So ever since we moved to Seattle we've been on this "support your neighborhood [blank]" thing. The quick story goes like this, we get out of cab at 2AM on a Saturday after a fun night out and walk to our door and see that our doggy is eagerly awaiting us on the other side of said glass door. The problem is, one of the locks to which we don't have a key for is locked. We typically use the pin pad on our deadbolt and don't carry a key. So the door handle lock is locked and this is because we were dog sitting and my buddy picked up his dog and locked every lock we have including the one we don't have a key for. Effin Perfect! We get out the ol' Android and search for "locksmith" on the Google maps hoping the 2AM "service charge" will be a bit more pleasant than prison sex. We speak to Yoni who is the owner of the company and he sounded awake. He said he'll be out in about 10 minutes and for us to stay warm and wait by the door. Well he showed up in about 5 minutes and was smiling. I'm thinking the smile was because he knew this venture was going to hurt us more than him. He introduced himself, went up to the lock and did his magic tool set thing, turned around and said "you're home". WTF? That fast? It took less than 20 seconds. He smiled and said "Welcome to the neighborhood and have a good night". He extended his hand to shake ours and started to walk off. I said "well so what do we owe you?". He answered "look I can't go back home and sleep tonight if I charge you for this job". WHAT? Do business owners like this still exist? He's a younger guy but his business ethics are very old school. Friday night I lost my ONLY set of keys for my 2012 Nissan Versa Hatchback. I called the dealership and they told me that I would have to have the car towed to the dealership so that they could make and program a new key. From the dealership, the key was 165 not including labor/programming I'm sure. Plus I'd have to pay a fortune to tow the car from Beacon Hill to Bellevue. I decided to call Element since they had such good reviews on Yelp -- not disappointed at all. The locksmith gave me the price over the phone and 50% off cutting a 2nd key. He showed up in less than 30 mins after the call and was done within an hour. How in the hell can you complain about that!? Over all, even with having the 2nd key cut, I saved money that otherwise would have gone to the dealership. TL;DR? If you are in the shitty situation of needing a locksmith, call these guys. I lost my house key and took the lock cylinders in to Lowe's late on a Sunday afternoon to get the locks rekeyed only to find out they don't do that anymore. I was sitting in the parking lot upset I would have to call for an emergency weekend home visit, even though I can do the install myself. I googled around and called Element and he happened to be a few blocks away and met me right there in the parking lot within two minutes. In another five, he had the locks rekeyed and handed them to me with four new keys. He was like a superhero swooping in! Everything worked beautifully and he was professional and friendly. He offered to meet me at my house to install them but I told him I planned to that myself and he was nothing but complimentary on my handywoman skills. I had gone on vacation for a couple of weeks and realized the morning of my return that I had locked my front door key inside the house. I called Element Locksmith and spoke to the dispatcher where we set up a plan for the technician to come to our home upon our return from the airport. I spoke to Eric a couple of times to set the arrival time and still ended up being late but Eric waited for us to return. This was at around 10:30 pm! Eric was able to offer a great suggestion and get us into our home in a fairly short amount of time. He showed an urgency toward understanding our problem and was able to have us back to normal very quickly. Justin at Element deserves 10 stars! It couldn't have been the worse time for the steering wheel/key lock cylinder to lock up my car. I was just driving my friend home from major surgery in Seattle and we needed to get home ASAP and we were stuck in the parking garage! I called AAA and they dispatched Justin immediately, he called me back within minutes and said try this -- and it worked and we were on our way with just a phone call. Justin ended the call with best wishes for my friend's recovery. He was professional, knew what the problem was and was genuinely concerned about getting my friend home. I called Element Locksmith at 5:17 pm on a Monday evening and Cody said he would be right over. He showed up immediately on THE HOTTEST day of the year and worked on my broken door knob (that we thought would need to be replaced) until it was 100% repaired. This was excellent service, a prompt response and reasonable prices. The previous locksmith I called hung up on me (I thought by mistake) and when I called him back, he said "I don't give lessons over the phone - figure it out on YouTube!! and then hung up on me again. ****Element Locksmith**** - if you want to keep getting reviews like this one, I highly recommend that you either give Cody a raise or promote him, or BOTH. I am a fan of Element Locksmith for sure. I had the tragic dealings of loosing car key and not just any car key but a key with a memory chip in it so this was an expensive item to replace. My dealership was charging 40 dollars for the key itself and then another 110 for service fee plus tow. It was suggested I call a locksmith and have them come to me. I fould Element to be very helpful and honest with quotes. Even when I said I was checking out pricing he gave me tips on what questions to ask. I decided to go with Element for the customer service I had received even before hire them. Not only did he make my car key but made a spare that would just let me into my car and helpful hints. I've used Element a few times and have always had a great experience. When our company needed new locks and keys, Yoni came out within an hour of calling and got the ball rolling. By the end of the day we had an entire new set of locks (5+ doors) and keys! When I locked my keys in the car, I again turned to Element. They were at my doorstep in 15 minutes and fixed the problem. No headache and no hidden fees. On both occasions, the job was done quickly, professionally and at a great price! Element has done such a great job that they inspired me to create a Yelp account. My significant other was not happy when I woke her up from her deep sleep with a loud "****! I locked your keys in your car, AND I LEFT THE LIGHTS ON!" Followed by "But in my defense you did, for some odd reason, have the spare key on the same key chain as the original". Im sure it sounded like I was saying "So its YOUR fault". Was given a quote of 25$ plus 75$ -150$ depending on the difficulty for getting locked out of my apartment. When the guy Alexander got here he spent less than 10 minutes with a hooked stick to wiggle the lock from the other side of the door and charged me 200$. When I asked why it was 200$ he said that's what he was told to charge me before he even got to my apartment, BEFORE he knew the difficulty of the door as we were told he would do. I called the manager Yoni and asked him to explain why it cost 200$. Was not given an answer. Proceeded to get lectured aggressively by Yoni about his personal lock smith experiences and did not give me a chance to speak. Will never even consider this company again. read more

I was locked out on a Friday night. What a horrible situation to be in. I called over five different locksmiths in the city but none can help me except Element Locksmith. They took down my location and got someone to look after me right away. Within minutes, Justin called me to ask me a few questions about my lock so he can get his tools ready. He was pleasant to talk to and assured me that he'll be at my apartment in a few minutes. Once he arrived, he wasted no time to get to my apartment and got me back into the apartment in 30 seconds! As a Realtor, I expect my clients to leave me the correct key when we list a house together. When it's the wrong key and the sellers are in a UHaul heading back to Texas with no cell phone, your favorite person is a locksmith that can get there stat! I guess that's fair, as most locksmithing businesses, if even legit in the first place, are super shady. I want this review to be posted and not filtered by the powers that be in the Yelp realm. Anyways, I had these guys come out because I got locked out of my house really late one night while my dog was stuck inside. Element responded within 5 minutes to my call, and the guy was very courteous and professional. Great service! My lock is electronic and the landlady doesn't want me to have a key (paranoid I'll make copies and come back years from now to wreak havoc I suppose). So, I come home late from being away for a month and it's very sluggish, almost dead. I need to replace the four AAs. I forget to to do it the next day and step out that evening. I'm locked out. Landlady is out of the country and she took the key with her. Called these guys at 1030pm. Service was very professional. The guy knew his craft. I lost my only key to my Ford Escape a little less than a year ago. It was winter time and of course it had to happen right after it started snowing!! These guys were super personable. Incredibly friendly and very responsive. They came at the appointed time. Checked in and were relatively fast. I should've done more research but was in a pinch. It was 45$ to come and just see if they could help. It should have been a pick assembly and cut, but Justin decided to take out the key assembly and replace. He did great work, but was WAY overcharged. 290$ for parts and labor. I would suggest another option before trying these guys. read more

Eric was amazing! He showed up right away and worked very hard. The lock that he was trying to get in to was much more difficult than anyone thought. He even broke quite a few of his own drill bits, but he kept at it. Once he was able to get through the old lock, he installed a new deadbolt for us quickly.
