Robert's attention to detail and dedication to his craft were truly exceptional. He installed my Universal Tesla Wall Connector in my private garage the very next day--within just 13 hours of our initial discussion! His expertise shone through as he meticulously verified the amperage of my main breaker in my Condo's electrical room. He explained each step he took, potential issues he identified, and considerations for future electrical needs, ensuring I was fully informed and confident in the process. Robert's professionalism stood out as he clearly explained the pros and cons of the project and what I was requesting. He even noticed some cables that weren't completely screwed down and some that were just sitting in the box, which was crucial to be aware of. He tightened them without any issue and rearranged my sub panel breakers so the breakers for my charger would fit perfectly. The installation was flawless, with all the cables neatly organized and the charger securely mounted. The overall experience was incredibly pleasant, and Robert's attention to detail extended to the patching of the hole in the side panel, which came out clean and neat. Without a doubt, I'll be reaching out to Electric Chen / Robert for any future electrical projects. Highly recommended! read more

We've been wanting to replace the ugly fluorescent lights in our kitchen with recessed lighting. A friend recommended Electric Chen (his name is actually Robert) to us and we were really satisfied with his work. Prior to our appointment, Robert called us to understand our requirements and gave us an estimate. Robert used large plastic covers to cover all of our kitchen counters and appliances and placed rugs to protect our kitchen floor. After measuring our ceiling and locating the studs, Robert confirmed the placements of the new lights with us and informed us about where he was going to drill before actually starting. Robert was able to get the job done in less than 3 hours and even helped us patch up some of the existing holes on the ceiling so it'll be easier to paint. He also helped to clean up the kitchen at the end. Our kitchen looks amazing after the recess light replacement. We are especially happy about Robert's selection of recess light kit since it's adjustable between different color temperatures. read more

I highly recommend Robert for any electrical work you need. He is professional, dependable, and his rate is reasonable. Here are the detail of what happened: On 7/3 (Thu) afternoon around 3:30PM, my tenant at a duplex called to tell me half of the house lost power. It turns out one of the "hot" wire on my weatherhead is broken and PG&E has to cut it off. Robert gave me a very reasonable quote after seeing some pictures and discussed what needed to be done. However, we have to wait for PG&E to cut the other "hot" wire before work can start. 5:30AM on 7/4 (Fri), I got a call from the tenant that PG&E just came by and cut the other "hot" wire. Robert came by and complete the job by 1PM. He didn't even charge me overtime for working during holiday. Thanks for Robert's quick response, my tenants got their power back within the least amount of time. read more

Robert's team ran a dedicated line from the subpanel to my above range microwave and fixed my sparking triple light switch junction for the low end of his estimate in less than a day. Before he came to the job, he asked many job clarification questions and asked for photos and videos of the work areas so he could have a good understanding of my needs and come out prepared and able to stay on estimate. My initial contact with Electric Chen was I believe on Wednesday. I got his questions answered Thursday got the quote Thursday. Told him I would let him know on Friday after getting a quote from another electrical company.
