Dave looked at our plans, was very knowledgeable about our roof needs(it seemed like a complicated project, in my opinion) and told us he would provide us with a quote within 2 weeks, which we felt was very reasonable. Although we did not end up using Unlimited Remodeling for our project, I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a GC who's honest, reliable, very knowledgeable and professional. I say this because my husband and I met with 7 different contractors for this job. SEVEN. Out of those 7, only 3 provided us with the quote they had promised. Unlimited Remodeling is a 5 star company.

However, communication, organization, and timeliness was an issue. The project took twice as long as quoted (over 4 months instead of 2 months), and it was like pulling teeth to get them to start & finish it. Some weeks, they wouldn't come out at all or only for a day or two per week. At one point, they walked off the job for several weeks because they had other projects to get started on. There were also times where if I hadn't pushed hard to get materials ordered, it would have taken longer, and also times that the ball was dropped on ordering materials, so I didn't end up getting the preferred materials due to lead times. It was pretty frustrating, and sadly, I don't think I would hire them again.

We began demolition of our kitchen on August 1 and then learned that our contractor would not be…read moreable to continue with our project. I called five contractors to come out and give me a quote. I don't know if they saw a woman and figured ignorance(stupidity) or if they didn't want to do the job, but the cheapest quote I received was almost $11k which I KNEW was way overpriced. My neighbor across the street had some work done at her home and knowing how meticulous she is about her house, I asked her how Travis and his crew did and she had nothing but praise (particularly for the painter, Ernesto). So I gave him a call and he came out and quoted me $4900 which was more in line with what we needed to have done. We contracted with him immediately and he got to work the next day. As it turned out, we needed to have more work done as we learned that several floor joists were bad, there was termite damage, etc. (I mean, what construction project doesn't have unexpected issues, right?) He kept us informed and his crew cleaned up every night. And his painter, Ernesto? OMG! THE BEST!!!!!!! He is a magician with a paint brush. He takes his time and I've never seen a better job. At the very end of my project, my stepfather had a stroke and was hospitalized and my mother asked me about gutting the bathroom and putting in a wet floor with a shower only--gutting the bathtub. I called Travis out and we asked about the timeline knowing that it would be a rush job and if he could get it done. He said yes and we got started. My mom, being 82 years old, had a lot of trepidation and I let him know about her concerns. I explained that he would need to be "gentle" with her and he and his crew have done an excellent job in keeping her informed and in being "gentle" with her and she couldn't be more pleased. Gonna have him put in a wheelchair ramp and handrails to the front door next. Thanks, Travis and crew x 2!!!!!

You are guaranteed three things if you choose to work with Eddie and his crew:…read more1.) work done right, the first time 2.) work done on budget 3.) great communication throughout the process Eddie and his crew did a phenomenal job with our backyard remodel. They worked with us to create a design we loved and a budget we could work with. Eddie and his crew will not be the cheapest quote you get, but you get exactly what you pay for and more. At every step, his crew was professional and did quality, efficient work. As with any plan, it never survives contact with reality- as the crew began implementation, if there was something that didn't look right or they thought would be better a different way, they sought our input to make changes. Something unique about Eddie is that he doesn't sub-contract. All the guys that work for him, work for him, giving them complete control over the quality of the work, and it's evident in the final product. About the project: we had a pretty busted backyard, including a cracked up patio, drainage that always flowed toward the house, trees that had taken over due to years of neglect by previous homeowners, dirt instead of grass, super inefficient sprinklers, etc. It wasn't usable unless you liked dirt and over-paying for water. Eddie and his crew designed plans that could be broken into phases to fit our budget needs and then once we agreed on the plan and the budget, Eddie and his crew transformed the space in 4 weeks, exactly as promised in the timeline, the plan, and the budget. They did everything from start to finish- demo and tree removal, grading and drainage, efficient irrigation, paver patios, edging and decorative rock, pre ran electric and low voltage transformer, and finally sod and mulch. Never did they try to nickle and dime us, increase the budget, etc. They exceeded expectations and delivered a final product we love and have been enjoying for a few weeks now. I highly recommend Eddie and his crew. You won't be disappointed!

First impression Matters. Process Matters. Follow-through Matter. Promise Kept Matters…read more First impression matters because from the first phone call, I did not quite know what I wanted. I had a laundry list of things that I had in mind that included painting of the house, remodeling the bathroom, redo the cabinet to accommodate a built in coffee maker, and a slew of other items that I wanted done. All of these needed to be done within a two week short timeframe. This seemed like an impossible task during that phone call. I spoke with Karen and she was able to capture all that information in about a two minute conversation. We scheduled a consultation with Kevin and about two minutes later she was able to recap that information on a calendar invite. It was a very clear and concise list of things that I needed to get done. Later, I was incredibly impressed with Kevin during my consultation. He did not try to upsell me any product. He was very transparent, upfront, clear and realistic with what can be done and what cannot be done. I was very concerned that the project could not be done within the two weeks. After I explain to him why I needed the short time period for the project to be done. He was compassionate enough to move some of his projects to prioritize my project. His team was on time every day and worked on my project nonstop every single day. Unlike prior contractors that I had worked with who came and worked a couple hours each day, Kevin's team was here every single day of the week, working a full day each day, They cleaned up after themselves every day and they were respectful and professional. Kevin was very responsive and was in contact with me every day. He answered all my questions and followed up with me on all my concerns. It took a complete two weeks, but Kevin and his team completed our project as promised. We are extremely happy with Venguard Construction, their personnel, and our finished product. In today's high paced world, it is refreshing to come across a company who truly puts the customers first. We recommend Venguard Construction and Kevin.

Well what can I say about this man, David owner of South Shore)? He takes unethical advantage of…read morethe insurance company having homeowners do unnecessary work! Firstly he comes and he's all talk - he'll do this, he'll do that, everything is no problem. His quote will be slightly lower than most BUT once you signed the contract with him, you signed your life away (until he's done!). He takes his time and he never wants to use any of your original appliances asking you to buy new ones (maybe he's getting commission, I don't know). He DEFINITELY will only the do minimum and will never advise you about the fixing of your home. Later he'll tell you "oh it's not in the contract etc etc unlike when he first came in) he'll have a thousand reasons and if you argue with him, he'll yell at you and slam down your phone. He is terrible to work with unless EVERYTHING he suggests and you're rich enough to "ok" go along with him. I have things missing after and when I notify him instead of investigating, right away it's not his men! It's little stuff but still you'll think he'll want to know about it. #1 his men were the only people who have the key code to the house (I was living outside the house) #2 I had a subsequent leak from his plumber's work (Archer Plumbing, owner Robert but goes by Bob) David, and Bob came to fix it but David refused to fixed my kitchen ceiling and claimed it has nothing to do with the leak from upstairs (master bedroom sink, which is directly above it) The one star I gave is for his wife who is the sweetest woman one can ever meet. She has empathy, kindness and compassion for people. Many times she had to calm him down while we were talking.
