Chiles gueros stuffed with shrimp, cheese A torta de asada , chile relleno , sope and kid's quesadilla with asada

The Chiles gueros stuffed with shrimp and cheese are always a must have appetizer. I had A torta de asada , my gf had chile relleno and a chicken sope and son had kid's quesadilla with asada rice and beans .

Yummy! This is the perfect stop to grab some breakfast, lunch, or dinner! We stopped by on a Sunday pre-covid and it was packed. The parking lot is kinda tight so it was a challenge to find a spot. The employees took some time to acknowledge us and for some reason they sat us down but didn't have anyone to help us out. We were in a rush so after 15 mins of waiting we finally spoke up. The server ended up being nice and checked up on our table a few times. Our food didn't take too long to come out. The food was great! Nice and hot and freshly made! The salsa was amazing! Definitely gonna stop here again on my way back LA next time, with a little more time. Definitely check this place out!

Chilaquiles with carne asada

I was in a party of 6. Lunch after attending an afternoon funeral. The place was empty when we arrived. But around 2-3pm, seems like everyone and their mama rolled thru and the place was poppin! I ordered chilaquiles with carne asada and requested my eggs be over medium. N you know what I got?!?!?!? Freakin' EXACTLY what I ordered and my eggs were PERFECT! The server was nice and helpful. Though, I think she forgot my horchata but then remembered when she brought out our food. All good. The horchata was a 2nd order and I already had my sprite. Any how, the reason I gave 4 star is cuz the side of guacamole was a really small portion for $6+ and my Tia's taco meat was burnt up like they were mad at her or something lol. Other than that it was all good. Atmosphere is pretty lively with a good mix of family, work folk, and pre-game drankers :)

I got the huachinango frito (fried fish) with rice and beans and salsa de aguacate! Must try!

Everytime I go eat at El Tapatio I am very satisfied with the service and the food is delicious! Highly recommend their chavelas too best in town!

The food and service is very good. My only issue is the Juke box playing Rap music. In a Mexican restaurant? REALLY???

SHORT ANSWER: Yes, best time off season or off hours as this place gets slammed for a reason…read more LOCATION: Great location, just off Washington in La Quinta, Easy to find parking can get busy depending on when you visit. FACILITY: Looks like a diner, is a diner, and very nice and clean. MENU: Many selections, breakfast options may be overwhelming but you'll definitely find something you want. Lunch offers very good but standard options. FOOD PREP: Always, very well done for that Louise's Pantry is, they don't fake anything here. FOOD QUALITY: Excellent for this style of food. It is a great experience. WAITSTAFF: We've been here many times, and never have we run across anyone not upbeat, polite, and happy to see a customer. OVERALL VALUE: A bit on the expensive side but considering the amount of food they bring you, it is a fair deal. TIP: Unless you are Mr. Creosote (bonus points if you know that one) for $2.00 you can get a split plate and still have a huge portion. We usually go this way respecting the seats we are taking up.

The eggs needed seasoning, and the country potatoes were dry and lacked flavor, with only a couple of small pieces of onion and red pepper mixed in. My husband had the hash browns instead and felt his breakfast was just as bland. The service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was relaxed, but we were seated next to a broom, dustpan, and the bus cart for dirty dishes, which wasn't the best first impression. The restaurant also feels a bit dated. A few simple updates, like replacing the dusty artificial flowers and keeping cleaning supplies out of sight, would make a big difference. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but with so many great breakfast options in the area, we probably wouldn't return.

I ordered a side of sausage patties, another breakfast item I prefer over sausage links, and they were also very tasty. The place was busy, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes on a Saturday late morning. I'm sure Sundays are PACKED! The service was top notch and friendly. The wait staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing--my coffee and water were constantly refilled without even having to ask, which always makes a difference. I ordered the BLTA along with their German pancake. The BLTA was exactly what you want--crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, creamy avocado, all put together on toasted bread, and paired perfectly with seasoned fries. Now the standout: the German pancake. Just a heads up--it takes about 15-20 minutes to come out, but it's 100% worth the wait. It's served hot, puffed up, and finished with powdered sugar and lemon. Light, slightly crisp on the edges, and soft in the middle--really well done. Overall, great food, great service, and a relaxed vibe. Definitely a place I'd come back to

On our first trip to La Quinta, we ended up having breakfast here twice during our stay. It's a super small and cozy spot, and it can definitely get crowded, but the service is quick. Seating is first come, first served, but people are constantly coming and going, so you usually don't have to wait too long to grab a table and eat. Their pastries are delicious, but they do go quickly, so if you see something you want, grab it! The blueberry Danish -- 100/10! Absolutely amazing and definitely one of my favorites. The first time I had the red chilaquiles with chorizo, and they had just a little kick while being packed with flavor. The chorizo was the perfect addition and really made the dish for me. When we came back for a third visit, I ordered the red chilaquiles again but completely forgot to add a protein aside from the egg. That was a little disappointing, but totally my fault! Definitely add the chorizo or your choice of protein for the full experience. On our third visit, my seven-year-old got the regular buttermilk waffles, and he absolutely loved them. Honestly, I kind of wished I had ordered them for myself! We also tried the chicken and waffles, and the sauce definitely brought the heat! It was pretty spicy, but the waffle really balanced it out. It was a little too spicy for my seven-year-old, but he loved the flavor so much that he kept going back for more. My boyfriend has also loved everything he's ordered here, so it's safe to say this has become one of our go-to breakfast spots whenever we're in La Quinta. Small space, quick service, delicious food, and that cute Old Town La Quinta atmosphere--we'll definitely keep coming back!

Don't ever go there. Just kidding, sorry Cups -- but seriously, this place is OFF THE CHARTS! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. And the iced coffee deserves its own shout-out. They even had coffee ice cubes so your drink doesn't get watered down. Genius -- and really, really good! The staff was super attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. I hope they pool the tips together because every single person earns their keep.
