, five stars after multiple visits. read more

Last night my Passenger dock Lock assembly seized from the inside, on my 2018 Subaru, I tried for about 3 hours to unlock the door from the inside with no luck. My car door was locked and you couldn't get in or out. This morning I called up right when Elf Motors opened at 8am and the Mechanic which I believe was the owner was able to unlock my door in about 15 minutes. These guys are great. They will be my new mechanics in burbank going forward with all Mechanical components going forward in the future. I also asked this morning if they do Suspension kit installs and they do, will be coming back soon. A one stop shop for all your car needs. read more

If you are looking for honest, reliable mechanics - look no further - Elf is the place. My husband and I have been taking our cars to Elf Motors for 10 years. We always receive stellar service, as do the (many) friends we've referred to Elf. We have never encountered mechanics who are more honest than Raz and Rafi. They always explain exactly what you need, why you need it, and fix your car at a fair price. read more

These guys are the only mechanics I will ever use. Raz and Raffi are friendly, honest, and great. I actually enjoy going to them. I know nothing about cars, so they always explain exactly what they're looking for or doing before they do it and they're incredible affordable. About half the time I go there expecting to have a big repair, they end up coming up with a simple and fast solution that they just do for free. I can't imagine that happening anywhere else. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I think the rest of the reviews speak for this place enough, but I'll add mine because I had a positive experience. As we all know, recently it's been insanely hot in California reaching temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. AC is pretty much a must if you plan to be driving in the middle of the day. With that being said, my 1994 BMW 325i had no cold blowing AC anymore. After a call to one shop who said they would hate me over $150 to refill the system with R-134, they then said I should call Elf Motors which I did. When I called I was given a much better price for the same thing, and so I headed over. While recharging my AC, Raz noticed coolant leaking from my car (these cars are notorious for cooling failures) and Raz even found the location of the leak. After finding the location, the repair was simple. I won't go into to much more detail, but Raz is great! I suggest you take your vehicle here, especially if it's German! read more

Raffi and his son Raz are true professionals. They have great attitude and are very honest people. I am fully satisfied with the service they provided and would definitely suggest them. read more

They care, they are honest, and they do good work. It's a family owned place and they go the extra mile for you--They added new valve caps to my tires and tightened my license plates. It's the small details that matter. Will go back again! read more

The gentlemen at Elf Motors have been the best mechanics I have ever known. For the past few years they have worked on two cars that I own and have quoted me the lowest prices, and they are also so nice and polite. I recommend them to anyone I know. It's rare to find mechanics as honest and efficient as they are. Thanks for your help all the time! read more

I adore these guys!! They will tell you when you don't need something, not just do it anyway and say you needed it! I've been driving nearly half my life and have never found more honest mechanics, even my next door neighbor growing up who's a pro would sell me things I didn't need. PLEASE check these guys out, you'll never go anywhere else!! read more

The best mechanic ever, thanx Raz you the man, I dealt with many crooked mechanics in my life, so when my car needed brake change, i found Elf Motors, and honestly I was not disappointed, after reading Yelp reviews of the place I said let's give it a try, best thing I did, nothing but honesty here, he ain't about screwing people over. read more

About five years ago my friend Nikki Nemzer introduced me to Elf motors in Burbank. They fix both my personal car and our company van. Nikki Nemzer had always called them, honest and nice. After hiring them for a number of years I pretty much agreed. As I'm sure everyone realizes it's really hard to really get a true reading on a mechanics honesty, However Elf is a family owned business father and son and It just felt good to work with them. Recently I totaled a convertible. Since I still have a need for a truck with a hitch, I decided to get back into my old expedition that I had kicking around. I wasn't in love with the idea however I really did not want to spend the money on a new car and a new truck. Other than mechanical issues which Elf handled very well The interior needed a new driver seat. After driving around for a little bit I asked them if they can recommend somebody that could repair the driver seat. They made a recommendation to get the car seat reupholstered. When I picked up the car I was less than happy. For a number reasons that I will not going to here, The car seat was not comfortable anymore. The car was not really drivable for long periods of time due to the nature of how the seat came out. Even though all they did is recommend a seat reupholster company, they treated the situation as if they're fixing one of their own personal cars. They told me to leave the car for a few days and then they would figure something out. When they called me to pick up the car, it had a like new beautiful leather drivers seat. Apparently the father went from junkyard to junkyard until he found the seat that was appropriate for my vehicle. Remember this is not even their issue, they have only made the referral but I was important to them to fix my issue. When I asked him what the price was they told me that all they wanted was 50% of the cost for them to buy the seat. The rest of the money I paid for the upholstery went to the referral company and they decided to eat 50% just to keep the customer happy. In conclusion, they have earned 100% of all my future business, hopefully through this story maybe they earned your business as well Elf Motors Burbank Ask for Raz +1 (818) 567-4607 read more
