Most places I inquired had prices that seemed a bit high, or did not have blanks to reproduce the fob. I know electronic key fobs can be expensive, but some places quoted me $275-$350. Then I remembered The Main Lock Shop in Hackensack, that I frequented when I worked in an automotive shop nearby, many many years ago. I was greeted pleasantly by the 2 gentleman behind the counter, told them that I needed a replacement key fob. He asked me for the one that didn't work and promptly when to another room and found a match. Within another 10 minutes he cut the key, programmed it, & came outside to my car to make sure all the features worked. Outstanding Customer Service!!! Best of all, I only paid $178 dollars, a fantastic deal in my mind. I will surely be back for all my car and house key needs in the future.

The remote worked fine when I was at the shop but it didn't work once I got at home and they attempted to use it just as a back up key because it wouldn't open the doors and lock the doors . I went back, and I saw the person the program the key and I explained to him it wasn't working properly, and he immediately asked me how long ago I had the key fob programmed. Being as I had a bright blue Volkswagen Jetta, that is an overly a common vehicle I expected him to remember me as it was only three weeks ago and the representative took his programming unit.
