I give my blessing to my wonderful massage therapist Adrian. He is so amazing in how he treats all my injuries. If it wasn't for him my pain level would be to much for me to deal with on my own. My pain level is so intense & anxiety with my body.  He understands the pain im having. He is truly a gifted massage therapist. He knows exactly what I need to feel pain free. His hands are worth a million dollars to me. He always makes me feel so comfortable and well taken care of.  He's so kind, giving, intelligent, outspoken & a great sense of humor. I've been going to Elements for about 2 years now. Initially for migraines and then recently because of a car accident. I've had the pleasure of having several different therapists work on me. Wendy Rose and Mel B are phenomenal at what they do, true artists at their craft. I look forward to my massage every week and it's just what I need to help get me through the week. I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want to share! I wish I only needed a relaxation massage and not the intense structural work that in fact I do need. Jeremy is the man. It's really refreshing to go to a massage therapist who knows what they are doing and understands the structural mechanisms of the body in such a thorough way. I was skeptical that a place that offers memberships would have massage therapists like Jeremy. He really knows his stuff and even after seeing a chiropractor for 8 months, working with a trainer who specializes in injuries and structural issues, finding a good massage therapist has definitely been the next step in my recovery. I have suffered with chronic issues for a long time and I won't lie -it hurts. Sometimes a lot! BUT Jeremy always makes sure to check in to see how I'm doing and make sure I'm not crying! He has gone over time both times I've seen him because he wanted to make sure to get to everything he wanted to do - one time he went way over time and I had no idea I was in there for so long! I'm a huge fan. Oh, and the front desk folks are incredibly nice and smiley. I bought a membership and am so glad I did! It's making a huge difference in my recovery regime! Had a truly wonderful massage from Sonia. I really recommend this gem located in the QFC center on Crown Hill. They have a wellness program that makes a monthly massage very affordable. I am a member of Elements on Holman road and go there for a weekly therapeutic massage with Lynna. I have seen some other massage therapists at Elements as well and I have always had a good experience. The facility is beautifully decorated and the staff are friendly and professional. Lynna is a natural healer with an open heart and a warm soulful presence. I have been going to Elements for almost a year. On the plus side it is very clean, nicely decorated and my satisfaction has varied depending who I received the massage from. Best massages came from Mel and Angie. However, it has not been easy being an insurance patient. They've gone from to seeing you as a whole person, to now seeing you as only a list of symptoms. I get it that insurance companies are demanding more of LMT's but this business has taken it to a whole new hyper-vigelent level with their new 2 side multi-? form that asks for more info than my physicians office. After my appt 11/9 appt, when I arrived 10 minutes early as now required for the paperwork and was given the form. I asked the front desk if this meant I would still get my time on the table. I was told if I got it filled out in time, "yes." Well with Jamie that should have been not really since once inside the room she continued to go over the extensive form I filled out, asking me the same ?'s. I expresed my annoyance since the clock was ticking and now about 5 or so minutes have passed. The massage experience didn't improve from there, as in the room was cold, the heated table wasn't on and it took a while for it to warm up, ALL other therapists have put on hot pack on the part of my body they weren't working on. Not the case with Jamie and I wish I had been told she only would be doing basically pressure points, and Deep Tissue Massage with very little oil. Parts of the treatment were painful and when I asked her she said she doesn't do Swedish massage. Too bad this wasn't communicated. Not a relaxing experience in the least. If you liked to be asked every single time if you would like to tip and have it continue after you've asked to not to be under their pressure to tip, this is the place for you. It feels like lately they don't treat their insurance patients with the same customer care as their other patients. I won't be returning. You can ask the owner about how they mishandled that part of my story!!! read more

I had my first massage here with my therapist, Wendy, and I had the BEST massage ever. I've had a lot of massages, and she is the best. I am a marathon runner, and she addressed all my issues and really made me feel so amazing after my 90 minute massage. She was very kind and thoughtful of my comfort level during my masssge, and so knowledgeable with her craft. I am so grateful to her, and for my daughter (who gave me this massage as s gift, and had a massage as well with another great therapist). I plan to see Wendy regularly from now on. Their pricing is pretty standard, it it more affordable if you buy packages or the monthly membership. But, I must say, without a doubt, it is always worth the money! I used to go to Massage Envy because I didn't know any better and was disappointed every other time by a mediocre massage. I've been going to Elements for about a year and a half now and have gotten a different therapist every time and EVERY TIME it has been an excellent massage! I am totally impressed! Not one dud! Front desk staff were absolutely straightforward about scheduling and flexible around my needs. They called twice to make sure everything was going to work well for me. Prenatal massage with Kirsten went really well! I was nearly passed out by the time we were done. It was just what I needed at the end of my 3rd trimester. I know some people have commented on the atmosphere, but I really like how dark, quiet, and professional it is. I don't really want my massage studio to have a unique personality. ****AVOID THIS PLACE****Let me start by saying I have had one experience with this place and it was extremely frustrating. I had 2 80 minute massage gift cards in which I planned to use when I girlfriend flew in for the weekend this past Friday. I made the appointment for 12:30pm and the ladies were pleasant on the phone which is ideal for a massage place. She came home for a job interview that she is stressed about so I figured there's not a better time to use them. An hour after I scheduled my appointment they called back saying that one of the message therapists was sick and couldn't come in and they rescheduled us for 11:30am I was fine by that. HOWEVER we arrived and might I say very excited to get massages and they had us fill out all the necessary paperwork. Then at exactly 11:30 a girl comes out and tells us that the massage therapist "hurt her hand on the last client." Massages are a relaxing experience and I will say my reaction might be different to this scenario then others. It is pretty unprofessional especially being that the service they provide is to calm you down and ease pain. So then they said they could reschedule us for another time. Of course they didn't have another time in the next three days that we could do. One and only experience. I would not invest my money in this place as you might get thrown around due to their lack of massage therapists or whatever their deal is. You go to get relaxed and I got just the opposite. read more

I tried this massage service a few weeks ago and had a terrible experience with a young male therapist who was not at all tuned into my comfort or wishes. I left a dissatisfied review and the management contacted me offering another massage at no cost with a different therapist. The second massage was excellent. The young man's name for this massage was Brady, and he was all about asking what I wanted and responding to either increasing or backing off on the pressure as I requested. He does a good deep tissue massage, but is sensitive to client needs, so I'm sure could do a gentler massage if that is what you want. One of the things I don't like is elbows, and he was able to do the deep tissue massage I wanted without using his elbows. He was also a pleasant guy to chat with and the overall experience was everything I hoped for. Creds to the business's management for salvaging what started out as a bad experience. Also, parking is plentiful at this location and the rooms and front desk staff are pleasant. read more

There is such a wide variety of masseuses to choose from and they all have many techniques to offer!! Found this place on LivingSocial and was a little hesitant once I got to the location as it seemed to be in the back corner of a teeny (slightly sketchy) strip mall next to QFC. But I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and found an oasis of spa-like relaxation. With soothing music, dimmed lights, and excellent customer service, Elements Massage because my new favorite massage place -- and I have to say I am pretty picky when it comes to massage parlors, as I have had too many dirty, awkward, and just plain BAD experiences, often relating to customer service. E-massage was an excellent experience! I have been receiving their weekly schedule of availability via e-mail, and if it weren't for my not-at-all open schedule, I would have been back here in a heartbeat! Hopefully I can make it back soon! My masseuse Autumn was great. I should have requested a more firm masseuse because I prefer more pressure! Other than that, things are great :) read more

I have been to elements three times and saw three different therapists. All three gave a good massage. The first guy was amazing, and not only did he give a great massage, but he understood pressure points. It was allergy season, and when I was face down on the table, I felt a sneeze coming on. I asked for a Kleenex and he stuck his thumb somewhere on my back (I forget where) and my nose dried up immediately. Too weird! The other therapists didn't impress me with their magic tricks but were still good. I like the evening and weekend hours, and that there are multiple therapists so multiple people can be treated at once. Elements isn't a real high end place. It's in a seedy strip mall and the rooms are decorated a little sparsely which is all fine by me. I'd rather a good massage than ambience. I go when there are deals on groupon or yelp so it's a good value for a massage. read more

Elements on Holman Road feels more like a well run small business than a franchise or chain. They're make it easy to schedule and run various package options that help lower the costs of individual treatments. Everyone that I've encountered is professional, friendly, and customer service oriented. The practitioner that I've been working with most recently is Autumn. She's a skilled masseuse and a friendly, down to earth person. She explains what she's doing and patently answers all questions. I couldn't recommend her more highly. read more

I cannot recommend Jeremy Normann enough as the massage therapist to see at Elements Therapeutic Massage in Ballard on Holman Rd. I first went to him after receiving a coupon offer 4 months ago and have continued with him since. I am very impressed with his massage technique, professionalism, pleasant manner, and extensive knowledge about muscles and the nervous system. I originally went to him because of a back pain I could not get rid of. He clearly understood what my problem was, and he focused on those areas of my body that helped get rid of that particular pain. I continue to see him for maintenance, for other chronic problems, and for new issues that arise. What I like about Jeremy is how he approaches each massage session, how deep he needs to go on any particular massage, his good explanations (in plain English) about what he thinks a problem is and how he will work with it. He takes his work seriously and is enthusiastic about what he does and how well he does it. In addition, I like that he is interested in learning more to help his clients. Jeremy encourages home exercises and is good at teaching specific home based techniques to maintain better health. I have recommended him to family, friends, and clients of mine (I am a health care provider too). Elements Massage made it extremely easy to deal with my health insurance once my doctor wrote a prescription. read more

I haven't yet become a member, but I do buy packages of six massages at a reduced rate and then use them sparingly. I use them for the sheer enjoyment, the pure luxury of the experience, though the total relaxation I feel at the end is surely a worthy goal, also. My favorite therapist left, so I have been sampling others, mostly intent on getting a massage of the length that I want, at the time that I want it, rather than focusing on any particular therapist. So far, I haven't found a bad one. They all listen to you and try to meet your needs. You can go to the site and read about the various therapists, pick one who specializes in what you need. I love to end with a good head/face massage, for instance, and might pick someone who specializes in headaches. The front desk is NEVER pushy about their membership packages (unlike other chain massage places I have tried and will never visit again) and always helpful with scheduling and other questions. (It never seems to be the same person at the desk, so this laid back attitude must be policy.) Massages are very expensive or I'd be getting one a day and two on Sunday! Plus there is always the tip, which seems to be expected and will mean another $20 or so. But there are few places cheaper, and this location has ample parking and lovely, immaculate, calm rooms and dozens of qualified therapists to choose from. read more
