I read about the pizza in the Seattle Times and it lived up to the hype. One of the best in town.

A coffee shop x cocktail bar in Bellingham with creative drinks overall. This place is best for…read morelarger groups as there is limited seating in the sense that there are a few tables that seat 6+ people easily, but we went around 3pm when it wasn't busy so we didn't feel guilty taking one of the larger tables to ourselves when it was only half occupancy. We tried the bioluminescence drink and the toasty marshmallow latte. The bioluminescence drink is very aesthetic and drinks like a soda / energy drink, though it is a one and done for me as I don't feel the sparkles are the most healthy thing. The toasty marshmallow latte was a bit pricy at $7.50 but they had 3 pieces of toasted marshmallow that is perfect (s'mores like but not burnt) and there is a lot of drink. It was on the sweeter side for me. They have Cinnamon Toast Crunch on the side but it was a bit stale, but I won't be docking off a star as there's not much to it and everything else was delicious. We opted to dine in for the aesthetics and I'd recommend doing so as there's higher price point doesn't seem as worthwhile if you take these drinks to-go

If you love wine and food, this is THE place in town…read more My girlfriend and I had a date night out. We came here mostly for a charcuterie plate, but it turned out to be least impressive. However, we were both very pleased with the small plates that we shared: "asparagus" and "potatoes" with caviar. SMALL PLATES The asparagus looked like a salad but was a bit warm to our surprise. I enjoyed the different flavors put together, including some bitterness. My absolute favorite is the potatoes. We ordered it with caviar, which only cost $8 extra! CHARCUTERIE We ordered the imported charcuterie board for 2. It was presented nicely, but there was nothing to brag about other than that. The amount of food was right for 2, but it's because there's lot of bread but there's little cheese and cured meat. The quality of the cheese and the meat was just ok. COST We were shocked how inexpensive it was. We ordered 2 small plates, a charcuterie board for 2 people, a bottle of Spanish wine, a slice of olive oil cake, and 2 coffees. It all added up to only about $100. It's shocking as it includes a bottle of wine. The coffee was pour over, and they made one cup at a time, but it was only $3! CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM The small plates were excellent, but the charcuterie plate needs more work. There should be more cheese and meat both in terms of the quantity but also the variation (and less bread). CONCLUSION I will definitely come back here again for wine and a couple of small plates. ************************************************************ If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button! We enjoyed the two charcuterie plates we got. The Petite Cheese board was a bit disappointing as there was only one cheese on it. The individual items on the boards were all good and the whole thing was a great value. I would definitely stop here again.

We ordered a special cocktail "the persuasion," with earl grey vodka, calamansi, honey, and lemonade. It was good but a bit unbalanced. Too medicinal. Perhaps too much calamansi. My husband later ordered an old fashioned cocktail. It was good. For food we ordered the blue cheese dip, the pork chili verde & polenta, and a reuben sandwich. The food took a while to arrive. The server might have noted our anxiety because she asked if we had a show, noting the dip in particular might take a while. She was accommodating, bringing items out as they were prepared and supplying us with to-go boxes in case. The blue cheese dip came first. It came with potato chips and bread. It was tasty but a bit too salty. It was better with bread--the chips were a nice idea but it pushed the sodium level too high. Both entrees were delicious. We ate them in a rush (not everything got photographed). The atmosphere is nice. Perhaps a bit dated (i.e.,1990s), but nice. I think it would be a perfect date spot when you have the time to leisurely enjoy bites and drinks.

The beer selection was stellar and my group tried the german lager and the Scotch ale with applause. Food: I ordered a pretzel and it was HUGE. Fed 3 of us and the mustard was surprisingly amazingly good - definitely exceeded expectations. On top of that, there is free popcorn at this joint which is was fresh, tasty and unlimited. Service: the staff was outstanding. Friendly, smiling, ready to serve up samples without an attitude and knowledgeable about their product. Ambiance: loved it. There was some college football on which was watch-able but not too distracting and the variety of high-tops, couches, and regular tables was a nice mix. We opted for the couch-chair combo and they were comfy and not worn out.

They have a nice selection of taps (including more than just beer), some vintage video games, and offer live music regularly. On our most recent visit, we found one of our fave local musicians, Michael Dayvid, playing and managed to snag a cozy seat in the front row. We sipped our pints (I got an amber, Dude got an IPA) and enjoyed the show - right after a rousing game of Pac Man, of course. This is large space, so there's seating in the back if you don't want to be front row for the music. The service is friendly, too. Parking can be a little challenging, as it's only street parking, but it's not too bad. In a town that has a lot of breweries, but could use a few more cozy taphouses, Corner Taphouse fills a niche (especially in the Fairhaven area). I hope they continue to thrive!
