We began demolition of our kitchen on August 1 and then learned that our contractor would not be able to continue with our project. I called five contractors to come out and give me a quote. I don't know if they saw a woman and figured ignorance(stupidity) or if they didn't want to do the job, but the cheapest quote I received was almost $11k which I KNEW was way overpriced. My neighbor across the street had some work done at her home and knowing how meticulous she is about her house, I asked her how Travis and his crew did and she had nothing but praise (particularly for the painter, Ernesto). So I gave him a call and he came out and quoted me $4900 which was more in line with what we needed to have done. We contracted with him immediately and he got to work the next day. As it turned out, we needed to have more work done as we learned that several floor joists were bad, there was termite damage, etc. (I mean, what construction project doesn't have unexpected issues, right?) He kept us informed and his crew cleaned up every night. And his painter, Ernesto? OMG! THE BEST!!!!!!! He is a magician with a paint brush. He takes his time and I've never seen a better job. At the very end of my project, my stepfather had a stroke and was hospitalized and my mother asked me about gutting the bathroom and putting in a wet floor with a shower only--gutting the bathtub. I called Travis out and we asked about the timeline knowing that it would be a rush job and if he could get it done. He said yes and we got started. My mom, being 82 years old, had a lot of trepidation and I let him know about her concerns. I explained that he would need to be "gentle" with her and he and his crew have done an excellent job in keeping her informed and in being "gentle" with her and she couldn't be more pleased. Let me start off with that they do good work... Let me follow up with their near no respect for people in the early am hours! For the past week I have had the pleasure of Mark Andrews, Victor, & Demitrio waking me up, my roommate and I'm SURE countless other neighbors with their plaster/stucco work done with a extremely loud drill. I personally talked to Mark and he is fully aware of these jobs. Thx buddy :-( Thank you Andrews Construction for not giving a crap to people during these trying times. Travis came out for an initial quote to make a built-in for our house the mount the Tv to and help us manage the wires situation. The quote was given to me almost 8-10 months ago. After several quotes and contractors we decided to go with Travis. The day we decided to move forward he gave us the first day of the job (2 days later), showed up ok time, the house and debris were cleaned up thoroughly every night and it was completed in about 10 working days (with multiple layers of painting done). I have read the other reviews and it sounds like people should've been a little more careful paying out prior to completion of the jobs. However, even on minor things needed to be completed such as coming to install the hardware and rerouting a few wires Travis came or send his workers in a timely fashion. For me he was reliable and did an excellent job. All I have to say is the past is the past - most of those negative reviews are also not current. I'd consider Travis for an addition work in the future for our house. Just look at the pictures ...worth 1000 words. Good luck and I hope your experience is as good as ours with Travis. read more

I was apprehensive about our remodel because we have had several bad experiences with various construction companies. Thankfully, from the day Travis and his team showed up, it's been a different story. They are professional, down to earth trustworthy AND do extraordinary work. They did pretty much everything and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Siding, window and door instillation, paint, skylights; Ernesto painted our interior/exterior house and brand new door and it was the best job I have ever seen. Addendum: Only due to fact you did give us back deposit, although delayed as well, I have removed parts of my review. Travis, I have no idea what is happening to you, but your lack of communication appears to have substantially changed, and after reading some of these other recent reviews, I feel obligated to post a review of my own. I was also unaware of the citations against your license. The other yelper is correct that there are some disturbing things apparent on the California contractors licensing site. I cannot recommend anyone work with you on remodeling project. You spent time reviewing our project and gave a bid, just like the other yelper. Than, you disappeared. You would not respond to any text, voicemail, email, or even facebook. You explained to me that you were camping for a week. Okay. I accepted that. You told me you would send a updated bid 2 days later. I followed up by text and my wife by phone call, and then another full week went by with no response from you of any kind. You than simply said you were busy with family. You actually caused financial and time loss to our family, and even caused Jen substantial distress. You essentially ruined our enjoyment of moving in to a new home. I even had to request my $1000 deposit back and end the entire project. It also appears that you have collected money from others, which I hope you intend to return. I do not know if this horrid communication is because you are operating the other business in Huntington Beach doing custom doors? You explained to me that you were a 3rd or 4th generation contractor, so this is disheartening what has happened to your business. Honestly, I should have wrote this review sooner because of your non-existent apology and considering we really connected with you and considered you a friend. read more

I found these guys by accident. I contacted Steve Houston on craigslist and when i went to check him out, it lead me to Scott and Travis who said that he had been defrauding people using their name...that's what happened with the first reviewer. ALWAYS CHECK OUT YOUR CONTRACTORS Scott and Travis have been great to work with on my whole house rennovation. Extremely fair on all of their pricing, they stick to the schedule and the payment schedule. Everything is done right, no corners have been cut...in fact they have done several things without chrging me extra simply because it's easy enough to do now...why not just do it. I will be hiring these guys for more work. read more

We have used Travis and his team several times. We had some outside work done on the patio. We had a new side gate, privacy fence and pool equipment fence built. Travis helped baby proof our house by securing dressers, bookshelves and mounting TVs on the wall including re-wiring electrical sockets so no TV cords are within toddler reach. My husband and I were super excited to begin our bathroom remodel; we had saved for a while and were looking forward to seeing our hard earned money pay off! We went with Andrews Construction because Travis came out twice and gave us a quote quickly and responded to our questions and concerns with ease. Unfortunately, that is where his transparency ended. They sub-contracted out our bathroom remodel to a person who has now told us 3 times he would show up at a certain time and then NEVER show up. Our house, backyard, and garage have been left an absolute mess for 5 days with no one showing up to work. The work is not even halfway done and Travis is nowhere to be found. This is our only bathroom with a tub/shower so we have now gone 12 days with having to shower somewhere else. They have also left our toilet unmounted so we have to go downstairs to use the bathroom during the night with our two little boys (3 and 5 years old). After consistent texts, emails and phone calls we finally got someone to come and mount the toilet and sloppily finish the shower. Yet, once again no one showed up and the sub-contractor is complaining to us that he is not getting paid and that he only knows how to tile and not do any of the other work that is needed to be done. Now we are noticing leaks into our downstairs bathroom from the plumbing they put in for the tub. This has been a complete nightmare. I am so disappointed with the integrity of this company and the ethical values that they are portraying. At least if the people you sub-contracted a job to isn't getting the job done, step up and do the job yourself. Also, please check out their contracting license because they have many pending complaints, which I wish we would have done before trying to do business with them. read more

Do Not Use Andrews Construction. I found him on Yelp and was deceived by the good reviews. I was doing a bathroom remodel which required moving walls and installing doors, so I intended to use Andrews Construction for most of the work. After part of the framing was done (not everything that was included in the quote) and he was paid, he never showed up to the job site again nor did he answer any of my calls or texts. Of the work that he did do, I ended up having to fix most of it. Here are some things I had to fix: support beam was held in place with screws instead of proper bracketing, no doors were the proper width, pocket door framing had to be redone because the opening was 6 inches too low (for both doors), did not provide anchor supports for glass shower doors, all of his cuts were short leaving gaps in all the framing and used scrap wood instead of buying new which made everything look bad and nail ends were sticking out all over. He also would leave a mess in the house; leaving me to haul away his building materials. To make things worse, when removing a beam, he put TWO LARGE HOLES in my roof which caused my upstairs and downstairs bathrooms to FLOOD resulting in hundreds of dollars in damage. Once again, I called him repeatably to come fix it, but no response. The other contractors working on the job confirmed his poor craftsmanship and skill level. I highly recommend never using Andrews Construction, as it was the worse experience I have had with a contractor. We happen to see the Andrews Construction box truck pass by and we were in need of some electrical work at our home. Consultation was quick and easy and most importantly thorough. They arrived when they said they would and when they left for the day it looked as clean as when they got there. Andrews Construction just completed my back patio remodel. It is BEAUTIFUL! We had no idea what we wanted and he came up with the perfect idea. He put in a bar/bbq area that is amazing with electrical for the blender a cooler built right in to the top of the bar and a place where Frank can put his bbq skills to work while he parties with our family and friends. The patio cover is much higher than standard with crown molding and lights built in so it shines up. He knows we like to entertain so on the posts he made them have a tall box/table around them so people can set their drinks down while they visit. He even put lights under the boxes so it shines onto the ground. Top that off with recessed lighting as well as fan and light above the dining table. It really feels like a new room added to our home. So beautiful!! Definitely surpassed our expectations. Thanks so much Travis!!! Let's get this party started!! read more
