Got this togo with a bunch of friends. I chose the nopales plate. Very flavorful but wish there was something more in it like tofu or a vegan protein. I added tofu to it later which was great. Guac was good. Chips fantastic. The other members of our party loved their food.

I've been here a few times and tonight's food was amazing. I heard the Rojitos de Cameron were the best here. I was unfamiliar with the dish, but it was like a quesabirria taco, but with shrimp and not birria which I've only seen as beef in the States. I came before a dinner rush and asked the staff what was the shrimp taco there. I was told the Rojitos de Cameron and that's what I couldn't remember from what I read online. At first, I was skeptical about shrimp and cheese on the same taco, but it was a game changer. It was served with what I believe to be the same consume as what is normally served with birria. I added chips and salsa to my meal and it hit $30 before tip. Forgot to check the price of chips and salsa. A heads up, the tacos take a bit to get made so order ahead if you're in a time crunch. A bit of time passes and my name is called. I sit down and it looks like I got the wrong order of beef tacos. I take them back to the counter and ask if these are the right tacos. She apologized and said no that's the wrong order. It's going to be a bit longer. When I get the tacos, they're amazing. Some of the best tacos I've had. I normally love birria or Carne Asada tacos, but these an excellent for Lent on Fridays. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place used to be a fast food place of some sort and had a family owned restaurant vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menu boards aren't anything fancy, but man this is an excellent restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ventilation could be better there as I smelt like I worked in a Mexican restaurant when I left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Overall really good. The quesabirria was juicy and very flavorful without having to add any salsa. The breakfast burrito was large and also pretty good, I felt it was missing something. Staff was friendly. Family-owned and family-operated--and now proudly expanding with a second location--this is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Tucson! Everything is incredibly fresh and full of flavor, with the best carne asada and birria I've ever had. You can taste the authenticity in every single bite. Their fresh flour or corn tortillas elevate the dishes even more, but if you're following a low-carb or keto diet, the cheese tortillas are an amazing alternative--rich, flavorful, and surprisingly satisfying. This place continues to impress, and it's easy to see why it's becoming a Tucson favorite. Highly recommended!

Finally stopped by here when we were on the side of town. It did not disappoint. The chips and salsa are good, the hot salsa was a bit too much for me. I had a few different tacos. Carne Asada was too dried out and tough. Add Beans Rice $3.50 were great. Hubby's Torta $13 Cabrito goat +$5 (tastes like stewed lamb) was too $$$; tasty, enjoyed but not worth it for a sandwich, without chips or a drink. 3 tasty Salsa bottles kept cool in fridge come with your order, mild tomato Rich & red 3.5* spicy and citrusy tomatilla Verde. Having now been to both locations, would return to ER2 over this location and unless for the smoky mesquite grilled ribs would rather a sit down restaurant experience for same price. Could get a superior entree w fixins on a real plate/utensils for $18 (dreaming La Frida). Came specifically to try the Lorenzas. They pale vs homemade large 5" ones @CasaAsadaTaqueriayCerveceria with stay-a-while boogey digs and delish large oyster mushroom option. Sometimes the hole in wall does it for you or you just wanna crawl out, to the wonderland.

A great place for Quesabirria. We have come here before and really enjoyed the food and service. This time we loved the food but the service was subpar. We were helped by a Jessica L (according to the receipt) who was condescending and not nice to my family. We had 6 of us in our group and ordered at the counter as usual. We each had 3 quesabirria tacos with the rice and beans and ordered a bag of the fried pork rinds as well. Our bill was about $138 before tip. Jessica L was not nice to our kids who ordered the usual chicken quesabirria combo plates. She made a comment about the order being unusual and did they know what they were doing - that sort of thing. I didn't learn of this until after we left the restaurant or I would've said something or amended my tip appropriately. I like their food here but they better clean up their service or they won't do well in the future. There is a LOT of competition for this sort of meal in the area and I will be trying them the next time I'm in the area.

The food I have to say was very good! Service was kind. The Ambience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When it comes to the cleanness I am very picky. Clean windows and clean floors perhaps could've added another two stars but unfortunately it just did not meet my personal expectations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No rain in the last two weeks you would figure windows would be clear by now. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Low customers at that time and plenty of employees to come out to sweep and clean the mess on the floors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But again. I had Tacos de Cabeza and were delicious!

Omg!! Why hadn't I eaten here yet??? Delicious food... shared a burrito and the beef ribs and both were amazing! I had been craving ribs and these ribs were meaty and cooked to perfection ( served with tortillas and side of rice and beans). I am usually not a fan of beans - but here I couldn't get enough! Service was quick and business was steady... we went a little past the lunch hour and was able to secure parking and a table .. but can imagine there would be a wait during prime dining time. Did some carry out. Got some of them QuesoBirria tacos I've been seeing all over the internet. They were legit. Very tasty. Wife got a caramelo with the asada. She was pleased and couldn't finish it cause it was so big. Love the green salsa and the hot red definitely had a real kick. Will be back. read more

The quesabirria tacos are what brought me in, they are delicious no doubt but a bit pricey. I've ordered to go 2 times and both times I got their fairly quick and they food seemed like it may have been sitting already, their was sauce outside of the to go containers (very sloppy looking) and the food wasn't as hot as I would have liked. Service could have been friendlier, when I walked in there were 3 people up front behind the counter... 2 were carrying on a conversation and the other was on the phone taking a pretty detailed order... the 2 didnt even attempt to ask help and I noticed my food on the counter.. I could have been in and out...but just waited until the last finished the food order and finally acknowledged us.The flavor is on point so I'd probably go again and I know this place is always packed and all of their food is probably delish, but there's a lot of Mexican food options out there, with far better service and prices. read more

Absolutely spot on. The carne asada was smoky and slightly caramelized, the costilla was shredded to perfection, and my girlfriend loved her sopes with rajas con crema. Also, the woman working the register was friendly and helpful. Likely to become a regular spot. read more

my boyfriend and I went to El Rustico and the food was honestly really good but I had to ask for my drink before leaving because they forgot and when I went home I realized they never gave me my guac. it wasn't a big deal so I called and asked for a refund for the guac and the girl said it let me check the system I'll give you a refund and she hung up the phone and when I tried to call back they were ignoring me. Customer service could be better. read more

The carne asada gorditas were gross. The rest of the food (birria and cabeza were ok). The pick up order was incomplete and they refused to credit my account. Instead we had to drive back for store credit and they didn't bother to comp a drink or anything else for the inconvenience. Not a good way to conduct business and to have repeat customers. read more

Amazing! Delicious! First time I have been, wasn't sure what to get so I got a little bit of everything. Friendly staff, clean facility. Order food to go and when I took it out at home it smelled so fresh and delicious! Every bite we took we couldn't stop talking about how great the food was! This restaurant has never let us down. Great food every time. The quesabirria is delicious but I haven't had anything here that wasn't great! Also, the staff is super nice and accommodating. Great customer service! I would recommend giving extra time ( a few minutes) for your pick orders around lunch time because this place gets busy. It is well worth the wait read more

OMG this place is amazing! I rarely leave reviews but the food was so good I had to. I read about this place and how it started and wanted to try it and support another local business as I am a local business owner as well. It's a small place located where checkerboard cafe used to be. Friendly staff took my take out order at the counter and I received my order promptly, less than 15 minutes for quite a large order over 75$ and everything was correct and cooked perfectly. The carne asada here is hands down some of the best I've ever had and I do consider myself a taco snob. The flavor of the meat is the real deal, no cheap stuff being used at the place, you can taste the quality. The beans and rice and I'm presuming to be home made tortillas are all really really good! The salsa we chose was the medium and it was a great texture and blended nicely. I'll be back soon and I'll be telling everyone I know this is the new spot for the best tacos in town!! read more

After trekking away at my bike for an hour, I worked up an appetite and decided to pay this place a visit. A small quaint restaurant, especially now with COVID everything is spaced out. I went on a Facebook search for best Burris tacos in Tucson and this place appeared to have the most recommendations. The food is delicious, idk if it was the best tacos I had but will suffice especially for a famished biker. But the thing that sticked out to me the most was the customer service the older lady bestowed upon me. She saw that I was need of more water, and offered to fill my bottle with ice cold purified water. This was like heaven to me as I was running low. The lady and I sparked a brief conversation and told me they have been open within the last year. They don't pay for advertisements, just word of mouth and of course delicious food that they can for sure flaunt. I would come back again and see what other menu options they have. read more

We were there by 10 and they were thankfully open. The food was amazing . Service went above and beyond. She even brought my dog ice water. We hung out for awhile . After eating Mexican food for 60 years in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Mexico, I have a pretty good idea of what quality Mexican food is all about. Even though I only had one dish here, I was so impressed that I would say that they have the finest carnitas in Tucson. I had a carnitas burro with rice, beans and pico inside. Great carnitas has a certain texture and taste. Theirs has it. I love that they have birria, cabeza and cabrito. These are not that common and a good sign. Going back for more. This place is the real deal. read more

Oh so Yummy! I had the quesabirria taco plate so good!!! The taco shells are cooked with cheese melted to the outside and then inside is the most tender and tasty beef. With tiny onions and cilantro. The beans and rice are very good. The plate comes with a little container of birria au jus to add to the already juicy meat inside the taco. I am going back very soon! read more

Best tacos I've ever had. Not exaggerating. And tacos are my favorite food in the world. These tacos were that good. I had the al pastor taco plate. My husband had al pastor and carne asada tacos. We also had chips and guacamole. Everything was incredible. They also serve everything with 3 different salsas which were all great. If I weren't in Tucson on vacation and actually lived here, I would go to this place every week. read more

I left a comment for this place on Facebook and it looks like the restaurant deleted it! We made a special trip all the way from Vail to see what all the hype was about, been seeing it on FB a lot. We get here a few hours before the place closes down and start looking at the menu. The lady behind the counter asks what she can help us with, my wife starts to order and the lady says....we are out of everything!! Really, if you are out of everything don't you think THIS is what you lead with. Needless to say it was a waste of time and I ended up getting stuck eating pizza. I am sure the food is great and all, but come on. If I am ever on this side of town again I'll give this place another shot and see about raising my start rating. **** UPDATE! My wife had to go to the Tucson Mall today....SO.....we stopped and gave it another shot! The food is good.....the quesabirria tacos are good but I think a little bit over hyped. Now, let me tell you about the tacos de cabeza.......my mouth is watering as I type this! I would definitely come back here JUST for the tacos de cabeza. My wife had a quesadilla and she tried the carne asada tacos. She wasn't a big fan of the quesadilla but she loved the carne asada tacos! read more

Don't waste your time with this place, they charge me for gratuity for no service at all. We ordered the food, we ate it and they force to pay 10% for i Don't know what, the receipt says 10% gratuity for 4 or larger. We used one four seat table and my little one didn't like it. But if you want to go somewhere, where its super greasy, overpriced and gives themselves 10% gratuity for no service then go ahead. I want to support local businesses but not when they do dishonest things like this. read more

Had been hearing about this place for awhile now and decided to grab some tacos on the way home. Added some guacamole as well. God travels well. Took about 20 minutes to get home through rush hour traffic. Had the Al Pastor, Carne Asado, Birria and Carnitas. All were quite tasty. Especially liked the Carne and Al Pastor. Guacamole was petty good but needs more garlic. I'm picky and always like it heavy on the garlic. A very GOOD first outing. Look forward to visiting again really soon. read more

And that's really all I got, but as simple as it might seem horchata really can be hit or miss and this was absolutely a HIT! I didn't actually order any food, but the gentleman I was sitting next to said his burritos was delicious. I cannot personally review the food, but I can say, for finding a random place off the side of the freeway, it is shockingly a good time sipping on a ice cold horchata while taking in the ambiance of a gas station parking lot, from a little fold up table.

It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. The Oracle Street location isn't huge, but the staff does a fantastic job getting folks in and you won't feel cramped. The only gorditas I've ever had that were similar to these were in aguascaliente Mexico. In central Mexico. So save yourself a 2000 mile drive and go to oracle rd and live it up. Tacos were bomb too. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, and the meat was tender and juicy. I especially liked the homemade salsa and guacamole; they tasted authentic and full of flavor.
