I finally got a chance to stop by El Super Burrito III for lunch. I was so happy to see the nice crowd of lunch customers. This is the restaurant that had been at the gas station across the street. I always enjoyed stopping in for an authentic Mexican lunch. I had been worried that their new location wasn't as convenient and that it might affect their sales. It is also right across the street from where I buy my dog food so as it turns out it is still convenient for me. They have a beatiful and delicious salsa bar and right next to it are the chips & grilled onions & peppers...amazing! I ordered the all meat burrito. It looks like they use homemade tortillas to make their burritos and the filling for the meat burrito is huge & very moist but next time I'll order a burrito with beans. My grandson says their chile toreadors are to die for! I didn't see that on the menu so it might be something you have to ask for. The guy that works there and takes orders, is hard working and enthusiastic. They even have menudo on the weekends. The restaurant's indoor seating is basic so don't expect anything fancy but the food is definitely worth it & the service is impressive. One guy taking orders, delivering meals, greeting customers and doing it all with energy & joy. Check out my pictures I think you'll be tempted to go there ASAP! I'm hungry now...

It's just good Mexican food and a drive through. What???? It sure helps out this mom of 5!!! I love the burritos, tostadas are tasting. Whatever they did to the dr. Pepper keep it up!!! Best burrito place attached to a gas station I've ever eaten at. A hiding gem in Bend.

So this is what I got when I ordered a nacho with no tomatoes. Oops!

I have gotten food here several times. The food from here is really delicious when it is right. Order accuracy is hit or miss.

After all that hard work, our family always ends up back at El Rodeo. It's our go-to spot and has been for years. The service is always great and the people working there are genuinely friendly and kind. It feels like a real family restaurant where they're happy you showed up. The bar is also a fantastic place to grab a drink or margarita, play a little video poker, and end up talking to half the locals in Bend. Somehow you go in for dinner and leave feeling like you attended a neighborhood reunion. The food is exactly what you want when you're craving Mexican: hot, good, and a lot of it. I have never once left there hungry or disappointed. Plates show up looking like they were designed for a lumberjack who skipped lunch. They recently remodeled the bar, which looks nice... but personally I believe Mexican restaurants should be built once in about 1987 and then left exactly the same forever. It's part of the charm. That said, the remodel won't stop me from going back regularly. Great people, great food, strong margaritas, and the kind of place that makes Bend feel like home. Five stars all day.

Pair it with an ice-cold draft beer in a frosty mug and you're set. The menu covers all the staples, and portions are generous without being over the top. Everything comes out hot, flavorful, and consistent, which is why it's a place people here keep coming back to year after year. The owner is super friendly and we have the same few servers every time who even Renee our go to orders. My parents love their Chile Rellano with green sauce. They also have one of the best happy hours in Bend -- great prices, plenty of options, and that friendly, familiar vibe that makes it feel like a neighborhood favorite.

The calling and pickup experience was good. The super supreme burrito was definitely not super and was not enough to fill my appetite. It felt like there were ingredients missing and all I could taste was a lot of refried beans and some meat. Definitely was not super or supreme. I hope that it was a one time experience at this location. I tried the chicken fajita burrito with was quite watery and I was not expecting raw green onions in it, but overall left me craving for a better version of a burrito. Super Nachos were good, not the best that I've had but quite good for the price. Overall I'll try this location again just to see if it was just not the best day for the restaurant.

They cater to their clientele, the people of Bend. I don't blame them at all for catering to their customer's tastes. I ordered an all meat burrito, some fish tacos and a couple of carne asada tacos. Let's talk first about their tacos. The tortillas are flour tortillas. Most Mexican joints use corn tortillas. The fish tacos are made with tilapia. They are grilled, not fried. Not quite the same fish tacos that we have in Southern California. The carne asada was grilled. However, both tacos seemed to be missing flavor. Adding salsa did not help. The all meat burrito was indeed all meat. I thought I asked for carne asada, instead, I got a burrito full of shredded beef. Again, adding seasoning would've helped. I'll be super nice to them and give them 3 stars. But, if you come from an area with lots of Mexican food, you won't like this spot.
