I wanted to share my experience so others know what to expect. I went to Elegant Nail Salon in Conroe (by Target) for a pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails. It was my first time getting my nails done in about a year. To start on a positive note, the gentleman who did my pedicure initially was wonderful, very thorough, kind, and attentive. I will be going back just to tip him. He shaped my toes exactly how I asked, and I really appreciated his care. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill after that when a new guy came to finish the pedicure. When my toenails were painted, there was polish left on my skin and the cleanup was not finished. I didn't complain at the time because I just wanted to get through the appointment, but I was surprised it was considered complete. I was charged $60 for the pedicure. The biggest issue came when I moved on to getting a full set of acrylic nails. I was very clear from the beginning that I wanted short & square acrylics (powder, not shellac like he was insisting, yes I know refills are easier with shellac but I don't usually make it for refills). Black was my first color of choice. He told me that that was not a good choice so I reverted back to my normal color of choice, nude. He informed me that was also a bad choice, no problem, I chose a different nude color. Despite calmly repeating many times I wanted short and square nails, the nail tech continuously insisted I needed them longer and argued with me about my choice. I explained multiple times that I'm a bartender, I break long nails, and I simply do not want length, but my preference was not respected. The back-and-forth went on long enough that other customers were watching, which was embarrassing and uncomfortable. I kid you not I had to insist on short nails over and over and over again. Eventually I asked for the nails to be removed because I didn't want to keep arguing. Even then the conversation continued while I was trying to at least pay for my pedicure and leave. I ended up crying out of frustration and embarrassment which has never happened to me at a nail salon before. After leaving I noticed how messy my toes still were. When I contacted the salon about a partial refund, I was initially told one thing and then later told something different. I was asked to come back for a partial refund of $15, but at that point I was already embarrassed for having to repeat myself, the nail tech was making fun of me for chewing my nails, and clearly I wasn't going to get what I wanted, short square nails. Now short on time and the only day I have off before Christmas & going out of town, I went to another salon immediately after, where they removed the nails, did exactly what I asked for without any pushback, and even offered to fix my toes for free because of the condition they were in. That's when Pepsi offered me $30 back like I had originally asked for, at this point I'm upset, inconvenienced, and stretched for time. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel it's important to say this, clients should not have to argue repeatedly to get what they ask for, especially for a paid service. Clear communication, respecting customer preferences, and finishing services properly are essential. I hope this feedback helps the salon improve for future clients. read more

I've never had a worse nail job in my life. I asked for my nails to be shortened, she clipped the tops of my nails only and when she was filing the sides, she filed my finger skin. I asked for a spider web and this was $10.00. For that. She did not put regular polish underneath, just straight glitter which caused it to be thick. Having just moved to Conroe, my wife was trying to find a place to do her nails. She is very particular after moving away from her usual nail girl who did her pink and whites just the way she needed. We popped into Elegant Nails so she could try them out. The shop was nice and the staff seemed nice as well. My wife said that they did a great job on her nails and the price was reasonable as well. You would think that story would end her, but no it does not. Yes, she got great service, but it seems that the staff stole her debit card number and then used it to purchase items for their car the next day. Now, how did I know that it was Elegant Nails that stole her debit card number you ask? Well, this was a brand-new debit card, she just received from the bank that day and had never used it anywhere before and did not have time to use it anywhere else. That is how I am so sure on this. Yes, the bank cancelled the card and refunded the money to her account. Now, instead of a glowing review of the service at Elegant Nails, they are receiving a negative review and have lost my wife as a customer and will probably lose more as my wife is still furious over this incident. read more

Had my manicure & pedicure done there for the 1st time today. The owner is friendly & had me attended right away. No wait time. Price is right - regular pedicure $25 & regular manicure is $ 20 but had asked for flower design for additional $5. Not bad at all. Love how my mani & pedi turned out. I had to be in Conroe for a prior engagement so I stopped in this salon for my refill. The woman who helped me was not very nice and frequently paused to check her phone even texting back a couple of times. The nails are very wonky looking and I asked for matte and they just look dirty. Only parts of them look as if she put the matte coat on the nails. One of her chemicals made my pinky start burning and I let her know (because this happens, I understand and they normally have a coolant of some sort) but she told me it was a rash and kept going. I am so glad I didn't see these reviews. I had previously been here for eyebrow waxing and never had any problems. My first pedicure here is beautiful. My friend and I did the deluxe and it was only $35 each! Although they were busy, they didn't rush through our pedis. The lady with short hair did mine, and a guy did my friends. We had stopped by NT cause I had picked that place based on the reviews, but they only had 2 workers and were booked til 6 pm. All the workers seem friendly, they would engage in coversation, but it was hard to understand. I'm not much of a talker so it didn't bug me. I gave 4 stars cause of the wait, but it seems like making an appt. could be my solution. I just didn't think Wednesday during the day would be a big "nail" day. read more

Got several things to say about this place. Let me first start off by saying, there's an Elegant Nails in Huntsville that my boyfriend and I love to go to. Great staff, great service. Just moved to Conroe and when we saw there was an Elegant Nails down here, we were excited to go. We went in the morning for two pedicures, the lady who greeted us was nice and showed us where to sit, where I can pick out colors for acrylics, etc. We went to sit down for our pedicures and the man who was doing my feet was also nice. Everything was okay until the lady who came to work on my boyfriend's feet came over after working on another customer feet. Now my boyfriend does not have the prettiest feet in the world, anyone who sees his toes can agree, including him. We both thought her facial expression to his feet was funny at first, but she started snickering and talking to the man that was working on my feet. Again, didn't really mind this, just thought it was a little unprofessional. Now the customer who she was previously working on, went to sit under a light for her nails to dry. The lady is 5 mins into working on my boyfriend's feet, already scrubbing and working underneath his nails, when all of a sudden she turns around and starts checking on the prev. customer's feet wearing the SAME GLOVES. All 3 of us customers peeped this and exchanged looks. After she was done with checking on the prev. customers feet, she came back to my boyfriend's feet wearing the SAME gloves. It can't be just us that understand this is how foot fungus spread... I'm grossed out but just make a mental note. Not one to cause a scene. My pedicure is just about finished when the man gets up, takes his cart and walks away. At this point I'm confused cause I asked for acrylic and shellac as well and nothing else was being done with my feet. Including the exfoliation of the legs which my boyfriend was getting even though we both got the same package. The longer I sit, the more irritate I'm getting because he didn't explain if he was coming back or if someone else was just gonna finish the job...just got up and left. It was 10:00 when we got there, it's now about to be 12:00 and I got work at 12:30, I was prepared to just pay for the half assed pedicure and leave. The lady who greeted me at the front noticed I was upset and about to leave and offered to finish the job for me. I really appreciated it and she finished putting on new acrylic and shellac in less than 10 mins. Was very grateful for that. When we got home, my boyfriend was complaining on how bad his feet hurt. At closer look at his toenails, the lady that was doing his toes cut him about 3 times on 3 different toes! I usually don't write reviews like this, but I've never experience such rude customer service and lack of awareness. The lady with the medium bob hairdo in the front, in case you are reading this, you were great and I appreciate you for trying to resolve the problem. Just please let it be known NOT TO USE THE SAME GLOVES ON DIFFERENT PAIRS OF FEET AND LEARN HOW TO USE YOUR INSTRUMENTS WITH CARE! Will definitely be finding a different nail salon. Please save your money and possible nail health and don't go here! The man who runs it initially seemed to get upset because I only wanted a basic manicure and not a pricier deluxe manicure. He cut the sides of two of my fingers because he was too rough when removing my cuticles. I asked him to be more careful because he had made two of my fingers bleed! He acted as if nothing happened! Seriously listen to these reviews, this is one of the worst nails shops I have been to. They Didn't listen to anything I asked for, now my nails look worse than when I went in and it cost me $30!!! I have got my nails done for over 10 years and I know exactly how to tell them how I like them but he didn't care and did as he pleased, I told him that I hated them and he still charged me full price. Horrible service! I stopped going here a while back because the place was going down hill but yesterday I was in need of my eye brows waxed and It was close so I stopped here to get it done. I had to wait for a while and watched several other people leave because the wait was so long but the wait didn't bother me I seen they had customers and didn't mind waiting. The lady finally asked what I needed and I said my eye brows so she assisted me into the waxing room. When she got in there she put wax on my brows while talking on the phone and ripped off the wax but didn't bother to shape or pluck them she just said "ok done" and that was that. She rushed so much it was like I was a big inconvenience for her. She charged me full price for a half a** job!! While I was paying she chased a lady out in the parking lot because the lady got her nails done with a card that said if you get 11 stamps (visits) you get the 12th free so the lady left a tip but the nail tech insisted she stil owed 15 dollars and said that it isn't a free it's only 12 dollars off when the card specifically said free! This is a horrible place don't waist your money here go to bamboo nails in Conroe for a much better service! read more
