Rincincito #2 is one of our favorite local spots. The food is always super fresh and tastes homemade. My go-to are the enchiladas -- fried tortillas stuffed with meat, cheese, beans, sour cream, and more. They come out hot, loaded, and full of flavor every time. The vibe here is really laid back. Service can be on the slower side, but honestly that doesn't bother us because the food makes up for it. It feels more like you're hanging out at a friend's place waiting for a home-cooked meal than a fast-paced restaurant. On top of that, the prices are great. You get a ton of food for what you pay, and it's always consistent. We love supporting this place and will keep coming back whenever we're craving fresh, authentic flavors without breaking the bank.

Met a friend for lunch who is staying at a nearby timeshare. Service, food, and prices were excellent! I can see why the restaurant is very popular with folks looking for a reasonably priced, tasty, and authentic Salvadorian meal. Definitely look forward to going back!

This is one of my favorite spots in Broward county. I had been to their location out east and this one might be even better. I usually order this Togo and you know the food is good when it still tastes amazing after a delivery. I dined in last week and was also blown away by the excellent service. Inside the place is not fancy but feels very warm and inviting. My go to - Carne asada - grilled beef. Comes with tortilla choice and two sides. I always get this and it is always bursting with flavor. It has yet to let me down. Perfectly seasoned and nice quality cut. 5/5 ($16.75) They also have amazing queso frito, pupusas, taquitos de pollo frito. You can't go wrong with this place. I could eat here everyday and not get tired of it!

Best pupusas in south Florida, very authentic and quick service. Recommend to anyone looking for authentic food

Dropped in because we were staying in the area and hesitated because we're from Virginia aka the land of El Salvadorian restaurants. However this has to be hands down the best Salvadorian food and restaurant we've been to. They give you complimentary chips and salsa and we ordered the Carne Asada which was delicious. Ended it with a flan. The restaurant itself was very nice and clean. Large TVs and music. Our waitress Claudia was great from the moment we walked in! Wish I lived in the area to visit more often.

We love Latin food and had tried Salvadorian food before. I was craving pupusas, which are an arepa type type tortilla filled with chicken, beef, cheese, or other fillings. We ordered a cheese and a chicharron one. They were delicious. Took over 20 minutes to come though. We had to ask because we thought they forgot to put them in. We also ordered Churrasco, and Salvadorian steak. I loved my food. It was very tasty. You also get a very generous portion. Prices are reasonable. The Churrasco was $24 (which is comparable ) and mine was $15. Pretty standard for Latin fare. Service was friendly, and they came to ask how we were doing often. The food did take longer than it should have, but it wasn't a big deal. It Would be if you came on a weekday on your lunch hour. We had flan for dessert, which was so good! They serve many natural juices, sodas, beers and I did see wine, which is not on the menu. There is not a lot of decor so to speak, but the place is clean and spacious tables are spaced appropriately. Not on top of one another like some places. All in all it was a very hood meal. We will most definitely come back for more pupusas and to try more dishes.

As a Salvadoran who grew up on this food, el rinconcito #2 is the place to go. El rinconcito #1 is just as good. I had the traditional Salvadoran breakfast and it was perfect. I also had a cafe con leche and a tamal con crema. And now for the Spanish review.....

The food was delicious and the staff was great. The waitress took the time to explain my food choices and delivered with good service.

As much Latin/Spanish food I've eaten over the years, I've never had a meal from El Salvador! Living in south Florida I've had my more than fare share of Cuban. And here and on the island, Puerto Rican food; an occasional Colombian or Argentinian meal; a lot more Peruvian lately. And in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Brazil their local cuisine. So I wasn't sure what to expect or how different it would be. About a year ago, I remember reading a review from Melodie M about a place in Lake Worth that specializes in pupusas. I looked them up at the time, and learned they were a national dish of El Salvador. So I did know I wanted to try one of them. We were greeted warmly in Spanish on entering. And asked in Spanish what we wanted to drink. As I told my husband in English to go look at the cooler, the young gal realized she'd better send someone over who spoke better English. We got to meet one of the family members who owned the restaurant. We later learned they'd been open almost a year. We got great suggestions and recommendations from him on what to order. The pupusas (a thick corn meal flatbread that is stuffed) came in either cheese, chicarones (which is actually a pork paste), beans, a plant vegetable, or a combo. We were thinking the cheese one (I was playing it safe), when we asked the gentlemen for his favorite. His favorite was the combo pork and cheese. So that's what we ordered. It was served hot and divided into four pieces for us to share. There's a coleslaw on the side that you put on top. Then you choose one of their 3 side sauces -- one is mildish red tomatoey; one green and a bit spicy; one chunky with marinated veggies and jalapeños. Oh my. This was wonderful. And we decided we could make a meal of these pupusas next time we come. Then for our entrees, my husband chose the liver steak with onions and tomatoes. He said it was very good. I opted for their fried snapper. I thought it would be a fillet, but it turned out to be a huge whole fried fish served with many pieces of lime. It was very good -- but oh so much food! You can get tortillas or instead sweet plantains with every entree. Plus you get your choice of 2 sides. We both chose yellow rice and salad. Portions are large. We wound up sharing one of the sides and taking the rest home. As full as we were, we couldn't resist trying their home made flan for dessert. It was very good, as well. So glad we decided to try this casual local restaurant. A new experience with a new cuisine at very reasonable prices.

La Casita Salvadoreña, ubicada en Commercial Boulevard, es el clásico hole in the wall que parece discreto por fuera, pero por dentro te da una bofetada de sabor (con cariño ). Las porciones son absurdamente buenas. No sales lleno... sales derrotado. Si no has ido, ve. Si ya fuiste, sabes que digo la verdad. Y si sales con hambre... hiciste algo mal.

The steak was a bit dry, the casamiento was a bit soggy. Overall ok not sure if I'll have it there again. I also had a pupusa mixta which wasn't too fresh. When my bill came the waitress already added her tip to my bill when she gave it to me so it came a bit pricey. Not sure if I'll come back here in a long time.
