But we wanted to see if we could find something closer and that could maybe satisfy our taco cravings. We came around 3 so it was just winding down the lunch crowd. We had 2 orders of steak tacos, an order of calamari, and I ordered the chicken mole. The steak tacos come with 4. We asked for some spicy hot sauce and they brought us some house made stuff. Hot. Fantastic flavor. The chicken mole was a thin cutlet of chicken breast. I was a bit bummed because I usually get it with bone in thighs or legs. Buuut the cutlet was super tender. The molé sauce was amazing. Best molé I've had yet. Had a bit of a kick to it The calamari app was in the top 5% of all the calamari apps we've ever tried. Will definitely get them again if I'm here. I liked the interior decorations and this place had ample private parking.

Went here last week for cinco de mayo. I knew it would be busy but decided to give it a try. They…read moresaid it would be a 30ish minute wait. Understandable. BF and I got a couple margs and waited outside. 40 mins goes by so I go in and check. They say it'll be another 20ish mins. 30 mins goes by and they say another 30 mins. Pretty hangry at this point. Again, I get its cinco de mayo. We finally get seated more than an hour and a half later. We order the guac and tortilla chips as an app. Guac wasn't bad. Chips were stale like they were out all day of cinco de mayo. My BF orders steak tacos as his entree. I order the Cochinita Pibil. "Slow cooked pork in achiote. Served with rice, beans and tortillas". We finally get that 30 mins later. His tacos were subpar to say the most. Quote "I wouldn't get tacos here again". My dish was the BLANDEST meal I've ever had in my life. It tasted like nothing. I was visibly upset when the waitress finally walked by 15 mins later and told her I couldn't eat it. She asked if I wanted something else so I told her I'd just have the steak tacos because I was starving at this point. She then asked if I wanted a box for the entree I originally ordered and I said no because it didn't taste good at all and neither of us would eat it. She began to walk away and I politely asked if she would still charge me for the cochinita pibil and she said yes so I told her I wouldn't want anything else and to just give us the check once my bf was done with his meal. She didn't pay attention to me the rest of the time we were there. She did end up charging us for that bland plate. Pretty sad. I regret not asking to talk to someone because I guarantee no one in that kitchen would have enjoyed it either, as they were all Hispanic from what I could tell. I myself am Central American so I know authentic dishes. Sad to say I will not be going back there. Good luck!

My only complaint is their meats, honesty as a Latino I have had Carne Asada and Carnitas/Pork, etc that was much better tasting, higher quality, and seasoned better. Their rice isn't particularly great either unfortunately. I do like the freshness and amount of food you get in options like their burritos. Fun fact, the ice cream shop is also a drive thru and you can just drive over without hopping on the road and loop into the parking lot again. Inside is new, spacious, and clean. The meats in the front of the store, that have been sitting there however long, are cold. They had this same issue last year. I'd hoped when they reopened they would have fixed this. They haven't. This Can't Be Safe. If food is not kept at a minimum temperature (like 140f) then it can go bad. Im so disappointed. I also feel deceived, because I was concerned this might happen since it happened last year (to me, to family, to friends). When I got to my car I reached into the bag and my burrito felt warm to the touch (touching the aluminum foil it was wrapped in). I was home in 5min and biting into in 10min and the inside contents of the burrito were COLD. The only thing I could think of is that they keep the tortillas hot, the foil hot, but not the food itself. I'd imagine anything cooked on the spot on the grill (where you can't see) has to be hot, but all the contents in the front of the place, that they use to make burritos, etc. are cold. I hate to leave bad review cuz I want small businesses to succeed, and the people have always been very nice. I'd rather leave a bad review that they can read and maybe learn from though, as opposed to simply calling the health department.

Our waitress brought over water and chips and salsa and gave us a few moments to review the menu. We ordered drinks, a steak quesadilla, and the rib eye tacos and fish tacos. Food came out quick and the staff were incredibly attentive. The steak quesadilla was yummy but I wish they had the sour cream and salsa or something on the side for it. It was only drizzled on top but since they were overlapping, it didn't feel like there was enough. But that's 10000% just personal preference! it was still very delicious! The cabo fish tacos were so yummy, we got them fried and they had a good crisp to is. But the star was the rib eye tacos.
