My fiancé coaches Erina's son in soccer, and for Christmas she gave him a generous gift card for a couple's massage. He called her one day to schedule us, weekends are typically busy, but Erina was able to squeeze us in. When we got there, the receptionist was already expecting us. The waiting area alone was already very relaxing. My fiancé even said that if he worked there, he would be asleep instantly, with the calming music and aroma. It didn't take long to wait, Emily and Leah our masseuses, greeted us and showed us to our room and left us to get comfortable. When we were ready, they worked on our problem areas. And they were amazing. I don't think I've ever had a massage that intense before. After our session, they talked to us for a bit and showed us what we need to do and work on some more. I went to Elements Massage after using yelp in desperation because of my tension headaches. I was booked with Jay for an 80 minute massage. It was amazing. I signed up right away for their monthly massage program. I would normally never do this in a million years, but I'm in such need of relief and I was so impressed with my massage that I did it without hesitation. So often in the past, I've had massages that just leave me in more pain the following day. My therapist, Bill, suggested a deep tissue massage, and it really helped! I have never been to this business and every month I see a $109.00 charge from ELEMENTS COSTA MESA on my credit card statement, for the last 3-4 months. Every month I have to call my credit card company to dispute the charge. Even with a new card number issued this business still manage to charge me again and again. There's some weird business going on and I will be reporting this to Better Business Bureau, local authorities, etc. Be careful with your information. read more

Awesome ambience and decor - you immediately feel relaxed when you walk into this place. The front staff were friendly and helpful in answering questions. I came in for the 55 minute massage and it was SOOOOO worth it. I was a bit reluctant to try the male massage therapist but am a total convert now! K'von was the BEST! Going in it seemed so great. Giovanni does a really good job at selling a product and making it seem so easy to get out of the contract. This is not the case, however. Very deceitful selling points. This place is very modern and elegant without feeling cold. As soon as you walk in, you feel relaxed and comfortable. I was really impressed by the decor and how clean everything was. The front staff were really professional and explained everything from the get go. But the best thing was my massage therapist Chris. Trust me you are in good hands (literally) with Chris. :) He is so sweet and professional and has magic hands. He got out knots I didn't even know could exist. I am new to the area and needed to find a good quality massage therapist. I visited elements therapeutic for the first time yesterday and I feel so amazing today! I saw David and he worked magic on my back! I visit the gym 6 days a week and massage therapy is so important for recovery! David's massage was perfect pressure. He found sensitive spots in my back I didn't even notice was bothersome! I only did an hour but next time will definitely do a 2 hour session! I also signed up for they monthly package! I have gone to get a professional massage once or twice. This was my first time at an Elements. I have to admit this was the best massage parlor I have been to. The girls at the front desk were extremely sweet and did a wonderful job at setting the mood. They were there and offered everything I wanted before I could even ask. I went for a couple's massage with my fiance. It was her first time and she was somewhat nervous. The therapists helped make her feel at ease. I had Becci, and she was the best therapist I've had. This was my first experience getting a massage and it definitely made me want to go back for more. I was really nervous about the massage because I didn't know what to expect. However, the friendly greeting from the employees at the front desk immediately calmed my nerves. The facilities were really nice and definitely helped set the mood. I had Liz for my massage and she was great. She found the perfect medium between too much pressure and too little pressure so I could feel that she was working my muscles without it being really painful. She explained where I had the most stress in my back and helped to explain why it got to be so tight, which was really interesting and will help me to take some preventative measures in the future. I've gotten at least two dozen massages here. The therapist are good across the board (I've tried about 6 or 7). The best so far (for my preference anyways) is Kerry Ann. Lots of experience and she can do deep tissue well with a purpose so you don't feel like the therapist is just pressing harder cause it's "deep tissue." The other therapists are very good as well.... Let me start by saying, the receptionist was very nice and professional, the place is clean and well organized, however, I used the ladies room before my appointment (9am) and there was no paper in the holder, had to get it out of cabinet in restroom ((poor opening procedures)).) Then my therapist, Rachel, comes in hobbling on one leg and a left elbow wrapped in tape. Now I'm a bit hesitant as to how she's going to work out. ' I have lots of issues in my body, but asked that she work from my glutes down, no feet, then move to neck. She asked if I wanted full body and I said no. I just want butt/legs/neck, more of a sports massage. She said "like stretching?" which I confirmed as my legs are really tight. She instructs me on how to lay on the table and then leaves the room for 3min. It only takes 30sec to undress so not sure of holdup, especially since this is a 50min massage. When she returns she starts to work on my back. Not what I asked for but thought she was just getting me relaxed. As it continued I finally asked her if she would move to the areas I specified and she said "it's only been 10 minutes." That's 10 minutes more than I had asked for. Therapist goes to do glutes and totally covers them up, then, using knuckles, proceeds to do a few compressions around iliac crest, sacrum, then pushes on my trochanteric bursa (at hip bone) even though I told her I have bursitis in both hips, just a bit painful. Fortunately it only last a few seconds. Worked the rest of the leg fairly well, but with her long strokes she only worked the belly of the muscle and never took the stroke to the attachment site (quads/hamstrings.) I felt like I was getting half a massage. Maybe she shortened her strokes because they are so afraid of getting anywhere near "private areas", but I felt really cheated. As far as the stretching that I asked for, at the end of working each leg when I was face up, she pulled on my foot for about 5 seconds. The next stretch was out to the side and she pulled until I had to tell her to stop as she was going beyond comfort level. I had expected someone, who I was told was their top therapist, would feel the tension. Had I not stopped her I think my tendons would have popped. Also she never worked my adductor (inner thigh) muscles (except for the 5second stretch.) I have had better neck work when I went to massage school When I checked out I asked if it was policy for the therapists not to work directly on the glutes or inner thigh. I was told no bare glutes, but they could work on inner thigh (which was not done.) The best part was no one tried to sell me any membership program, not that I would have bought it, but I will go back to another therapist as I bought their $99 2 massage special. Live and learn. Rachel may be their top therapist, but I think probably came right out of school and has not taken any more courses to increase her competency. Very sweet gal though and apologized for not working my adductors. read more

I originally found Elements on Yelp earlier this year and went in based on the positive reviews. After the first massage, I knew I would be back. I have now been going there at least once a month and sometimes twice. I have tried 4 of the therapists now and all have been pretty darn good. The quality, value and convenience simply can't be beat. The owner is very involved and wants everyone to have a great experience. She values ideas and feedback which I really respect.
