Food and service very good. I previously rated this place and gave it 1 star when I meant 5. I'll be back for more.

Especially because they have seasonal specials as well. I enjoyed my tinga chicken nachos, especially since it has the house queso drizzled!! So yummy, service was a bit slow the night we were there last but they were busy!! Our food was ready so quickly though so not sure if they were just down someone front of house. Either way this is a recommend every time.

So I wasn't full before my entree arrived. I ordered a salad with pollo en adobo. Another pleasant surprise. The salad came with plenty of tender lettuce, some sliced avocado, and a sprinkling of crushed tortilla chips for a little crunch. The chicken was also generous, brightly seasoned in a way that complemented the dressing. My spouse's chicken enchiladas were not as temperature hot as I would have liked, but the spice came in plentiful layers. They came with enough sauce to cover but not drown the enchiladas, and topped with lettuce and tomato. We also ordered esquites. They were pretty good, perhaps a little salty and needing more lime juice. At first, the restaurant seemed very noisy, but we eventually got used to it and could have a conversation. I enjoyed the quirky decorations, which seemed to evoke both a twentysomething's living room and a Mexican restaurant. The televisions had both sports and PBS Masterpiece, something for everyone. Despite the restaurant being busy, our server was attentive and friendly. More surprises: unisex bathrooms with a common sink area, and paper compostable takeout containers. In many ways this place seems to anticipate a forward-thinking young crowd. We left feeling nourished and not overstuffed. A good first visit to La Tapatia. I will definitely consider it next time I'm in Roseville!

The inside is clean and the walls proudly show off Mexican culture, which is cool. Food is ordered on kiosks, which is good if you know what you want, but if you do not, there is no one there to help-- you need to walk over to the kitchen area to ask. Food came out quickly, and there is a salsa bar! Pros: - Good food - Portion sizes are good Cons: - If there is a line, it can fell like lots of pressure to quickly order, which can be tough if it's your first time.

They offer a good variety of Mexican food that includes tacos, burritos, machetes, huaraches, torta, and more. I love their birria burrito and their shrimp volcano. One item I recommend to try is their mega birria which is 1/2 lb of birria meat smothered in shredded cheese, on a 18" corn tortilla with cilantro, onion, served with a cup of consume and side of limes. You can order at the kiosks and pick up your food within less than 10 minutes which makes a quick service. The restaurant has several tables you can sit at and nice music on to enjoy. Each Taco Libre has their own decorations and this is also one of my favorite with part of a wall full of jarritos bottles.
