Jannette is the best ask for her section she'll take care of the whole party she is great she makes our brunch experience worth while

We came with a party of 7 on a Sunday! It was such a great time. We had Victor P as our server and he was incredible! He definitely needs a raise for the work he puts in because we weren't the only table he was attending. If you ever come here I recommend him! As for the food, it was amazing and I would definitely recommend the beef birria with the potatoes. read more

We forgot it was Taco Tuesday, but were seated rather quickly. I decided to try the chicken tacos sans onions and cilantro, but requested a little cheese. They also came rather quickly. I took a bite and within a few seconds my mouth and lips started to burn. I could not eat these. I told the waiter, Juan Madrigal and he said they would fix me some without adobo sauce. They did and they were fine. Juan saved this meal for me. He was very attentive and wanted to make sure I had food I could eat. The only negative at this restaurant was the Ladies Room. It was a mess. Used towels everywhere, and trash cans stuffed. The toilet seat was also extremely loose and the flush threw water out to the floor (first stall). read more

I had a really great time with friends here, the food is really tasty especially for the price and our server Destiny really took care of us for brunch. We were in an extra goofy mood and she was just as goofy with us and made sure our drinks were full. I would come again with my boyfriend and definitely recommend this place and ask for Destiny's section! read more

Maryam and Branden were so great! They made me want to come back next weekend. Branden was so great to talk to and maryan kept filling up my mimosas. They were perfect. I'm definitely coming back. It was a perfect experience! read more

Our visit to El Torito was phenomenal starting with the manager at the desk... The food and special cocktails were out of this world. We had tacos and the tortilla was lightly baised in a sauce that was flavorful and tasty. Our waiter Victor was excellent and we will return again to El Torito in Riverside to enjoy the ambience, cool atmosphere and the phenomenal dishes!! read more

great saturday breakfast & service by victor perez. highly recommend Saturday brunch served by victor perez.

El Torito is so yummy! I love their happy hour deals which are every day 3pm to close! The chips & salsa are to die for. The patio seating is very enjoyable, especially on a Summer night like tonight! On top of that- Bertha our waitress was absolutely wonderful! Such a sweet heart & also provided amazing service. My mom, friend, & I were very pleased with her attentive & fast service.. will definitely request her our next time in! Highly recommend this restaurant! Great food, great service, great times! read more

Hands down this restaurant and location is the best for authentic Mexican cuisine. The staff is attentive, friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable. I love coming for the excellent taco Tuesday special where you'll even be amazed with the fresh tortillas and fish tacos. Sunday's brunch has a wide variety of delicious foods, is great for kids, as well has live mariachi to fill the room with music while you eat and drink your unlimited mimosas. Throughout the week their happy hour at the bar has great deals and my personal favorite is the Mexican style hot wings paired with a schooner of Dos Equis Amber. Always fun to come with friends and family. read more

Just had Sunday Brunch at El Torito in the Riverside Plaza with my family. Being COVID conscious, I was so pleased that El Torito was following safeguard procedures too. I mostly want to give a shoutout to a great waitress, Cynthia. She was so attentive even with a lot of tables to service. She was also so happy and friendly, making it a really fun breakfast for my family. Victor also was very attentive and friendly and added to the positive atmosphere. They made sure we were comfortable and our glasses filled. Keep up the good work!! Will come back for sure. read more

Cynthia & Victor gave us the best service! Our glasses were never empty! The outdoor patio was spaced safely to allow for COVID protocol. Each food station was stationed with a server behind a plexi glass. I felt safe the whole time. Would definitely come back again! read more

Just recently had brunch at El Torito in Riverside Plaza. As always, the food was good, restaurant was clean, location is great. What made this experience extra nice this time around was the great service from Myriam. She was very friendly and very attentive. Thank you Hugo, GM, for always taking care of us! read more

My husband and I make the El Torito in Riverside Plaza our weekly date night place. Our server Vincente spots us the minute we walk in and by the time we are seated our drinks are waiting for us. The manager Cesar stops by and welcomes us back. We enjoy the entire staff. read more

Had the opportunity to do late dinner with family. We were greeted by the manager Andy who is always friendly and personable which is always a plus! The 1star is because out server was the worst! I watched her be nice and personable with other patrons but not with my table. The food was not the best. Not sure if the the poor service and bad food was because it near closing but I've definitely had better service and better food! Sad is what I felt! read more

My husband and I just moved to the area and had to spend Easter unpacking boxes. Took a break and wound up here. We had the best server "pancake" aka Juan M. He was sensational. He surprised us with a shot of casa amigos (ironic cause we just moved here). We will be going back because of this guy and the service he gives and the food was so good as well. read more

Service here was great and the food was exceptional. The live mariachi added a nice touch as well. The manager Hugo was very friendly and welcoming to guests. Will definitely be back for brunch! read more

I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very surprised at the taste and quality of the food! Excellent restaurant and I had an AMAZING server. Her name was Chantal and she was on target - she was very knowledgeable about the menu, had great suggestions and her service was great. She made us feel like we were the only ones in her section. I even spoke to the manager to make sure he knew what an asset she is to his restaurant. read more

Victor P was an excellent .. so attentive friendly and kept our mimosas full

Worst customer service I've ever received. From the start, I could tell the employees/waitresses looked overwhelmed. The hostess in the front was not helping make this situation better but rather talking and doing nothing. I see empty dirty tables for 15-20 minutes empty with no one sitting in them. Even if your duty as an employee is not to clean tables but you see the amount of help that is needed, why not simply clean the table off prior to walking a customer to their seating area?? The manager was and is very unprofessional. Employees would not look and seem overwhelmed if she had everything under control. I spoke with a waitress asking her for information regarding the current situation and how this place was in general with the employees. She gave me some interesting facts. When employees ask for time off, most are never given that time off even when requested 3-4 weeks ahead of time. Employees are asked to work 12 hour shifts followed by being asked to come in the next day at 7am. I was jaw dropped! This is ABUSE!!! This company and "restaurant" DOES NOT care for the employees or their health but simply the money coming in. They push their employees to work a tremendous amount of hours while not respecting their simple requests of having days off due to a family function or event. It is unprofessional and not a proper way to run a restaurant or business!!! I will be giving and notifying others about the abuse and mistreatment this restaurant, managers, and company gives its employees and expect me to never return to any restaurant affiliated with this company or business. I will stay in contact with the employees and continue to verify if the abuse and unprofessionalism continues. I hope something is done immediately to correct this situation. read more

I've always really liked this El Torito and tonight was no different. Our waiter was wonderful and so incredible kind. The food was fantastic, as always. The fried ice cream is my absolute favorite. My only complaint was my $10 spicy mango margarita was just juice. There was zero alcohol. I've had great margaritas there in the past but this was a $10 juice drink. Rather than waste money on another margarita, i got an iced tea. Not sure what happened there. read more

Happy Hour before the movies was a blast! Thank you Kuko for being a great server bartender ! Food was great! Spicy salsa

Love the happy hour menu! Pomegranate margarita on the rock is my fav!! Bertha Alicia was my waitress and she was quick and efficient!

I went back and fourth on posting this review. My family and I went to birthday dinner on Wednesday Aug 10th. We made a reservation and understood that sometimes tables aren't ready. 20 minutes later we sat down. We are not people to complain and are very patient. We ordered drinks first and everyone received their drinks except for myself. About 20 minutes later we politely asked the server for an update on the drink. Sage to say he forgot to put it in. He came back and said they had to make "fresh" watermelon juice. I know it was an excuse but I didn't mind. We placed our order and again everyone received their food except me. I assumed he had so many plates and just had to run back. 10 minutes went by and he came back and said I looked over the order and you didn't place anything.... I did I ordered a burrito no onion. Once I said no onion he's like oh yea I remember. At this time I asked if I could get another apple juice for my son. He said he's be right back. Came back with a burrito that I assumed was just made quick and not really what I ordered. Again I didn't mind. We had all finished our food and I just refilled my sons cup with water I brought because he never brought an apple juice. Fast forward to the bill and he came with the bill and a plate of flan and just placed it and said here for the birthday. That was my breaking point because all around us ever other birthday was sung or even had a candle something you know. I felt like he was annoyed with our table yet we didn't do anything to him. read more

Just gross. Came in to the hostess cleaning baby seats with same rag they were cleaning the host area and menus with. Almost walked out right then but gave it a chance. Had people come in after us seated first, slow service. Will definitely not be back. Worst el Torito I've ever been to. read more
