Located off Alabama Street in the shopping Plaza where 7-11 and a few other shops are located. Looks like a neighborhood dining spot. Owner was taking orders and was the server as well. Space did not look big but once inside you will find they have two dining area. Ordered from their lunch menu a taco plate which comes with rice and beans. He also included a bag of chips and salsa with my to go order. That may be something they do with all to go orders? Over all my Taco plate cost me about $10 with tax. Good deal for the quality and amount of food you get. Plus you get a bag of chips and salsa, which is a bonus for a to go order.

I'm pretty sure ER2 was one of the first restaurants I visited when I first moved to The Ham almost 20 years ago. I remember asking my friend..."Where is El Rinconcito 1?" Well, friends, here we are two decades later and that question still hasn't been answered! Mysterious name aside, ER2 is solid, local Mexican food made even better by the super friendly service you get. Their staff treats you like an old friend even if you haven't darkened their door for awhile. And their prices are really good too. On a recent visit I enjoyed a bean enchilada for lunch, plus a beer, and got out of there for less than $12! Their salsa is also divine. I always fill up on it and can't finish my entree. I know, I know, SSDD!

Absolutely abysmal. We ordered the pork green chile and the carne asada. Before our actual food came out, we were given salsa that was so runny we could hardly scoop it out with chips. When our dishes did come out, the carne asada was in a pool of grease, the beans tasted like they came out of a can, and I watched them MICROWAVE our tortillas before bringing them out. Additionally, the "green chile" that my boyfriend's pork came in was about as thin as water, and soaked through everything else on his plate. It looked like wet dog food. I took a few bites off my plate then stopped eating and refused to take it home in a box. Even though I took only a few bites, I asked them if they still expected me to pay for it and they insisted that I do. I have no idea how this place has such high ratings but all I can think of is that we're SO far from Mexico that locals don't know what it SHOULD taste like. Aside from taste quality, the greasiness alone made me queasy. Not only will I never go here again, I would warn anyone else to never bother trying it.

Beef stew out of a can and put in my taco... vile.

This is one of the most inedible meals of my life. The 'shredded' beef has no flavor...because it is beef stew out of a can. What the actual? The first clue this was a bad choice. We are the only ones here in a Sunday lunch. The second clue: the microwave being used as soon as we ordered. I can confirm it tastes like re-heated crap. Ate 2 bites. Wrote this review. Left. Disgusting.

You can't beat the price at lunch and the food is absolutely delicious. Never fails me. Their chimichangas are the best!

Probably the best non-taco-like-place Mexican food in town. Kind of hidden away, but worth finding. Been coming here 10+ years on and off.

This is not a four star restaurant in my opinion. The service was good and the food was just average.

If you love wine and food, this is THE place in town…read more My girlfriend and I had a date night out. We came here mostly for a charcuterie plate, but it turned out to be least impressive. However, we were both very pleased with the small plates that we shared: "asparagus" and "potatoes" with caviar. SMALL PLATES The asparagus looked like a salad but was a bit warm to our surprise. I enjoyed the different flavors put together, including some bitterness. My absolute favorite is the potatoes. We ordered it with caviar, which only cost $8 extra! CHARCUTERIE We ordered the imported charcuterie board for 2. It was presented nicely, but there was nothing to brag about other than that. The amount of food was right for 2, but it's because there's lot of bread but there's little cheese and cured meat. The quality of the cheese and the meat was just ok. COST We were shocked how inexpensive it was. We ordered 2 small plates, a charcuterie board for 2 people, a bottle of Spanish wine, a slice of olive oil cake, and 2 coffees. It all added up to only about $100. It's shocking as it includes a bottle of wine. The coffee was pour over, and they made one cup at a time, but it was only $3! CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM The small plates were excellent, but the charcuterie plate needs more work. There should be more cheese and meat both in terms of the quantity but also the variation (and less bread). CONCLUSION I will definitely come back here again for wine and a couple of small plates. ************************************************************ If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button! We tried the bioluminescence drink and the toasty marshmallow latte. The bioluminescence drink is very aesthetic and drinks like a soda / energy drink, though it is a one and done for me as I don't feel the sparkles are the most healthy thing. The toasty marshmallow latte was a bit pricy at $7.50 but they had 3 pieces of toasted marshmallow that is perfect (s'mores like but not burnt) and there is a lot of drink. It was on the sweeter side for me. They have Cinnamon Toast Crunch on the side but it was a bit stale, but I won't be docking off a star as there's not much to it and everything else was delicious. We opted to dine in for the aesthetics and I'd recommend doing so as there's higher price point doesn't seem as worthwhile if you take these drinks to-go

We enjoyed the two charcuterie plates we got. The Petite Cheese board was a bit disappointing as there was only one cheese on it. We ordered a special cocktail "the persuasion," with earl grey vodka, calamansi, honey, and lemonade. It was good but a bit unbalanced. Too medicinal. Perhaps too much calamansi. My husband later ordered an old fashioned cocktail. It was good. For food we ordered the blue cheese dip, the pork chili verde & polenta, and a reuben sandwich. The food took a while to arrive. The server might have noted our anxiety because she asked if we had a show, noting the dip in particular might take a while. She was accommodating, bringing items out as they were prepared and supplying us with to-go boxes in case. The blue cheese dip came first. It came with potato chips and bread. It was tasty but a bit too salty. It was better with bread--the chips were a nice idea but it pushed the sodium level too high. Both entrees were delicious. We ate them in a rush (not everything got photographed). The atmosphere is nice. Perhaps a bit dated (i.e.,1990s), but nice. I think it would be a perfect date spot when you have the time to leisurely enjoy bites and drinks.
