Love this place! Best chicken in Ogden! F you haven't had the chicken here you're missing out.

Every time I drive through there is always something missing. Tonight I had ordered a side of guacamole but it was missing. I drove back with my receipt and told her they didn't give me the guacamole and she said are you sure? So I said would I have driven back here if I had gotten it? She went and got the manager, the manager said I know I put that guacamole in your bag. So we sat there and argued back-and-forth for a good five minutes. I even offered to bring her to my house so she could see. I would've been fine if they had just given me my guacamole, but they had to argue with me. That's a really pissy customer service. I won't be going back there again. And then I come back to my cold tacos and they tasted like burnt oil. For sure I'll never go back there again. Went there one evening around 530 and then informed me they were out of chicken unbelievable read more

El Pollo Loco has decent food and good flavor. I used to work near an El Pollo Loco and it was in my rotation. I quite like their grilled chicken tacos and nachos. I really like the spice rub on their chicken. Sometimes customer service isn't the best, but it is fast food. read more

This was my first time trying el Pollo Loco and I was actually pretty impressed with it for fast food. Is it some amazing Mexican restaurant? No, but it's a nice change from Taco Bell. I had a chicken quesadilla with chips and a drink. The quesadilla was delicious but a little skimpy on the chicken and cheese. It was nice that it was actually shredded chicken and not some canned chicken that I'd serve to a cat. The green salsa that I got with it was so good! I'll go back just for the salsa. It's funny, when it comes to fast food restaurants yelper's typically only give reviews when they have a bad experience. I love El Pollo Loco chicken and it's usually a winner every time I go. On this visit, I asked for a three-piece combo and was helped by Nancy. She was extremely polite and when I asked her for extra juicy chicken, she made it a point to fill my request. This was by far the best El Pollo chicken I've ever experienced. This place was very clean and well kept. Thank you, Nancy for the terrific service. I don't live around here, so I probably will never be back, but hopefully this helps folks that are looking for a good place to have lunch or dinner. read more

I thought it was going to be good but when I saw it I knew it wasn't going to be good. i ordered a burrito and they put a square of greasy cheese on it and it peeled off when i cut it open. the beans were also really cold like they had just come out of the freezer or something. the service also wasn't great at all. read more

I keep giving this el pollo location chances and chances again. The manager said the cilantro dressing was made by a new employee which is why it didn't come out good. That's not really an excuse especially when they had me swipe my card for .67 cents for watery nasty dressing. All drinks were out due to "change soda" "ask cashier" besides a couple. Food came out fairly quickly which is nice. Hopefully the get it together , trying to put water in recipes to stretch the amount of product to last or make food cost is definitely a concern. read more

Honestly want to write a review for everyone that works at this location because everyone here is just so so sweet and welcoming! We come pretty close to closing time and have never felt like we're bothering them or being annoying with ordering! They always welcome us with a smile and quick service! Today Edwardo was cleaning around the restaurant and noticed we wanted to order an extra thing and immediately helped us! We also tried the churros today and honestly for a fast food restaurant these really do taste like the real thing! So for sure recommend them for anyone who's wondering! Comically bad, like so so bad. I really kept giving this place a chance because I'm like, hey, a sorta cheap salad! But every time it's a dumpster fire. One time I waited 15 minutes, several employees walked by, checked the computer, walked away, looked directly at me, ignored me. Every time I go through the drive thru they mumble rudely at me. They just do not want to help, I'm concerned and I hope they are okay, because they certainly act like they're not. The grilled chicken flavor and choice of sides is good, but I loved this Crazy Chicken better when a few years ago you could get the family-sized guacamole and chips; and when the chicken was consistently juicy and filling. These days some of the pieces they give you in a meal can look like they came from Cornish game hens. Or worse the chicken can sometimes be too dry (even if good flavored). read more

Yes, this is a diner. I am not a diner fan, but this one is an exception. The place is clean as it gets. service at the counter was splendid. Food was simply awesome. Prices are fair and the food was ample. Two sides come with the meals with plenty to pick from. One fellow was out making certain everything was clean and tidy and asked if there was anything he could do, like an extra plate or something to make us comfortable. This is a great way to cook chicken. There is a little ambience, which is not usual for a diner. Will we be back? Yer durn tootin'! Where are these folks coming from who give this place a poor review? I saw NONE of what anybody was bellyaching about. Maybe they had bear meat for breakfast. read more

This place is pretty good the only downside that I've ever seen when I've gone there is that everything is so incredibly hot, the macaroni and cheese that I had I could meet at the time the black beans that I had I couldn't eat at the time and every side as I order it I have not been on able to eat anytime I order it as it is like still boiling hot. But the grilled chicken is incredibly moist and it's incredibly good and they have a very good menu and the staff is always been very nice and I very much enjoy how they come in they offer you wipes in Manson come around and check on you to see how you doing multiple times as that is I am greatly appreciated it's just I wish that the sides weren't so incredibly hot like you could probably peel paint with the heat of the sides when you get them read more

Tables were dirty, the floors looked like they hadn't been swept all day and the garbage cans were overflowing. I probably won't return. If they don't bother to keep it clean where the customer can see I cannot imagine what it looks like where the customer can't see. Scary thought. Just my opinion. Well...not that good in my opinion. I ordered a double chicken salad with no cheese. Where do I start? The chicken, it was tasty, I'll give them that. The lettuce in the salad tasted just like cheap bagged lettuce. The tomatoes in the pico seemed old, and there was some cheese in my salad which no doubt came from pieces falling into the lettuce as cooks reach across. I tried it and have no desire to return, it wasn't that good. I will say that the gal at the window was extremely nice. She's an asset to the company. read more

This is a Mexican fast food place that specializes in chicken-based dishes, which should be obvious from the name. The variety of dishes they offer isn't great, however, and none of the dishes I've had were ones I could eat in the car. You should expect to spend about $7-10 per person. -1 Star because it's fast food but it can't be eaten on the go, and -1 Star because they messed up my order once and forget to take out the avocado. read more

Corporate is killing these guys. Every time they do a special through their app, it screws up on the app and when you go to collect it you have to pay again because the employees can't fix the mischarge on your app. This has happened 3 times in a row now. You can even see in on their faces that this has happened a lot to them and customers are frustrated. So I'm done going there for lunch or dinner. I erased their app and will no longer frequent any of their restaurants. Corporate is hurting their local restaurants. read more

It has been a while since I have eaten in one of these places. For the longest time the nearest one was down in Lehi. Before that the last time I ate at an El Pollo Loco was when we lives in San Pedro, CA. Yes, the menu has changed over the years to keep up with the changing times. The chicken is still pretty good. Love the crispy skin, though my doctor disagrees with me on eating it. Probably need to make more trips here now that they are much closer so I can try other menu items. read more
