I wanted tacos, on Cinco de Mayo, but didn't want to join the mobs so I chose El Taco Llama for delivery. It arrived a little late, as I'm sure they were busy. The order was prepared as requested. I'm sorry to say, I did not enjoy the tacos. I ordered the 5 chicken tacos, but ate only 1 1/2. I found a knuckle in my mouth, after chewing it. Yuck. The tacos may have been OK, but I couldn't eat after that. The frijoles were OK. I had to nuke them, as they weren't quite warm enough. They were thick and had some whole beans and made a tasty dip with their very good chips. The green salsa, which I thought was their mildest, was spicy, but tasted good on the beans. The super nachos looked great... but no flavour on the meat whatsoever. The beans were dry and the lettuce was wilted. They forgot to put on my guacamole. I was really disappointed as I got my meal to go and I was 4 miles away on a rainy night. The person who ordered after me got his meals first. I ordered one item and waited over 15 minutes. I honestly like this place for most foods. Hole in the wall type of place. I was craving menudo decided to try theirs. It was eh not that great sadly. We try the carne asada fries, they are so good. My friend try the flautas, she really like them too. This place serves good food. Everything looks fresh and the counter is fully covered with the plastic shield to protect the foods from being exposed to covid from outside customers. Their aguas frescas are good too. This is normally one of my favorite taco places in the valley. I ordered a Asada quesadilla today and just received a cheese one. Was annoyed because it was threw DoorDash so I didn't know till I opened my food, it wasn't even completely melted. I'm big on customer service because I think it shows how much love is put into the food especially and a small hole in the wall. I will say I was highly disappointed with the customer service and lack of customer service. The burritos are good but if the service isn't good and it's the same person cooking and dealing with customers, I would rather take my business where there's better care for the customer experience and I know the food quality will be good. If you don't care about customer service or the persons attitude who is cooking then I would recommend this location. I'm open to trying the other locations. read more

Knocked a star off because there are nights when they either don't answer the phone or they do and don't say anything. It happens to us every like 4th time we go there and it takes us 30+ minutes to finally get someone or we give up. It's happening now. Lame. Okay update to my update. We ended up driving all the way from Simi Valley to order in person and had to wait. When we told the girl about the phone issue she didn't care. She said "oh". Ugh the fries here used to be soooo good and now they are trash. Cold, colorless and the asada was gross. The bean and cheese were whole pinto beans with shredded mozzarella that wasn't melted. I'm surprised not many places offer this burrito (filled with asada, fries, guacamole, cheese, and sour cream) so I was really excited to see that El Taco Llama did. And they forgot to add meat to my burrito, when I told them about it they wanted to grab the soggy burrito that I had already bitten and add the meat instead of making me a new one. I understand if it was my fault I would have just ate the burrito but the cashier dropped the ball so I would expect them to fix this. To the owner and employees... how would YOU feel watching someone preparing your food with their bare hands??? We don't know where your hands have been or if they're clean! It's not good! Yucky!
