Estelle really worked my aches & really listened to my request. I can't say enough about her skills. It's when I went to pay I was surprised by the hidden $20 cost for a scented oil. I really wanted to like this company for weekly massages. But when I went in I asked specifically what the charge I had cash & wanted TIP accordingly. WHY not tell the client by the way $20 for scented oil. Not a problem but when you ask and then deceive the client like, why ? Estelle isn't the person who is to blame it's the front office staff. I REALLY needed a massage and it was by luck that I was handed a pamphlet for this new place in Costa Mesa that was offering a $39 special for 55-minutes. It was the universe telling me that I deserved one. Booking was super easy. Within one phone call, the friendly receptionist made Jaime and I an appointment. I wanted a deep tissue and she assured me that they had someone perfect for me. Once I got there, it was super easy to find. The directions they give are super clear, even for this idiot that gets lost around his own house. It's on the corner of Harbor and Adams in the shopping center with CVS. Once you walk in, you're greeted, sat in some comfy chairs and then made to fill out out some paperwork. Standard and simple. The place was super clean- probably because they had only been open a week, but I was impressed. The decor was very modern and the chairs were plush and the couches were really soft. We were the only two people in the waiting room, I guess they stagger appointments so it's not a crazy mess, but they do offer walk-ins, so maybe some times will be busier than others. We came on a Sunday at 1PM and it was quiet. Just the way I like it. My masseuse was an awesome lady named Chana (pronounced Shawna). She led me to the room, talked me through the procedures and then told me to take off any or all of my clothes. I opted to keep the undies on, but layed down on a padded massage table with some soft linens. The room was sort of small, dimly lit and there was quiet, zen-like music playing in the background. I could have fallen asleep (and almost did a couple of times.) She got into some crazy places in my back with her elbows I think. It was deep tissue alright, and I couldn't help from laughing because I'm super ticklish (I'm not the ideal massage client). She was extremely patient and I tried to hold in my giggling as much as I could. I almost lost it on my knees and ribs, but she got me through it. The 55-minute massage felt like 10. I can see how people can easily stay for 80-110 minutes. I left feeling like I was in nice euphoric trance. She told me to drink lots of water and eat this piece of chocolate to keep my grounded. She didn't have to tell me twice. She even gave me some tips to keep some of my muscles stretched out using a tennis ball. As I'm writing this, I'm actually rolling one under my foot (see, I listen.) I liked my experience so much, I'm going back in four-weeks. It's not going to be as cheap, but they have that $49 for 55-minutes for first-timers still going. I'd recommend that if you need a quick fix. Word of wisdom- deep tissue feels great, but then can get really sore later. Just make sure you drink a ton of water and you'll be fine. Very shady business practices. They have the typical 'franchise' mentality where they lure you in with the lower priced initial visit which I get but then you get the heavy sales tactics to join their 'membership' program in order to get a "discount" for one massage a month for $69 vs $99. Once locked in, you have to cancel 30 days in advance which I understand is typical. I requested a cancellation in January of this year (Note: they will also attempt to require you to come into the office to complete a form to do so) and was coerced by staff to put in a suspension instead. I came back either the same day or days later and requested that it was changed to a full cancelation. The gentleman working stated several times (apparently he didn't want to go thru paperwork right then) "we'll contact you 30 days prior to charging your card again and you can cancel then". This was the last I heard from them until they attempted to charge a card last month that didn't go thru (thankfully, it was a fraud protection freeze). I returned their call explained what the staff member had told me and they wanted me to fill out yet another form to which I did and have a timestamped email to confirm to cancel. The associate confirmed that another charge would not be applied. This was May 1st. Lo and behold, its June 1st and I see yet another charge on my account. Buyer beware, I do not recommend joining their membership program. Not only do they make it very difficult to cancel, but even when you do they will still continue to charge your card. read more

SEIKO AND BEN areee AMAZING!! sieko is my usual go to girl. her hands are magical. i come in with so much pain and leave feeling soOooOoo good. she knows exactly what to do and knows where it hurts. shes cute and her personality is sweet and funny !! she doesnt seem to rush either . last night i needed a massage becausw my body was in so much pain . my appointment wasnt til the next day, so i called to come a day before. seiko wasnt available so they told me BEN would be a good match for me .. & BEN was definitely amazing . he did an amazing job on my neck and made sure the pressure was good . my boyfriend usually goes to jackie and shelby and says their both really good . so im guessing this place has really good and experienced workers !! cause we haven't had a bad experience . the front desk people are also very nice everyrhing about this place is awesome :) read more

They've turned up the temperature in their rooms to a more spa-like temp, and they treat you like gold here, so I LOVE them. I started going to Chelsea to try someone new, and I absolutely LOVE her. I've been to the best of the best places, and she's the best masseuse I've ever had. All I have to say is....get a deep tissue massage from Seiko. She is amazing. She would run her fingers down my neck/back and suddenly stop where it is most tender. It's like she knows where my muscles are most sore and focuses on them. It's amazing and I find it so intriguing. My mom and I had a blast. I'm thinking about subscribing to their monthly service. I am grateful I found my healer Danielle!!!! I have been through the ringer trying to manage the pain in my head and neck - and had Drs put me through unnecessary radiation (X-rays and CT scans) trying to find out the cause of why I was losing my hearing and had severe pain and vision problems in my right eye Being an artist and musician, the last thing you want to have happen is a loss in either vision or hearing! And with no clues as to what is the cause. I even saw a chiropractor for a couple years - who I now believe actually did more damage than healing - and it threw me for a loop that my problem was a muscle related issue - because I WAS seeing the massage girls at that chiropractors office every-time I did an adjustment... Well fast forward to the day I stepped into Elements, and wrote down a few symptoms of my pain on the 1 page check in sheet before my first visit, Danielle greeted me and I briefly explained to her what i was dealing with, that I was having specialists look at my head and neck etc. The first few mins of the massage, she grabbed the muscle (which I then thought was a tumor) and she squeezed it really hard (which I thought she was going to cut off my blood supply) but then realized she knew what she was doing. I stopped her and asked - how did she know to grab that part of my neck?( I didn't tell her that specific part of my neck had been getting ultrasounds but I had no luck with getting a conclusion by the Drs) Well she named the scientific name of the muscle and then went on to explain all the problems of what happens when the muscle gets out of whack, which was pretty much the same symptoms what I am described on the paperwork that she read and soaked in before our session. As soon as she told me about that muscle I was ever grateful to her (but also mad at mainstream Drs for letting it go for so long like that and leaving me in such pain!) Danielle if you are reading this - you have no idea how much of a positive impact you have made on my physical health in such a short time!!!! Thank you for all your studying and efforts learning about muscles and how they affect us when they are tight!!!! You have saved me having to go through more scans and radiation and I am sincerely grateful!!!! And the staff here are all very nice too!!! read more

Chana was awesome. She's very knowledgeable and she really knows her stuff. She did a great job on my super stiff neck, shoulders and back. If I go back, I will ask for her. This is a great place to get a massage, it has a nice ambiance, the massage table was super comfy with nice blankets and sheets. The front desk girl was sweet. I'm glad they called me on Saturday to remind me of my Sunday appointment because I totally forgot about it. I didn't buy the massage package because I get most of my massages at my Chiropractor's office and they are covered by our insurance. read more

Just had my first cupping massage with Rosie and it was fantastic! I think this type of massage accomplished in one visit what normally would take three or four regular massage visits to do. I immediately felt relief from pain and tightness in my neck, shoulders, and back caused by a bulging disc in my neck. I've had normal cupping done in PT and during acupuncture visits, but massage done with the cups was far more effective for me. It does leave some redness, so be mindful of that if you get your neck worked on, but the results far out weigh the blemishes. Rosie is a top notch therapist who listens to my needs and works out the areas I've asked for help on. All the therapists at Elements are great. Update as of last night... I've had many many massage therapists over the years at different locations and different therapists and there are 3 out of maybe 20 different therapists I've had who REALLY excel to the highest degree, who REALLY hit the right pressure points without you even having to say anything, and Libby is one of them! Most amazing massage I've ever had in my liiife! She is absolutely worth every dollar and more... I don't know why some massage therapists are like not horrible but just not amazing but she is definitely beyond amazing, wow just wow she will really transcend every inch of your body into a holistic healing place, a true healer, absolutely she is a very memorable massage and as my schedule permits, I will definitely go back to her ! I love Sandy. I followed her to Costa Mesa from another Elements location that she previously worked at. I've been seeing her for about a year now. I have chronic pain in my neck, back, and shoulders that interferes with my daily life, both physically and mentally. Every time I see Sandy I leave relaxed and pain-free. Not only is she an amazing massage therapist -- she's super sweet and friendly! I've had the Elements wellness program for two years I think it's absolutely worth the money if you plan to go consistently for maintenance. Okay here's the deal. A massage is supposed to relieve tension. Well not only did my massage not relieve my tension, it made it about ten times worse. I woke up this morning and my back is nearly in spasm and I have to go to work later. Also, my therapist kept telling me how awful I was at taking care of myself while she was "massaging" my back. I don't need to hear that. I know I have an incredibly busy life and have back tension because I don't have the time to go out and fix it... cause I'm at work. Don't go here. Just don't. Unless of course you enjoy your back pain and would like more of it. read more

I went in with neck and upper back pain and spasms. I just wanted to get rid of the pain, I was more than absolutely delighted about the outcome of my 90 minute massage. Cyerra was completely professional with the addition of a personal touch and care to my pain and needs. Honestly I wasn't expecting much from a massage, but she absolutely delivered an experience that my muscles will be thinking about for a while. Great service, every time! I have been a regular client for over 1 year. Elements is close to home and appointment scheduling (even last-minute) has been easy. I suffer from many autoimmune diseases, which cause many disrupting symptoms like pain, swelling,muscular knots, and scar tissue that require regular massage therapy. At Elements, I have never had a bad experience. I have never walked away feeling worse or unsatisfied from a Swedish, deep tissue, or trigger-point massage. The male and female therapists have been some of the best I've experienced. They communicate very well and practically fix my musculoskeletal pain each visit. The waiting area is also enjoyable. Emily is Amazing! My wife discovered Elements on Yelp thanks to their 5-star rating about a month ago. She had a such a wonderful experience at that time that she signed us up for their wellness program. Well yesterday was my opportunity to check it out for myself and I could not be happier! I sit behind a desk most days so my lower back and shoulders tend to tighten up. I have had several massages over the years and though I don't think there is such a thing as a bad massage, sometimes they can just be fluff without really addressing problems. My preference is somewhere between Swedish and deep tissue. Well Emily really took the time to listen about my areas of concern and she went to town! She found knots I didn't know I had and applied the right amount of pressure each time to make sure they were worked out. They've given me some of the best massages I've ever had. They have different styles, but both equally amazing. They both listen carefully to what you want, and then they do exactly that. Very much enjoyed this massage. Pricing was very fair. We were late for the massages, but they accommodated us easily. I asked for deep tissue, and had a male masseuse, which I think I prefer. I had such a strong massage that my muscled ached for the next 24 hours, but it was great. I'm definitely happy with the experience I've had with elements for the past year. I became a member almost as soon as I moved to costa mesa, after a much needed massage. I'm a young professional, more focused on saving money than spending it, but this was always an expense that I believed was well worth it. I constantly have weeks where I get so tense from work that I get knots in my neck and shoulders. Shelby was consistently the therapist who worked with me. She is intuitive and kind and skilled. I never fall asleep during massages because I want to consciously savor them, but with Shelby I get so relaxed that I get right up to that point. I decided to try therapeutic massage after noticing neck and shoulder pain during my workouts. I scheduled few sessions with David and the results exceeded my expectation. He was very proficient and knowledgable. At the final session he also informed me on other minor issues which I could overcome on my own through regular exercises. The only downside was some complications with the account management and getting enrolled on a monthly plan which was kindly reviewed and resolved by Erina, the owner at this location. Since 2015, I have given gift-massages to several relatives & friends and do recommend David based on my own experience. read more

I had my first experience at Elements last evening, and I cannot express how excited I am that this place is walking distance from my apartment! The waiting room was relaxing and well-kept, the front desk staff were helpful and very clear with their directions, and finally, my massage was incredible! As I entered the studio I was greeted by Jessica and she made me feel very comfortable as we filled out my form to customize my massage which was a 90 min with aroma and salt stone. The studio felt inviting and the energy level was great. After Jessica and I spoke she introduced me to my massage therapist who's name is also Jessica. The MT Jessica totally addressed all of my needs in the room during my 90 min and I came out feeling relaxed. I purchased a monthly membership with them back in August of 2021. I went to new sessions and wasn't happy with the service I was provided. I have contacted them over 20 times since then(via email and over the phone) to cancel my me membership as I wasn't happy with my service. Yet every single they have still charged me. I even canceled the card they had on file and got a new hoping that would stop the monthly charges, get they somehow got my new card information and still charged me! They have taken hundreds of dollars from me now at this point and it's ridiculous!! I even took all the money out of my account this month, and they still emailed me saying my payment was unsuccessful but are still trying to charge me. Apparently this is how they make their money because their massage therapists are not that good. They have to steal money from people in order to stay on business. Stay away from them! They will steal your hard earned money! read more

First time getting a massage for both my husband and I. I scheduled our couples massage same day, no problem. The front desk lady was pleasant. The owner came out to greet us. We explained to her that we were both massage noobz and she gave us the rundown. Our masseuses, Kristijan & Shelby, came out to greet us and take us in the room and both were friendly and made us feel comfortable from the beginning. The room they lead us to was clean and warm.
