Stopped in for a quick lunch on a Sunday. The person in front of us ordered and as they walked off, the cashier also walked off without saying anything. It was a min or two before another employee came to the desk, where she immediately answered a phone call without saying anything to us. After the call, she took our order. The food came out pretty quickly and looked decent. Unfortunately, the flavor did not deliver. I had the Achiote chicken taco and a carne asada taco. The achiote chicken didn't have a ton of flavor (which made me what their regular chicken would taste like). We make achiote chicken at home regularly and the achiote chicken burrito at DG is one of my favs. The carne asada also seemed to be lacking seasoning. On top of that, the pieces of steak were very small and crisply, almost more like bacon bits than small slices of steak. There was also waaaay too much pico and guac on the taco. The flavor of carne asada was almost completely lost. The lettuce on the achiote chicken was a little too abundant also. I would tell you about my wife's chicken rolled tacos, but they gave her beef tacos! I tried the salsa verde and ranchera salsas. They were both pretty good. At almost $4/taco, there are many places I would choose before this spot unfortunately. read more

Im updating my review.. we have come here countless times and they tend to get the grilled chicken wrong and replace it with achiote chicken. One time, the lady told me it was grilled chicken. I explained to her we come here almost once a week and I know its not. Overall, food is decent to good. But today, I tried the flautas with beef and they might as well call it vegetarian because they were only a few strands of beef..mostly bell pepper, tomato and onion! For the price, and if I'd known, I would have ordered carne asada tacos (for more beef). Image below. Fast- casual Mexican restaurant recently opened in the Reed Market Rd commercial center, same one as Cascade Lakes pub and Great Greek Mediterranean. - Extensive menu, not just tacos - Nice space if you want to eat in. Several comfortable booths and tables (all accessible for mobility challenged folks) - Great salsa bar with a few other items. Really like the onion & peppers. - Very reasonable prices. - No alcohol. - Shredded beef burrito was outstanding. Decent size and well-prepared. - Open early, closes late, every day. I've been to this place a few times and also ordered delivery several times. Overall, the food is good and definitely worth trying. I really love their TJ tacos and their carnitas--they're both delicious! It's not the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it's solid and satisfies the craving. Tried this place out the other day. We had a Bandido burrito and an Axels burrito. The was our favorite, but the meat was a little over done. Axel's burrito had chicken that was seasoned really well and juicy, couldn't figure out where the fried cheese was though. We also got a side of the beans and rice, they were okay, but won't be getting them again. They had a really nice salsa bar, but I wasn't that impressed with the flavors, habanero was hot, but not great flavor and the hot sauce was not hot but had okay flavor. Probably the best was the salsa verde, but still not great flavor. The place was very clean and everyone that helped us was very friendly. The food and service is great! Generous portions at a good price. The carnitas tacos as well as the crunchy beef tacos are where it's at.

Avoid!!! I have given this place quite a few chances and have been unhappy every time. I eat a lot of Mexican food and believe there are plenty of other better places in town. Very inconsistent!! Oh my gosh! The salsa bar, roasted carrots, grilled onion and jalapeño were so yummy. I had a $12.50 chicken taco salad. Huge portion of chicken! The shell was slightly over fried but I don't eat it anyways. Surprisingly no beans. Next time I'll sub them for the rice. Hubs had a carne asada monster burrito. I originally made a good review of this place on google and became a regular since it's the closest place for Mexican food that is decent for me. However, after a few months I have realized this place is a hit or miss. Depending on the time of day you go at I noticed that the quality of food is better in the daytime. At night I recently been getting overcooked items. I've had rolled tacos with burnt ends and over fried fish tacos. I honestly couldn't even tell if the hot sauce or the tacos I had last night tasted like cleaning supplies as well. Doesn't help that I even saw a recent low score review in regards to cleanliness. Amazing service, and big menu to choose from. Absolutely authentic! I got four asada tacos and I could only finish 2 and half. They give you huge portions. The asada was extremely flavorful. They have a big salsa bar with many different salsas to choose from. They also provide grilled onions, Jalapeños, etc. The ambiance was very warm and welcoming with a modern flare to it. 10/10! read more

Pros: They have a few good items on the menu. Cons: Okay, here we go... 1. Most the food is bland. I sometimes wonder if they season their food at all. 2. The customer service is horrendous at times. There's a 50/50 chance they'll act like you don't exist when you go. 3. They cannot run a drive-thru. I spent fifteen minutes waiting at the window and when someone finally showed up, they tried to give me another customer's order. 4. They've charged me before, then sent someone else to the window who tried to charge me again. I have to tell them I've already paid. 5. The entire kitchen staff look like they're stoned out of their minds. Bloodshot eyes, lagging speech (not the kind that stems from language barriers, but from drug use) and forgetting what I ordered between the speaker and the window. Overall, this place is sad, because I see the potential here and I've gotten good food from them, but the service is a complete and total mess. I'm disappointed in myself for waiting so long to try this place! The restaurant is very clean and well lit and the staff is super friendly. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and pork street tacos. All were exceptional! The salsa bar is amazing with tasty salsa, crisp pickled carrots and yummy grilled onions with whole jalepeno! Very clean, great service. I ordered a Carne Asada Taco, and a Adobada taco... and both were delicious, but I definitely preferred the Carne Asada. Chips and salsa came as chips seemingly warmed by a heat lamp, and pico de Gallo salsa. My wife didn't care for the shredded beef, wasn't terrible but the Carne Asada was delicious. We definitely preferred the carne asada of the three we tried. Over all, we would come back again. The best part was that it was very affordable. A full lunch (we drank water only) was a little over $20. Definitely satisfied customers. I would give them a shot. The servings are huge! We had a chile relleno and a chimichanga. More than enough leftovers for a second meal. It is self service. Wait in line to order, take a number, wait at your table. Not too bad. Fairly quick service. Self service fountain drinks. A few aguas frescas like Jamaica, Horchata and Tamarindo are also available. The layout could use a reset. Lots of people, standing in a line, are right in the middle of several of the tables. Even some ropes to create a particular area for a line might be a good idea. The ambiance is that of a fast food place. Not good-not bad. There is also a station where several salsas, radishes, peppers, and cucumber slices are available.
