Worst customer service. So i ordered the sopes combo that comes with 3 sopes with rice and beans and an extra sope. As well with other iteams. Just because i asked if they can put one of the three sopes with the additional sope i asked. The girl charged me each by itself and aswell the rice and beans. I asked why she's charging me everything separately and she responded that since i moved one of the sopes before getting the plate she cant make it into a combo. Was very disappointed in the quality of the food. This restaurant is known for its sea food and the shrimp cocktail was tasteless and made with frozen limp shrimp and over priced at $17. Horrible!!! If I could give it a zero I would, ZERO stars. I never write reviews but the fact that the manager/owner was so rude he made me do this. I ordered a charola botana, aguachiles, and 3 asada tacos. The shrimp on the aguachiles tasted like old food that was sitting on the fridge for days and had absolutely no flavor!!... the Charola had almeja and it was old canned almeja and smelled, and the tacos were horrible and tasted stale and old. When I called them to bring it to their attention, the manager got mad when I told him the shrimp was and tasted like fridge,he replied with a "what does the fridge taste like?" trying to act smart so I described it to him and he kept on being rude. I told him I was going to take the food back so he could have a taste but I figured not to do so since I knew he was going to deny it so I preferred not to waste my time and energy arguing with someone like that. Good Service, it was calm and slow the day we went..Pero the vampiro tacos where too greasy and I couldn't close it from it being too stuffed. I really like the hot Cheeto rolls..my husband ordered the cucarachas but he was disappointment from them being too greasy and not a lot of flavor. I ordered a ceviche tostada 8 oz. the tostada was served in a bowl and the tostadas were given to me on the side with 2 tostadas!!! First time here, the service was alright. The server wasn't too friendly. I ordered the green aguachiles which are about $20 and this is what I got. The shrimp isn't even cleaned and this is literally how it was served. I hadn't even touched the plate to take a picture. It looks like they gave me the left over of an avocado and it just didn't look appetizing. Very lazy. I asked if I could return them and order something else but they said no that I had to pay for them and that they only clean the shrimp if they have time. If you like mariscos and are in Coachella then check this place out. The place is in a small strip mall and I had to battle for parking. Service was great. They have whole fish and traditional Mexican fair if you don't do mariscos style seafood. I got the house shrimp and pulpo with coconut it's a cold cocktail type dish. It's a tomato like salsa with chunks of the above ingredients in it. They have a giant bowl of crackers on the table with tons of hot sauces. I pull a piece of seafood out and put it on a chip or cracker then a dash of sauce with maybe some lemon and eat it that way. It cold and delicious. I also ordered the seven fish of the seas hot soup. It turns out that I ordered way to much food but I ate most of the delicious soup. It uses fake crab as a base meat. Joanne gave my mom and I the best service we've had in a long time while waiting for our order. She gave us a to-go order, shared the mariachi band places from 3pm-9pm. I found this restaurant on yelp and thought we'd try it out for the first time. My friend ordered aguachiles tostada which is her favorite thing to order when we have Mexican food. Once she took a bite, the aguachiles sounded like she was chewing on rubber.. my mom always makes aguachiles and I never have seen them look like that. It looked as if they didn't leave them soaking in lemon long enough or maybe not even at all... I'm not here to be disrespectful in any way because I work in the restaurant industry as well and it was as if the server noticed she didn't really touch the plate and completely avoided us at the end while we were waiting for her to come check up so we can order another drink and mention about the plate. Guess she was worried about the plate that bad... remind you we were the second table at this point and still can see her standing in the back. Finally we see a guy from the back of the house about to get ready to take a break and I raised my hand to get some attention by someone atleast. He walks up and brings the tab which is when we mention about the food to him, obviously it wasn't his business so he went to mention it to the server. You can easily tell they were upset gossiping about it that it took a while to have her come to our table. She finally came and asked what's wrong with the plate and we mentioned she just simply didn't like it and thought the texture was weird and we'd just like it removed. To mention we weren't rude at all, just wanted her to understand it wasn't pleasing period.. she after says my friend shouldn't have ordered it then and trying to say that's how its made and I mean thats okay but this was our first time coming here how was she going to know it was going to taste like that. Then she says that if we'd like to walk in the kitchen and talk to the manager but it was up to us.. like what? Why would we as customers walk in their kitchen to speak to someone about how we didn't enjoy this simple plate? This was already too extra and she still mentioned about 3 times how we could walk in their kitchen to speak to the lady. we were just confused... I don't know if I mentioned I'm actually a server and I know this isn't okay to tell your tables any of this. You as a server go mention to a manager a table isn't satisfied and that's it. Simple as 123 it the managers job after.. I guess the manager didn't speak English so a guy came out with an apron and we explained the plate wasn't good how she only took one bite and left the plate. He says "well these are Mexican aguachiles" ok? What I don't understand is why this became a problem and couldn't be easily solved... we gave feedback on a plate and instead of taking it you want to say we're wrong ? He then asks what we want from it and I said we just want it removed from the bill and we willl pay the rest that's it. He says they don't do that...... first restaurant I ever hear say that. I tell him how none of this is okay and they shouldn't be like this.. I explained to him how it wasn't right of the server to tell us to go look for you guys in the first place and he looked like he was over it and just took it off the tab.
