Very shady business practices. They have the typical 'franchise' mentality where they lure you in with the lower priced initial visit which I get but then you get the heavy sales tactics to join their 'membership' program in order to get a "discount" for one massage a month for $69 vs $99. Once locked in, you have to cancel 30 days in advance which I understand is typical. I requested a cancellation in January of this year (Note: they will also attempt to require you to come into the office to complete a form to do so) and was coerced by staff to put in a suspension instead. I came back either the same day or days later and requested that it was changed to a full cancelation. The gentleman working stated several times (apparently he didn't want to go thru paperwork right then) "we'll contact you 30 days prior to charging your card again and you can cancel then". This was the last I heard from them until they attempted to charge a card last month that didn't go thru (thankfully, it was a fraud protection freeze). I returned their call explained what the staff member had told me and they wanted me to fill out yet another form to which I did and have a timestamped email to confirm to cancel. The associate confirmed that another charge would not be applied. This was May 1st. Lo and behold, its June 1st and I see yet another charge on my account. Buyer beware, I do not recommend joining their membership program. Not only do they make it very difficult to cancel, but even when you do they will still continue to charge your card. read more

They've turned up the temperature in their rooms to a more spa-like temp, and they treat you like gold here, so I LOVE them. I started going to Chelsea to try someone new, and I absolutely LOVE her. I've been to the best of the best places, and she's the best masseuse I've ever had. Attention & being able to listen, and being able to take your time, is key - She's got it all, and she's a sweetheart, too. read more

Big shout out to Melody, who is by far the best massage therapist I've come across. She listened to what I asked for to a T! She cared about what was wrong with my body and focused on making it better. Which to me, is what massage should be all about, but for some reason is hard to find. I will definitely be back because of the awesome job she did. Front office were also great. Thank you! read more

All I have to say is....get a deep tissue massage from Seiko. She is amazing. She would run her fingers down my neck/back and suddenly stop where it is most tender. It's like she knows where my muscles are most sore and focuses on them. It's amazing and I find it so intriguing. My mom and I had a blast. I'm thinking about subscribing to their monthly service. I've been to many massage places before, and I felt the best walking out of this place. read more

I've never been so compelled to write a review before until tonight! WOW!!! I just walked out feeling like a million thanks to Kevin, and of course the entire team there. Professional, friendly.. Explains everything thoroughly! I've had my share of massages... Even been to a chiro office but never have I received a deep tissue massage like tonight! Wow wow wow!! Kevin is seriously the best!!!! This coming from someone who never commits to any type of programs or pkgs... I signed up for their monthly program. Don't think I'll be able to go anywhere else after this! Woooowwwwww Thank you Kevin and team! read more

I am grateful I found my healer Danielle!!!! I have been through the ringer trying to manage the pain in my head and neck - and had Drs put me through unnecessary radiation (X-rays and CT scans) trying to find out the cause of why I was losing my hearing and had severe pain and vision problems in my right eye Being an artist and musician, the last thing you want to have happen is a loss in either vision or hearing! And with no clues as to what is the cause. I even saw a chiropractor for a couple years - who I now believe actually did more damage than healing - and it threw me for a loop that my problem was a muscle related issue - because I WAS seeing the massage girls at that chiropractors office every-time I did an adjustment... Well fast forward to the day I stepped into Elements, and wrote down a few symptoms of my pain on the 1 page check in sheet before my first visit, Danielle greeted me and I briefly explained to her what i was dealing with, that I was having specialists look at my head and neck etc. The first few mins of the massage, she grabbed the muscle (which I then thought was a tumor) and she squeezed it really hard (which I thought she was going to cut off my blood supply) but then realized she knew what she was doing. I stopped her and asked - how did she know to grab that part of my neck?( I didn't tell her that specific part of my neck had been getting ultrasounds but I had no luck with getting a conclusion by the Drs) Well she named the scientific name of the muscle and then went on to explain all the problems of what happens when the muscle gets out of whack, which was pretty much the same symptoms what I am described on the paperwork that she read and soaked in before our session. As soon as she told me about that muscle I was ever grateful to her (but also mad at mainstream Drs for letting it go for so long like that and leaving me in such pain!) Danielle if you are reading this - you have no idea how much of a positive impact you have made on my physical health in such a short time!!!! Thank you for all your studying and efforts learning about muscles and how they affect us when they are tight!!!! You have saved me having to go through more scans and radiation and I am sincerely grateful!!!! And the staff here are all very nice too!!! read more

Chana was awesome. She's very knowledgeable and she really knows her stuff. She did a great job on my super stiff neck, shoulders and back. If I go back, I will ask for her. This is a great place to get a massage, it has a nice ambiance, the massage table was super comfy with nice blankets and sheets. The front desk girl was sweet. I'm glad they called me on Saturday to remind me of my Sunday appointment because I totally forgot about it. I didn't buy the massage package because I get most of my massages at my Chiropractor's office and they are covered by our insurance. read more

This was the best massage I've had in a long time. I get one about every month but this was my first time to Element. Emiko was great and the owner, Irene was there and very friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing massage. read more

Okay here's the deal. A massage is supposed to relieve tension. Well not only did my massage not relieve my tension, it made it about ten times worse. I woke up this morning and my back is nearly in spasm and I have to go to work later. Also, my therapist kept telling me how awful I was at taking care of myself while she was "massaging" my back. I don't need to hear that. I know I have an incredibly busy life and have back tension because I don't have the time to go out and fix it... cause I'm at work. Don't go here. Just don't. Unless of course you enjoy your back pain and would like more of it. read more

Love this place! Great service and wonderful massage. Highly recommended!! Danielle is my favorite so far but will try others. Convenient location, nice and clean. Will definitely go for the membership to save money on each massage. I'm a former Burke Williams customer so I'm VERY PICKY!! UPDATE: Just had 90-minute with Leah... It was fantastic! read more

Go to David! He's so amazing I told the manager he should train all the other therapists. I'm part of the wellness program. It's a tad expensive and they have corporate style rules, but if you can get over that it's worth it. I've been probably 8 times and it sounds like I'll have a free massage after two more times so make sure you do the rewards program and put in your phone number! read more

I've been going here for about 8 months now. I've never had anything but great customer service from the front staff. I did sign up for the membership and although it did feel somewhat gimmicky/salesman-like when they were explaining it to me, (I was skeptical) it indeed isn't. It's very clear, makes sense, you can stop it at any time, and the upgrades/promos are more than worth it. I can even share it with my boyfriend! Now for the actual massage: I prefer deep tissue/sports-type massages. I asked the front for a recommendation and they said Brian. I've been seeing him ever since! He's great. Always asks what I want to work on the day (sore shoulders, back, etc) and does a great job. Best of all, he always has good availability. Highly recommend! read more

I have been here twice and the second time was really impressive. Giovanni and his staff give and provide excellent customer service. I was in there on Tuesday and had issues with my membership and Giovanni went above and beyond to help me and keep me satisfied. The Costa Mesa Elements is now my new home location! On top of relaxing massages, the staff goes above and beyond for their customers. Having worked in customer service myself it is rare to come across this kind of service. What they have done for me is greatly appreciated! Thank you Giovanni and your staff! read more

I have been going to Elements for a year now and Seiko has been working with me the entire time. I live an active lifestyle and had some chronic back issues. Having Seiko work on me over the last year has helped with my back trouble and my experience with her overall has been incredible. The staff at Elements are professional, the place is very clean and I would encourage anyone to go if they're looking for a massage. Seiko has been great to work with and I would highly recommend her. read more

My wife and I go to Elements as much as possible. We joined their wellness program and have been very happy. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly. We never feel pressured to upgrade or anything. Often we have nice chats with the staff as we wait for our massage. The therapists have all been good, and making a couples appointments have been easy...in fact moss of the time we are able to get an appointment the day we call! We have been doing this for a couple years now which is pretty amazing for my wife and me. Highly recommended. read more

Best massage I've ever had. Massage envy dosent even come close. This ambiance was so nice and everything seemed very clean and comfortable. My masseuse was great and very attentive. Honestly I dont think I will ever go anywhere else. read more

Great service, every time! I have been a regular client for over 1 year. Elements is close to home and appointment scheduling (even last-minute) has been easy. I suffer from many autoimmune diseases, which cause many disrupting symptoms like pain, swelling, muscular knots, and scar tissue that require regular massage therapy. At Elements, I have never had a bad experience. I have never walked away feeling worse or unsatisfied from a Swedish, deep tissue, or trigger-point massage. The male and female therapists have been some of the best I've experienced. They communicate very well and practically fix my musculoskeletal pain each visit. The waiting area is also enjoyable. I have never suffered with a difficult front desk associate or long wait. read more

Emily is Amazing! My wife discovered Elements on Yelp thanks to their 5-star rating about a month ago. She had a such a wonderful experience at that time that she signed us up for their wellness program. Well yesterday was my opportunity to check it out for myself and I could not be happier! I sit behind a desk most days so my lower back and shoulders tend to tighten up. I have had several massages over the years and though I don't think there is such a thing as a bad massage, sometimes they can just be fluff without really addressing problems. My preference is somewhere between Swedish and deep tissue. Well Emily really took the time to listen about my areas of concern and she went to town! She found knots I didn't know I had and applied the right amount of pressure each time to make sure they were worked out. I truly felt the difference when she was done, and I have no problem referring her and Elements to anyone looking for a great massage! read more

Love this place. Adrianna was amazing and Kevin at the front desk took the time to pair me with a therapist perfect for my issues. I would recommend the wellness membership. I am thrilled to have found this place right around the corner from my home ! read more

Holly is new here, but I am telling you she is amazing! Her knowledge of physiology and the body is helping me so much! Holly, thanks for being so attentive and concerned for your clients! read more

I like this place. Used to have a membership at a different massage chain, but this one is better. Comparable priced.

Update as of last night... I've had many many massage therapists over the years at different locations and different therapists and there are 3 out of maybe 20 different therapists I've had who REALLY excel to the highest degree, who REALLY hit the right pressure points without you even having to say anything, and Libby is one of them! Most amazing massage I've ever had in my liiife! She is absolutely worth every dollar and more... I don't know why some massage therapists are like not horrible but just not amazing but she is definitely beyond amazing, wow just wow she will really transcend every inch of your body into a holistic healing place, a true healer, absolutely she is a very memorable massage and as my schedule permits, I will definitely go back to her ! Lidia in Laguna Niguel is another one that is unbelievable. Between the two of them, wow just wow. She is seriously the absolute best massage therapist here.. read more

this elements massage branch is the best massage center I've been to (and I've been to several in the area) I started coming here over a year ago and haven't gone anywhere else since then. every time I walk in they greet me by name and always have cold lemon water on deck. Shelby has been great and I highly recommend getting a massage from her. Relaxing and pain re-leaving all in one. Thanks everyone at Elements! Keep up the great work -Jon z read more

Estelle really worked my aches & really listened to my request. I can't say enough about her skills. It's when I went to pay I was surprised by the hidden $20 cost for a scented oil. I really wanted to like this company for weekly massages. But when I went in I asked specifically what the charge I had cash & wanted TIP accordingly. WHY not tell the client by the way $20 for scented oil. Not a problem but when you ask and then deceive the client like, why ? Estelle isn't the person who is to blame it's the front office staff. Not cool! read more

Very much enjoyed this massage. Pricing was very fair. We were late for the massages, but they accommodated us easily. I asked for deep tissue, and had a male masseuse, which I think I prefer. I had such a strong massage that my muscled ached for the next 24 hours, but it was great. Nice clean rooms and a super friendly receptionist, along with the great prices, makes this a place that I would come back to. read more

Just had my first cupping massage with Rosie and it was fantastic! I think this type of massage accomplished in one visit what normally would take three or four regular massage visits to do. I immediately felt relief from pain and tightness in my neck, shoulders, and back caused by a bulging disc in my neck. I've had normal cupping done in PT and during acupuncture visits, but massage done with the cups was far more effective for me. It does leave some redness, so be mindful of that if you get your neck worked on, but the results far out weigh the blemishes. Rosie is a top notch therapist who listens to my needs and works out the areas I've asked for help on. All the therapists at Elements are great. Hope you have the great healing results massage can bring too. read more

I love Sandy. I followed her to Costa Mesa from another Elements location that she previously worked at. I've been seeing her for about a year now. I have chronic pain in my neck, back, and shoulders that interferes with my daily life, both physically and mentally. Every time I see Sandy I leave relaxed and pain-free. Not only is she an amazing massage therapist -- she's super sweet and friendly! I've had the Elements wellness program for two years I think it's absolutely worth the money if you plan to go consistently for maintenance. The monthly massages roll over if you aren't able to make it that month. I really like this place and definitely recommend Elements and Sandy! read more

1st class customer service. The 55-minute massage I received on Friday, May 16, was awesome! From the outset, Rene' was determined to ensure my expectations were met...BTW - they were exceeded....Thanks, Rene. As a small business owner, I value honest feedback. Consequently, upon receiving an online survey request, I communicated a concern I had with respect to miscommunication over an online voucher I had purchased. The owner of the establishment telephoned me first thing Monday morning to apologize. She then went above and beyond to make it right. I booked my next massage appointment on the spot and can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a 5-star massage establishment, look no further. read more

I'm definitely happy with the experience I've had with elements for the past year. I became a member almost as soon as I moved to costa mesa, after a much needed massage. I'm a young professional, more focused on saving money than spending it, but this was always an expense that I believed was well worth it. I constantly have weeks where I get so tense from work that I get knots in my neck and shoulders. Shelby was consistently the therapist who worked with me. She is intuitive and kind and skilled. I never fall asleep during massages because I want to consciously savor them, but with Shelby I get so relaxed that I get right up to that point. The front desk staff have always been kind, friendly, and professional. Jovanny, the GM, is helpful, efficient, and genuine. read more

I went in with neck and upper back pain and spasms. I just wanted to get rid of the pain, I was more than absolutely delighted about the outcome of my 90 minute massage. Cyerra was completely professional with the addition of a personal touch and care to my pain and needs. Honestly I wasn't expecting much from a massage, but she absolutely delivered an experience that my muscles will be thinking about for a while. If anyone wants to schedule an appointment here, I'd absolutely recommend Cyerra, she'll take care of you're pain with her angel-like hands. My husband and I both had great massages here. I've been to Nick twice and he is excellent with deep tissue massages. This is long overdue, but my husband and I are members here. We've both had so many great massages. Speaking for me personally, I love Noriko and Ahlimah! They've given me some of the best massages I've ever had. They have different styles, but both equally amazing. They both listen carefully to what you want, and then they do exactly that. I always leave feeling so refreshed and invigorated. My husband's favorite masseuse here is Shelby (who I have yet to try, but will soon!). Highly recommend this location! read more

I had my first experience at Elements last evening, and I cannot express how excited I am that this place is walking distance from my apartment! The waiting room was relaxing and well-kept, the front desk staff were helpful and very clear with their directions, and finally, my massage was incredible! The 90 minutes I spent with Kevin was everything that I needed to help loosen my muscles and relax my body before bed. Kevin frequently asked if the pressure level was to my liking, which is an extra touch to help me feel more comfortable. I would definitely recommend Elements to all of my friends! Thanks again, Kevin! read more

First time getting a massage for both my husband and I. I scheduled our couples massage same day, no problem. The front desk lady was pleasant. The owner came out to greet us. We explained to her that we were both massage noobz and she gave us the rundown. Our masseuses, Kristijan & Shelby, came out to greet us and take us in the room and both were friendly and made us feel comfortable from the beginning. The room they lead us to was clean and warm. They did super great work on both my husband and myself. We were on cloud nine and left feeling amazing!!! Anyway, long story short, we loved our sessions and will definitely be back. read more

This place has sub-par masseurs and is essentially a hard sales push to sign up for monthly membership. The membership is not easy to freeze or cancel, and ends up charging you an extra month's payment when you do end it. Not worth the $ or hassle. Can get better, cheaper massages elsewhere. That said, the facility is clean, with nice music, warmed blankets and comfortable rooms. My first experience was pleasant enough that I caved and signed up for a membership, though I didn't think the massage itself was great (just thought it was the guy I got). On the next visit I asked for their best masseur, but was severely disappointed. He couldn't get to the right pressure (asked for medium), and his technique was digging in his thumbs; I had thumb-shaped bruises all over my legs. Not good. But still gave them a third chance... and yet again walked away feeling far worse than when I went in. Regarding their client service/communication: they were supposed to freeze my account and didn't, a month later I got doubly charged because of an "unknown" accounting error, and when I complained the condescending manager wouldn't even take off a payment- though it was their miscommunication and computer error. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more
