I've been coming to Taco Tuesday for over a year.. have never had a disappointment. A shout out to CUCO!! Hands down... CUCO DOES THE BEST DRINKS! Great person, Excellent bartender! read more

Had to upgrade to a 4 star because I re-visited during Sunday Brunch and it was delicious!!! My girlfriend and I arrived around 10:30amish and got a table within 5 minutes... as time passed by it seemed like the place was getting packed so go around 10:30am or earlier people!!! There are basically 3 stations during Sunday brunch: savory, sweet, and THE OMELETTE STATION! The savory area had your usual variety of cooked meats, rice, beans, huevos rancheros, cheese enchiladas, and that yummy sweet corncake which I got a plethora of. The sweets included pan de dulces, waffles, fruits, pastries, and toppings. In addition, they had OJ, horchata and jamaica frescas. The OMELETTE STATION! Well I'm not sure how good it was because I didn't try it mainly due to the line and plus there was already a lot food just begging me to hurry to the table and devour. But from what I saw it look good with a variety of items to choose from and helpful staff cooking your omelettes. Oh! we also had champagne!!! Mix with OJ = MIMOSAS! Talk about gossip galore with two girls over orange infused alcohol!!!!!! The price for Sunday Brunch was $15.99 but with the champagne (bottomless) I think it cost a few bucks more. Service was better than the last time I visited as well, where we were checked on a few times and kept the champagne flowing... Other than that, happy hour is good. Otherwise, I don't think I will be back other than SB and HH. read more

It's my friend birthday on Tuesdays and she want celebrated at El Torito. I've never been to El Torito before, it's my first time here and this place get pack of people from inside and outside. The drive for ME was suck! coming from LA area to Riverside. We waited 10min to get table, but we still got people coming little late which fine. While we waiting for friends, the waiter orders our drinks and brings alot of chips and sauce. Well, the drinks here is weak and didn't have good mix in it. The Tokyo ice tea no diff from the club drinks. The Jumbo shrimp fiesta that I order, come with white wine, garlic and spicy tomato-caper sauce with rice. Actually, the foods was damn good... Shrimp with spicy tomato sauce just melt in my mouth and the rice just perfectly cook. Overall... we have great time here, services was excellent and great foods, but they just need to work on the drinks. read more

I would NOT advise anyone to go to this restaurant. Yesterday I went (01/31/14) and when they brought me the check they didn't have my debit card. After waiting 30 minutes while they looked for it, they came and told me they couldn't find it! It was literally 10 feet from our table to the cash register. I was watching the waitress laugh and joke with the other employees while they looked. No manager ever approached my table until I insisted to speak with one. His response was like, "Gee, I'm really sorry, but there's nothing we can do." I explained to him that I had no cash, and without the card I had no access to money. I told him I would have to cancel the card, and that would leave me without any money for 7-10 business days. Again, "Gee, I'm really sorry but there's nothing we can do." At a minimum, this incident was grossly negligent, at worst, it was criminal. This is a pretty well-known fraud, so of course I cancelled my card immediately. Oh yes, they assured me they would call after "looking into the matter." In fact, they said they would call at 1:30 AM when they closed and leave me a message. It's now been 24 hours and guess what??? You're right!!! NO CALL. The only thing that could make this worse is if they said they would comp me the meal (they did) and then didn't refund the charge (THEY DIDN"T!). So now I'm: Left with no means of getting money until my bank mails me a new card, and stuck paying for this BS. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. They simply don't care about customer service. One last thing: Shawna M of El Torito restaurants, let me save you the trouble of posting your inane answer that you post to every poor rating: "Hi Rachael, Thank you for your business and feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I've sent you a message requesting your contact information so that we can reach out to you. Thank you. Shawna" Shawna, I've already read the other reviews. I don't expect to hear from your "report." PS: I ONLY RATED THIS REVIEW ONE STAR BECAUSE I CAN'T POST A REVIEW WITH ZERO STARS! read more

I love this location. Best food n drinks. Myriam makes the best drinks!!! Great atmosphere!

Sooo..I've been to this place a lot. The location is great. It's at the Riverside Plaza, so after eating your group/date can go shopping at Forever 21 or go watch a movie or listen to those live bands on weekends. Every time I have come here, service has been really awesome. My favorite waiter is the guy with the heavy-ish accent, but the accent is like suave. LOL. They get our drinks and orders in quick. All the waiters refill our drinks before we even ask. The food is pretty good here. I'm not a big fan of the taquitos here. However, I do like their enchiladas and tacos. Totally come here for Sunday Brunch. Every Sunday morning they have this buffet. And at this buffet, they will make you fresh tacos and omelettes. Unlimited enchiladas and masa, and a whole bunch of other stuff. read more

I used to go here for brunch often and I hope it's still good for their sake. Family of 5 and we visited on a Tuesday afternoon. We did not get a friendly greeting, were seated in the corner (I'm guessing cause we had kids and I understand but it was very obvious we were segregated from the rest of the restaurant). I ordered endless soup and salad with a water, was there for an hour tops, never asked for a refill on my water, soup or salad. I asked and received 1 salad and had to wait 10min tip I got it. Not what it used to be read more

Came here with a huge group for brunch on a Sunday. We had Myriam as our waitress and she was great! We loved her and the rest of the staff that kept up with all our bottomless mimosas! They have mariachi on Sundays so that was a plus! Overall the attention and cleanliness was exceptional. We took our time didn't feel rushed as busy as it gets they definitely had it all under control. Food was ok but the bar and drinks were delicious! read more

It was one of my favorite spots for happy hour and taco Tuesday but today I was very disappointed by the poor management that they have specially "Laura" the manager on duty she was rude since we got there I asked to be seated and the hostess told me that it was self seating but Laura told me that I had to wait to be seated then I had some tickets to redeem for a prize and when she approached my table she said " oh this tickets are already open and she was the one that pretty much open them " and then she was complaining about my baby running, hello he wasn't the only child running around!!! I guess I'll have to start going to Applebee's they know how to treat customers! read more

It seems like ever since they started placing the calorie counts on the menus, I haven't had a good meal! I try to pick something that isn't a calorie bomb and is just comes out A-OK. I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad for a business lunch today and that was listed at 1048 calories. This was one of the lower end options on the menu! The chicken was good and so was the salad but it sure wasn't 1048 calories of good! read more

I never write reviews however, our service by Myriam was exceptional! Thank you for the best customer service we have ever received at El Torito. You made our experience unique and we will return because of Myriam. read more

I came to eat at El torito and Víctor P. was our server. He was very helpful and friendly. He just was awesome!

We went to Sunday Brunch and only waited 5 mins...our waiter was excellent. The Brunch Buffet was excellent wide variety of choices. Our waiter kept the champagne flowing and we lived the food. We will return soon live close by..! read more

Thanks Michelle for the great customer service! The new garage door is amazing! Really sets a different tone for outside seating.

All I can say about this place is...."AMAZING"!! To start things off, I decided to take my wife out on a date...just me and her...no one else..no kids...no mother in law...NOBODY!!.So we drove to Riverside Plaza...we decided to eat at El Torito... As soon as we got there, the girl at the door had a huge smile and welcomed us to the restaurant. We were seated right away in a nice private corner away from the ruckus of the cowboys game that was showing in the bar. It was really nice. I ordered the Fajitas 1800 and she ordered some sort of shrimp meal with spinach and grilled onions..i also ordered a glass of water and a coke light ice, my wife a coke... From the minuted our waiter walked up, I could tell it was going to be a great dinner. Jaime is an extremely nice guy!! I can honestly say...if I was his boss, I would of given him a raise on the spot!! Very nice guy, was on top of his game 100%!! Everything we ordered, and everything we asked for was done and brought perfectly!! The food was excellent, nice and hot, and really good flavor on everything. Now here is the kicker...what really made it perfect...I was finishing the last little bit of my soda when...BAM!! Out of nowhere...Jaime shows up with another glass of coke!! I was like wow!! Light ice and everything, just like I had asked for the first one!! I was amazed!!! Me being in the customer service industry, I know what customer service is about and how to make a customers experience really mean alot...I can say...this was by far...the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received anywhere!! Even my wife was asking me if I was ok...because I was so happy with the service we received... I gave him a $10 dollar tip! I NEVER TIP THAT MUCH!! EVER!!...but he earned it...excellent job Jaime..you made our date night...a perfect night...thank you so much.. I WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK TO EAT THERE AGAIN! FOOD....DELICIOUS. SERVICE...PERFECT BATHROOMS...EXTREMELY CLEAN. MANAGER...VERY NICE! IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 10 STARS I WOULD...JAIME...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, I TOLD THE MANAGER THAT THANKS TO YOU...I WILL BE BACK TO EAT THERE AGAIN! read more

The food here seems to bloat me and give me that "Damn, I wish I didn't eat that feeling." Considering the fact that they are part of a big chain they probably have prepared processed foods with msg and other flavor enhancers and fillers. Not really a good value at all unless you go during a special day or happy hour. The guacamole didnt taste good. So much for a mexican gourmet restaraunt... read more

YUM----my friend and I just had pedicures at the Aveda spa next door and jumped into El Torito for a cold "something" Had no idea that ALL Cadillacs were $2.00 off all day Thursday...that's a YAAAAA. Then we ordered Nachos with Shredded Chicken--thank God we ordered ONE-it was HUGE and DELICIOUS. We'll be back - next pedicure!! read more

The service by Vicnete is above and beyond other mexican restaurants I have ever been to. He cares about your Experience and the quality of of food and is type of person you know cares about you , service and experience. I have been to many restaurants and El Torito's and this is by far the best quality. The food is always excellent and if you need any thing they are willing to make sure is perfect. The drinks are made the way you want them. The servers, greeters and waiters are among the best El Toritos has to offer of any location we have ever been to in all of the L.A. Region. Ask for Vicente and you will be happy and have a great experience and top notch service and food. This is my go to mexican restaurant in Riverside and Indland Empire. read more

I love this El Torito, The food is very good. The restaurant is clean and very well run. All the servers are very nice, especially Vicente and Felix, they are absolutely terrific. We've been coming here for many years and have never been disappointed. The chicken tortilla soup is spectacular and so are the Chilequilles. The hamburger is also very good. My daughter really loves the chicken street tacos. The desserts are also great. read more

This was by far the most embarrassing place to dine at. Today we celebrated a 90th birthday and a total of over 850$ to receive multiple orders of chicken uncooked to the point it was Raw. The corn dogs ere still completely frozen. The waitress with purple hair was VERY RUDE from the start to the end. The service here was very unsatisfactory family came very far to a disappointment for dinner. Very unhappy and will not return. read more

My husband and I can up from San Diego to celebrate my parents birthday with the family and won't ever be coming here again. Tried to seat us next to a screaming kid and a greasy fingered child putting her hands on our side of the booth! Thanks anyway. The hostess was very sweet and moved us. The server got 4 out of 6 plates incorrect. Then instead of applying the $20.00 cash to our bill before charging my card, he took that money for himself as a tip! He never came back to ask how our food was we kept trying to "catch" him to get things resolved. My mom finally gave up after realizing she wasn't getting her side. Unbelievable. read more

**RE-EDIT i officially hate the new waitress at el torito shes a bit chubby and always has her hair in a bun. Service sucks 100% they dont deserve tip for sh*t , I just recently got food poisoning and I wouldnt be surprised if the waitress had something to do with this. I complained to corporate and there was nothing done about this. AVOID THIS WAITRESS!!! I ONLY go here for TACO TUESDAY. And I recommend that everyone just goes there on Tuesdays because the tacos are amazing & their only a dollar. I go there literally every Tuesday. Although the service sucks & its self seating ( a pain in the ass) I am still willing to go through all of that for the tacos. If you go on another day you're wasting your time & money. Oh yeahs by the way their happy hour dishes are pretty good & their prices are fair. On the other hand regular dishes are overpriced American washed Mexican food. read more

This restaurant is one of my favorites in Riverside. The service is kind of meh...but the food is delicious so whatever. They have a good happy hour on weekdays (half price apps...woo-hoo!) if you don't mind sitting in the bar, and a very impressive (and very expensive) all-you-can-eat brunch on Sunday mornings. Try the tableside guacamole. :) read more

This location was a hot mess. Went Tuesday 9/6 around 615 pm with a party of 3. Was told a table would be ready appt 20 mins. Hostess asked if we wanted a booth or table; we said booth and didn't mind waiting a bit for it to clear off. Hostess gave our booth away after it was cleaned because a group came in with a small child; no biggie. Hostess could've told us the truth instead of basically saying it would take a bus boy awhile to clean it and had us sit in happy hour section. Seated around 7; also not a big deal. Restaurant was uncomfortably hot; not sure why. No waiter ever showed up at my table for even ice water to survive the heat; that's where I drew the line. I left; the other 2 stayed and said the food ended up being terrible. The only reason I gave two stars is because the hostess attempted an apology on my way out. This manager clearly does not know how to handle this location during peak hours. read more

We frequent this particular el torito a few times a month and had their brunch for the 1st time. I was surprised how good it was. They serve chicken , steak and carnita tacos with fresh made corn tortillas. They'll make you an omelette. There is also an assortment of their typical food, rice and beans, pork with red or green chili. Menudo, which surprised me. There was some fruit and desserts available as well. And they serve up mimosas throughout the meal, not enough oj for me. At $18.99 you can't beat it read more

Recently went here for the unlimited tacos last Tuesday and we had a great experience..as usual! Our server Sergio (hope that was his name) was awesome! He made her Elsa and Olaf and it was adorable. Such a wonderful family restaurant. read more

Came here this past Sunday sep/15 for brunch with my family and honestly received the most disgusting experience of my life ! I made my self a Romain salad and right when I took the first bite I felt something move (yes something was moving in my mouth!!) I then spited the salad out and realized there was a lettuce bug omg so awful they obviously don't wash the salad well !!! I explained to my server what had happened and showed him the bug and all he said was I'm sorry ! Never did a manager stop by .... we then decided to leave not to mention our bill was over 100 dollars ! Totally not worth this brunch ! read more

Absolutely fantastic! W went there a few days ago at 5pm. Immediately upon walking in... We were struck by the upbeat, happy, and very busy environment. I immediately noticed how much the staff were ALL smiling, welcoming. The aromas of the delicious food filled the air. Music very cheerful (but not too loud). *** Our outstanding waitress was Simei E. (El Torito, Griffin St, Corona, CA). I've been a waitress several times myself in the past. So I really watch how customers are treated. Again, Simei E. stands out as one of the BEST!! And, I made a POINT of telling her! *** Not forgotten is assistance/helper 'Sol'. The huge, genuine, joyful smiles all over face... The speed and efficiency of their keeping the assigned tables and sections clean and inviting... YES, I told them that, too. We are looking forward to dining here as often as our budget will allow. We're retired, and CAN afford to go here. Hope you go, too! read more

I absolutely love Mexican food and I have to say that the good here is decent. My boyfriend I shared the sizzling enchiladas with steak and it was delicious. I would give the food three stars and the service four stars! read more

First I would like to say that I LOVE the Brunch at El Torito!! I've gone here I don't know that three times in the month of February twice in Ontario and once in Riverside. Both of my experiences in Ontario have been amazing!!The staff were very professional, helpful, and provided excellent customer service, but unfortunately,I cannot say the same for the location in Riverside. I was seated at 12:30pm, walked around the buffet, and a majority of the food was gone (supposedly coming from the kitchen). I returned on several occasions and some items (especially at the waffle bar) were never replaced. When we spoke to the staff regarding when items would be replaced, they responded curtly saying I don't know or they coming soon which also wasn't true. Litzy at the waffle bar and our waitress Cindy provided IMMACULATE SERVICE and INDIVIDUALLY DESERVE 5 STAR REVIEWS!! Litzy was very personable and kind, asked my sister and myself about our experience during brunch and made our entire experience 10 times better!! Cindy was also very professional, always checked in to see if our party needing anything and was ALWAYS right on time with the mimosas!! Even though I won't return to this location based off the overall lack of service from the buffet staff, I did want to share to those particular women did an amazing Job. read more

Dinner was good like always and I'm glad they had outside dining this Thursday for my brothers birthday. There was 7 of us having dinner and our waiter Victor Perez took very good care of us. Very attentive to what needed. The man has great customer service and we didn't lack a thing. This El Torito has great customer service. I had the chimichanga and it was very good. My brother enjoyed his wet burrito and the kids loved their food, the wife enjoyed her vegetarian plate and the flan is excellent. Definitely coming back. The only thing that would make the experience even better is if they can do something about the flies, but that's an issue everywhere with dining outside and it being summer. read more
