Went for breakfast on a Friday morning. Was busy but was seated quickly. Went with a staple at Brandon's, pancakes with eggs and bacon. It did not disappoint. Love the country potato's and Krispy bacon. For being so busy, staff was super friendly, fast and attentive. read more

Friday morning, just before the dentist and I want to treat myself to breakfast. I chose the wrong place! The location is small and they don't have room to work. Don't sit at the bar because the counter is being used for the wait staff and you'll just feel like you're in their way. I don't think they could make healthy food if they tried I kind of felt like Gordon Ramsay were as soon as the plate hit the table. I wanted to say take it back. It's slop! Way too much sauce on top It's not gravy I'm actually trying to lose weight. There is nothing appetizing about this and then when I got a side of fruit it tasted like something that's been sitting for a month so clearly no one comes here to order fruit. You know, if you just wanna eat fattening food like pancakes and crêpes this might be your spot I saw a picture of avocado toast with micro greens. I walked in and kind of said I want this. He asked to cook. They said no that's at the Brandon's on Indiana. So there's no consistency from one location to another. My husband is a pescatarian and pretty much eats healthy so he would never come here. I thought this would be a nice change of pace. I was wrong. Everyone that works there was friendly enough It just wasn't what I was hoping for read more

So the menudo from the Indiana location is no longer flavorful. My dad tried this location magnolia. It's still the same, flavorless recipe. Also, the hasbrowns are undercooked. No satisfied with the food for either location. read more

I feel bad for the owner, but at the same time they're responsible for hiring women with horrible attitudes. The woman in the blue shirt was the only nice one with any sort of customer service skills. I was never greeted and three ladies up front by the register didn't bother taking my name for the waitlist. But they were able to watch me write my own name on their clipboard so their eyes work fine at least. Customer service goes a long way, too bad this place doesn't have it. read more

The food was horrible. It was cold, hard, stale. It was a cinnamon toast but it was horrible chicken fried steak. I don't know what it was. It didn't even taste like meat. Potatoes. No seasoning, no taste. Used to be real good there. I don't know what happened. Guess we got them on a bad day or our cook was pissed off or something. I won't be back. read more

Brandon's did not bring it. I had the breakfast burrito with carne asada and it was so bland, it was actually hard to eat. They gave me salsa and hot sauce, but that was basically all I tasted. Service's was the only good thing about this place. Our server was timely, accommodating, sweet and super friendly. The place was cute, clean, and easy to find. I just wish the food was better. read more

This is my second time at Brandon's diner. They greeted us upon arrival. Sat us quickly and our food came out pretty quick, however, it was a thursday morning. Last time I went on a saturday morning and we had about a 20 min wait. I ordered the Crunchy French Toast combo. Crunchy French toast was pleasantly crunchy & crispy served with berries and dollops of whip cream! The eggs and hash browns were pretty standard. My sister got a bowl of oatmeal which was the biggest bowl of oatmeal I have ever seen. The only thing is they didnt offer smaller sizes. Idk anyone who eats that much oatmeal in one sitting ( i could be wrong, everyone has there own opinions). I think they should offer multiple sizes since they dont offer a childrens menu. Good place to eat on an early sunday morning. read more

The New one on Magnolia is the Best. The servers are really friendly. The food is good and served hot. Fresh pot of coffee made even if for just one person. Prices are a bit high but that's at all of the Brandon's diners. It's very clean and relaxing inside. Booths are very roomy for us larger folks. read more

I was at this location over the weekend with my family, food was ok. Atmosphere, environment, and service was terrible! Server is not there to work and take care of her customers, got to hear the gossip how server Camila likes to mess around with the married cooks. So unprofessional, this location needs better management maybe it'll help so the servers take better care of their customers instead of being entertained with the cook and not having my food just sitting there. If you want to be sitting there waiting for your food while Camila is just there flirting with the cooks then go to this location, but I won't be going back it was a bad atmosphere to be there with my family. read more

Nice spot to grab a bite to eat in the morning. When we got inside around 8:30am it was not too busy. It's a casual, sit where you want, kinda place - plenty of seating. The drink order was promptly taken and shortly thereafter the food order. I felt the time between ordering and the food being brought to the table was a bit long but maybe they were also filling to go orders? California Burrito- my friend enjoyed this meal, she ate it with the spicy salsa. The waitress was very kind to also bring out their other two salsas (red and green) for her to try. Huevos Rancheros - potatoes were perfection - love the crispy ends and the bits of small green pepper. Beans were bland but not bad, cheese helped! The actual eggs worth the green sauce was just meh. The eggs were more on the running side (asked for over medium) and the pork chunks were more white/gray than pink...they looked old and tasted old. Salsa and the green sauce helped a lot but they could have been better. read more

I ordered the Chile rellano with rice and beans and was pretty disappointed. The Chile inside was under cooked and I had to saw on it with a knife. The outer coating was soggy. The rice and beans sucked. They need to get some lessons on cooking IMO. The service was good but food was horrible read more

I love Brandon's diner I usually go to one off Indiana decided to try this location today . Bad idea . Went on my lunch break (1 hour) . My coworker and I were sat quickly however the waitress did not come to take our order after 15m so we decided to get the tacos to go . Placed our order went to get churros came back to pick up our order and they forgot it . No apology, we had to wait another 20 minutes for tacos and charged my coworker $1.03 for picodegallo . Not even an apology. We spent our whole hour lunch break to pick up tacos . The customer service was awful . We won't be going back . I'll stick to the Indiana location . read more

We had a late breakfast which was delicious. Service from Charlie was beyond excellent. Time from order to serving of food was good.

First time I came here with my family we all loved it, so we came back today and everything was good except my hashbrowns were way too burnt, I didn't ask for them well done, I didn't want to complain and send them back so I just ate them, I didn't enjoy them tho. read more

The menu could be changed, so it's not deceiving. I ordered a roast beef sandwich, and the menu shows it comes with mashed potatoes and gravy. On the side of the page, there's a section which says all sandwiches come with one of the items listed below, but doesn't list mashed potatoes and gravy as an option. I assumed, as would most people, the items listed are a complimentary side dish. Below the list, it stated fried zucchini could be substituted for one of these items for an additional dollar, so I elected to do so. When it came time for the bill, I was charged an extra nine dollars, instead of one, and when I asked about it, I was told the mashed potatoes ARE the side dish, and the section on the page didn't apply. Even when I said I felt deceived, and threatened to never return because of it, they still charged me the full amount. I have never felt so infuriated in a restaurant before, and I actually cussed out the staff as I left. read more

Brandon's Diner is our go-to diner here in Riverside. The food here is made with high quality. For example, portions are enormous and can be shared. I am a big fan of country-fried steak; this place did not disappoint me. The gravy was creamy, and the steak was huge. Another reason why we love this place is the world-class service. Stopped in before a weekday meeting to get a bite, around 7ish AM. 1. Very inviting place, outside is remarkably presentable, inside is clean and comfortable, great oldies type music in the background. 2. Parking for pickup trucks is not a problem. 3. They are friendly to the point of playfulness. Like you are a regular. 4. Menu has good breakfast variety. 5. Food was plentiful and acceptable. I will recommend Brandon's and visit again when in the area. Thank you for a great experience. read more

I have been eating at "Brandon's Diner" for many years now - off and on -in Riverside. This particular location on Magnolia opened about 1 year ago. It used to be further down the street in a strip mall. This newer restaurant is much nicer, cleaner and has easier access to parking. As always, the food is very good. I almost always ordered breakfast , but decided to try the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich. It was really good. They have many desserts, including a sizable portion of chocolate cake. I have only been here during the week (Monday through Friday), so I have not experienced long waits for service as have others that posted their reviews here. The staff was super nice, offered me coffee to go. A great place to go for breakfast as always. It has a small town feel to it. read more
