While on jury duty, ran into an old neighbor (!) Also on jury duty. Both of us unfamiliar with the downtown area. In search of a warm, safe place to have a bite,we stumbled upon Bar Cicotti . Officially it's a wine and coffee bar but on Their menu we found some pasta dishes, sandwiches and even soup. Asher was our charming waiter. Even though we ultimately only ordered one sandwich to share and coffees, he treated us regally. It was so quaint and cozy.. so many details in the decorations. If you are ever downtown and need a sweet refuge, it is here!

Yes, yes, and yes. The food, wine, and ambiance will have you returning for more. The sandwiches are the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the Cicotti BLT, the Meatball sandwich, and the Truffle Grilled Cheese.

Is it a coffee shop? Is it a cafe? Is it a wine bar? It's all of the above. What a great addition to our downtown Bellingham area. First impression--lots of outside seating area. Second impression-- lots of wine bottles to try. Ordered their meatball subs ($7) with an order of their apple pudding and a cannoli. The sandwich was delicious but my favorite would be the dessert. Will definitely have to go back for another cannoli and this time with a cup of their roasted coffee. Would also love to check out a few of their wine by the glass selection. Their wine menu is the largest I have ever seen. They have over 30+ reds and about 30+ whites. I was told you could do a tasting before you order your wine of choice.

I had a fantastic cinnamon coffee and it was probably the best cup of coffee I have ever had. The service is great here and is more like a fine dinning experience than you would expect. The meatball sandwiches are amazing. It is spendy but worth it.

My girlfriend and I came the other night for drinks and some small bites, and this adorable spot was just up our alley! This small spot in the Whatcom Museum building has been transformed into an upscale eatery, without the upscale price tag. They do carry nicer wines if you are looking for this as well, but they had a very nice selection of wines at each price point. The waitress (dark hair, very sweet) had good recommendations off of the menu and was very helpful. We got the formaggio platter with 3 large slabs of cheese, dark bread and some nuts and honey which paired well with the wine. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Had the pleasure of trying several food choices here and all were absolutely delicious! My favorite was the meatball sandwich. It looked a bit small but it actually was super filling. Highly recommend! I also tried the deviled eggs and a cannoli and both were very tasty. I'm definitely excited to go back and try more food items, especially their coffee! The place is a bit tight. It's more of a quick bite vibe than a dinner sit down. Only disappointment was when I walked in I stood at the door for a minute confused as to where to pick up an order. As you walk in there is a sign to wait to be seated, so I waited. After a minute of realizing I wasn't getting acknowledged I had to ask where to pick up my food even though there were 2 gentleman standing behind the counter that clearly saw me. Their were also 2 gals yet they were exceptionally attentive and sweet. No complaints there! I'm big on customer service and it may be because they're a newer business but definitely something worth improving. Hopefully my next visit will be better! :)

The food was amazing and when you're done eating your food, you always can stop by the museum. And the service was amazing. The food came so fast like say the waiter was the flash that's how fast it was. And the vibe of this place was amazing like everything was amazing. They have beautiful lights everywhere. The tables are perfect and if you like sit in that like a bar, they got a perfect bar outside in the sun. went with my mother for happy hour!

Stopped in for a quick lunch before we hit the border to head home. This place is truly a hidden gem next to / kind of in the same building as the Bellingham Museum. I had the gnocchietti (I've probably spelled it wrong) and it was absolute bliss. The serving sizes were fairly large too, so I have lunch for the next day! Hubs had the Italian meatball sandwich & said it didn't disappoint. The bun was crispy on the outside & soft and chewy on the inside. The Italian meatballs were spiced to perfection. I'd definitely add the place to my list of go-to spots anytime I'm in the area! It's not quite patio season, but I can't wait to enjoy their courtyard! Our server was lovely, and very attentive. The overall vibe of this place is spot on.

Not only were the cocktails delicious and intriguing, the food delectable, and the atmosphere spectacular. The service was beyond words. Anna was a wonderful server as well as a different server who helped when I asked for something, but additionally I spoke to a bartender who provided great recommendations for my father. It's been a long time since I've seen one this creative and extensive. If I wasn't worried about falling over, I probably would have ordered one of everything . I had the Song of the Siren, which was a perfect balance of sweet and tart without being too sweet. I especially loved the hint of white balsamic vinegar. It was surprisingly strong though, so one was plenty! My husband had Le Tigre, which had guava, passionfruit, pineapple, lime and Thai chili tincture. It had just a touch of spice and a really interesting combination of flavors. We both loved our drinks. For food, we started with the ribs and then ordered the pork belly bao buns and the hot noodle dish. The ribs were cooked really well and had a wonderful crispy/fried texture, but they were very lightly seasoned. If you really want to taste the meat, you'll probably love them. For us, they could have used a little something extra. A couple of fun dipping sauces, maybe something like a honey gochujang, would have made them amazing. Our waitress, who was extremely friendly, told us the hot noodles are one of their favorites. They weren't quite for us. There was definitely lots of flavor, but the sauce was pretty rich and dense and the dish had a good amount of spice. We each had about a bite and ended up packing the rest to take home. It sounds like it's a popular dish though, so I think this one is probably just personal preference. The absolute highlight was the pork belly bao buns. I was a little worried pork belly might mean a lot of heavy fat, but these were much more meat-forward, with the perfect crispness around the outside. The flavors were phenomenal and the bao itself was perfectly cooked. Definitely order these! Overall, really good food, wonderful service and one of the most interesting cocktail menus I've seen in a long time. We'll definitely be back.

If you love wine and food, this is THE place in town…read more My girlfriend and I had a date night out. We came here mostly for a charcuterie plate, but it turned out to be least impressive. However, we were both very pleased with the small plates that we shared: "asparagus" and "potatoes" with caviar. SMALL PLATES The asparagus looked like a salad but was a bit warm to our surprise. I enjoyed the different flavors put together, including some bitterness. My absolute favorite is the potatoes. We ordered it with caviar, which only cost $8 extra! CHARCUTERIE We ordered the imported charcuterie board for 2. It was presented nicely, but there was nothing to brag about other than that. The amount of food was right for 2, but it's because there's lot of bread but there's little cheese and cured meat. The quality of the cheese and the meat was just ok. COST We were shocked how inexpensive it was. We ordered 2 small plates, a charcuterie board for 2 people, a bottle of Spanish wine, a slice of olive oil cake, and 2 coffees. It all added up to only about $100. It's shocking as it includes a bottle of wine. The coffee was pour over, and they made one cup at a time, but it was only $3! CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM The small plates were excellent, but the charcuterie plate needs more work. There should be more cheese and meat both in terms of the quantity but also the variation (and less bread). CONCLUSION I will definitely come back here again for wine and a couple of small plates. ************************************************************ If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button! Sidewalk seating was constructed with tables separated be plywood walls with individual heaters, but safely open on the sides. A canopy overhead protects patrons from the rain. We ordered a special cocktail "the persuasion," with earl grey vodka, calamansi, honey, and lemonade. It was good but a bit unbalanced. Too medicinal. Perhaps too much calamansi. My husband later ordered an old fashioned cocktail. It was good. For food we ordered the blue cheese dip, the pork chili verde & polenta, and a reuben sandwich. The food took a while to arrive. The server might have noted our anxiety because she asked if we had a show, noting the dip in particular might take a while. She was accommodating, bringing items out as they were prepared and supplying us with to-go boxes in case. The blue cheese dip came first. It came with potato chips and bread. It was tasty but a bit too salty. It was better with bread--the chips were a nice idea but it pushed the sodium level too high. Both entrees were delicious. We ate them in a rush (not everything got photographed). The atmosphere is nice. Perhaps a bit dated (i.e.,1990s), but nice. I think it would be a perfect date spot when you have the time to leisurely enjoy bites and drinks.
