I have chronic muscle pain and tightness. It's from my head to my toe. Bill has helped in so many ways. He released some areas that I have struggled with for years, for example my IT band, shoulder and hamstring. He also brought awareness to my body and I learned about specific trigger points. Unfortunately, I still struggle with muscle tightness, but, with out my Rolfing treatment I would not have the body knowledge I now have. I am a camera operator and technician by trade, and spend my days on set working 12+ hours lugging heavy equipment. I am 76 years old and just finished the series of 10 with Bill. All I can say is, He is amazing!!!!!!!!! His work on me opened up my body to where I am standing taller and straighter. I am much more flexible and limber as compared to when I started with him. The pain I had in my shoulders hampered some of the exercises at Pilates. The pain is now gone and I can do whatever exercise I have to. He got into my shoulders and arm pits and it opened everything up and I can now raise my arms straight up toward the ceiling. My walking improved and I feel more connected to my body now.] Wow, what a difference 10 sessions can make. I recently completed a 10 series with Bill and it was an amazing experience. Bill is extremely professional and very competent. Bill has been an incredible healer to work with. I finished the 10 series and this process has really helped transform some ongoing issue with pain. It's easier for me to sit up straight and keep my shoulders low. I have had TMJ as long as i can remember and it's only getting worse. I have tried almost everything without any real results until I started rolfing with Bill. I just completed my 10 session and I am amazed at the positive transformation. Bill was able to shift my jaw back into its original position which I didn't think was possible. His intra-oral manual therapy really helped in releasing the tension in my jaw muscles. i also had neck and shoulder pain which Bill worked on tirelessly to get my range of motion back. Rolfing has completely changed my posture and the way my body is aligned and I can't say enough good things about it and Bill. I went to him because I had a shoulder problem and 10 months later even after completing the 10 series I'm so into it it has become apart of my life. As a "wounded healer", I am on a constant search for legitimate, caring, talented, and skilled practitioners. Bill goes above and beyond his education and experience. He takes accountability for his work which results in impeccable technique and care for his clients. I chose the 10 series to help retrain my posture to be flowing and natural...to combat the many years of holding tension and injury in several parts of my body. Rolfing is unique as it unlocks insights into injuries if you quiet yourself enough to listen. For example, holding fear in the jaw...keeping a "stiff upper lip", biting back your words. You'll see. The process was a bit wrenching at times, but Bill has a way of putting a person at ease in the midst of releasing the tension that grips them. Breathe and let that go. It has been quite effective for me and I find my muscles to be more relaxed. My body awareness heightened as Bill gives you cues to consciously correct your posture. Working with Bill was a life changing experience. We did a single session where he triaged specific (chronic) back pain that I was having, and I haven't had trouble since. Then I did the 10 series with him, and I feel the work showed me how to properly walk and move. My body looks great, and I feel great because of it. Bill at Elemental Rolfing is really great on all points: demeanor, knowledge and ability. I was suffering from excruciating pain in my left hip. For some reason Rolfing swam into my line of sight as a treatment, and a respected friend/Acupuncturist gave me the thumbs up on it. While one session is not a magic bullet, there's no question he alleviated a great deal of my pain and returned much of my mobility. His office is soothing and well-decorated. (That's not nothing when you're looking to feel better.) His demeanor is professional yet down-to-earth and he clearly has the skills to read where a body is not aligned, and he knows how to address the misalignments. I would give him 6 stars if I could!
