A consistently reliable go-to for me. Pleasant atmosphere, lovely and helpful staff, delicious food--great Happy Hour prices! My favorite of the evening was the prawn cocktail--this isn't your typical tiny shrimp soaking in red sauce in a fluted ice cream Sunday glass. Noooooooo. Fat gorgeous and juicy prawns laid down on swirls of very delicious sauce, served with a little side of arugula. Not to be too under-prawned, I also ordered the prawn farro salad. This, too, was a lovely preparation. I didn't enjoy it as much as I found the dressing on the farro a bit sweet for my taste--but I can change it up to an aioli or mignonette or something other upon request which will be perfect. The wonderful Gillian invented two n/a mocktails for me: a watermelon, basil spritz that was delightfully refreshing and an n/a Piña Colada--as they were out of pineapple juice, she substituted orange juice which I actually liked even better! Best happy hour! This place is usually low key and you can get a seat pretty easily. Great service. I really like the outdoor seating with the fire pits, heaters, and some tvs to watch the games. Went to B-Town for lunch with my Boo!! I was having a hankering for oysters so that's what I started with. They were delicious and Briney! Just how I love em! I also had The Classic Burger carnivore style(I choose to get carbs from beer, don't judge ) it was delicious and the chef went above and beyond for me. Took my niece to B-Town for lunch.. The food was amazing.. exceeded my expectations. The Bulgogi Beef Bowl was so tasty. I had the kimchi on the side so that it wouldn't be too spicy.. My niece had the mixed greens salad.. the berries were so fresh and sweet. I also really enjoyed the service. Our server even brought me a classy container of iced tea, so that I wouldn't run out! Staying at the hotel(4 Points) we decided to get a quick bite before heading out for the night. The server was very friendly. Though I believe she was the only one on a Friday afternoon with a convention. She was very attentive for as busy as she was. We proceeded to order a couple HH items. We picked two tacos(blackened salmon and ahi tuna), Crispy Brussel Sprouts, and a sushi roll(that I can't find anywhere on their menus). Both tacos were great. Both had a spice though. My wife ended up ordering an additional Ahi taco with no jalapeño. The Brussel Sprouts were ok. Good flavor but the "crispy" was not there. They were doused in oil. The sushi we ordered I remember sounded good, and it probably would have been more my jam if it didn't have this sweet sauce on it. There were a couple hits and a couple misses. The server we had was great and the food served it purpose at the time, but I don't know that we'd be a repeat customer if we were here again. But do try the tacos! read more

Disappointing. Stopped in for a light dinner after a fun filled day. Ordered a salmon taco, which was good, but had only one 2 inch piece of salmon, much skimpier than the picture I saw on a review. Ordered a cup of coconut curry soup, but received the seafood chowder instead, which was pretty tasteless. After a very long wait we got the correct soup, but it was the same texture, and equally bland, with a faint taste of curry, no taste of coconut, and heavy chili oil. It was so late by then, we got it to go, but in truth, neither my husband nor I could eat it, so we threw it away. This was nothing like Thai coconut curry soup, so if you like that, don't order this! Sub-par food, slow service. Hoping this was just a bad day for this restaurant, and that others have a better experience. read more

I've been to B-Town numerous times. Our group almost always sits outside in the large covered patio, rain or shine. It is surprisingly comfortable and is definitely one of the drawing points of this restaurant. They often change their HappyHour menu... sometimes good, sometimes not-so-good. BUT, their food is very good (However, I don't always agree with their pricing). Their is service exceptional. We usually have 10-17 people in our group and the service people are always smiling, chipper and attentive. We are mostly couples and we do not sit next to each other. Yet, somehow, miraculously, they keep all the individual tabs separate and accurate. Bravo! I enjoy our monthly visit here. read more

For the first time in 45 years, we decided to ditch the holiday cooking and go to a restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner. We chose B-Town because they had reservations available on OpenTable. I would have never known about them otherwise since I was coming up from the Seattle area. Let me just say that everything about our meal was excellent. We had four adults and two children, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had a children's menu available (that wasn't listed on the website and almost deterred up from going). We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The ambience was beautiful with modern decor, a fireplace on the patio, and nice lighting throughout. We started off with cocktails and appetizers, as we got there while it was still Happy Hour. We ordered the soy ginger chicken wings, the coconut shrimp (more like a Thai curry shrimp - not what we pictured but still very good),, and the Parmesan Truffle fries with aioli. All of it came out quickly, hot, perfectly cooked, high-quality and delicious. We order the Salmon Banh Mi Bowl, Ahi Poke, Ahi Steak, and the kid's chicken strips and fish and chips. Other than the Ahi steak, the portions were large and we had leftover. For $10, the kids entrées were a steal. I loved my salmon, and my husband loved his Ahi steak. The Ahi was more of a lighter fare meal served just with greens, but I had so much fried rice with my meal that I could easily give him a large serving of it. We all raved about how good everything was. Finally, our server was excellent. She got everything right. She kept our waters full, she was kind and funny and helpful. I wish I could remember her name. She was the ultimate professional when my elderly dad wouldn't stop talking and she was clearly busy. All in all, our experience was top-notch. Don't think of this place as your usual hotel restaurant that you expect to be average. This place is a gem. Super great find. read more

We were tired from a very long drive, and didn't feel like leaving the hotel. So we took a chance at the B-Town restaurant that is attached to the hotel. We were seated immediately at an inside booth. Next time we might sit in the covered patio outside which looked very comfortable. We were offered drinks as soon as we sat down. Our waitress Sam was very friendly and gave us excellent suggestions. I was torn between the mixed greens salad and the Baja tacos, and Sam resolved my dilemma by offering a combo plate of a small salad and one taco. Hubby ordered the fish and chips. The food was excellent. Fish was cooked perfectly- Not greasy, tender. Fries were yummy. Overall a great experience. We will definitely return. read more

We didn't realize this place was in a hotel until we got here. We were just searching for a place to stop for lunch on the drive from Seattle to Vancouver. Overall, we enjoyed the lunch. The menu had a lot of items that appealed to us. It was a shame it took 35 minutes from ordering to get our lunch. And there was only one other occupied table in the restaurant. I really enjoyed the ahi tacos. My other enjoyed his burger. The fries were wonderfully crispy, but we paid to upgrade to truffle fries, and you could not taste the truffle. We did brunch with friends here last weekend. We had heard good things and were excited to try it out. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We were here two nights in a row for a wedding weekend and the bartender was absolutely fantastic (Mark) - I'm not sure if he still works there but I hope so. We had a large group and drank A LOT. Some people ordered food but I never had any. Supposedly their oyster happy hour is wonderful. I really liked their cocktails. When I was tired of drinking, Mark was very nice and let me enjoy more gummy bears on their own. While traveling in Bellingham, I wanted to expletive as many of the local gems as I could. This one hit it out of the park! I only tried the raw bar menu, and had the Smoked Salmon Roll, which was scrumptious. It had generous portions of salmon, and was paired well with cucumber, cream cheese, avocado, wasabi aioli, sweet soy and tobiko. I was fortunate enough to sit next to the raw bar and engaged the chef in conversation. At his recommendation I also ordered Salmon Tartare which was something I've never ordered before. Turned out I had nothing to fear! Just like the roll, the different textures and flavors were well balanced and a treat for my taste buds. It was evident he enjoyed preparing the different dishes. This will be on my "must visit again" list next time I'm in Bellingham. read more

As I was waiting on my food I peeked out to the patio and I was sorry that I was too tired to go and eat in house but that patio is outstanding!!! So on to the food the crab cakes were very tasty and the crab was fresh crab, there were reasonably sized for the price. But that sauce on the side DANG it was very tasty tasty like sauce you just want to eat by itself. This is my favorite hangout spot! My friends and I eat at the outdoor firepits and it feels like hanging out in a living room on those comfy couches! This restaurant is located in the Four Points Sheraton where we were staying. We decided to have happy hour with our pup on the patio one evening -- it was a bit chilly but fortunately there were some fire-pits to help keep warm. There are also some TV's out there for the sports enthusiasts. A bit of a roar from the freeway nearby, but not too bad. There is a good selection of beers and the appetizers were pretty good too. Letter I sent (to avoid leaving a 1 star review) and got no reply: My book club met at B-Town yesterday. I was pleased by the initial atmosphere and the food I saw other people eating looked good, so I was planning on telling my husband and coming back sometime. As it was, I couldn't stay the whole evening. I was there about two hours. I ordered a beer, and the waitress never came back so at the time I had to leave, my bill was pretty light. I went inside to pay for my drink. Three employees were behind the bar, including my waitress. There was only one table of customers inside, and three tables of customers outside. The staff behind the bar were cleaning things. I told them I wanted to pay for my beer, and the waitress knew what it was (which impressed me) and I gave her my credit card. I tipped over 20% even though I hadn't been asked if I wanted anything else, and while I was signing the slip, one of the women behind the bar said in a snarky voice, "So they're all paying separate tabs?" Then she said, "That sucks." I actually didn't immediately realize she was talking about me. That would have been too rude. After I signed (and tipped) I waved to the waitress and said, "Thanks!" but she ignored me. So, I tried again, tried waving at all of them, and said, "Thanks" even louder. They all ignored me, and wouldn't look at me, and that was when I realized that the snarky comments were about me (I was inconveniencing them by paying separately.) I was bothered by this because it was rude the way the woman was openly trying to shame me ... for PAYING my bill. Even though it was a small tab, I wished I hadn't left a tip. A tip is supposed to be for good service, not for being treated rudely. While it wasn't the waitress who made the rude comments, she went along with the rude woman, and helped to make me regret the experience. Prior to that, though, my waitress had been pleasant, albeit inattentive. We all think snarky thoughts sometimes, but it stinks that someone in the hospitality sector would have these kinds of thoughts. People in hospitality should be hospitable, and, especially if they want a tip, they should be wanting to make the customer happy. While this isn't always possible, I don't think that separating the check is that big of an inconvenience when the place isn't even busy. Is this what hospitality has come to now? It would have been easier for me to post my complaint all over the internet, leaving 1 star reviews, but I didn't want to do that to you. I wanted to give you a chance to talk to your staff and encourage healthier attitudes toward customers, and, if the bartender or whoever is having a bad day and some (unwarranted) snarky thoughts enter her mind about a customer, ask her to keep them to herself ... at least until the customer is out of earshot, instead of doing the worst thing possible by trying to shame an innocent patron in front of others. ... To the Director: If you read this, please let me know if you staff have been told not to be rude to customers. It sounds like something that doesn't need to be said ... but, clearly, it does. I don't want to go back there, and I will keep sharing my story with others unless I know that this is not going to happen again. read more
