There are a lot of things on the menu, but we always come back to the Double Chicken Tostada Salad. It's one of those meals that somehow feels fresh, filling, and satisfying every single time. The fire-grilled chicken is flavorful, the lettuce is crisp, and the beans, rice, cheese, and pico all come together perfectly. Add a little avocado salsa, and it's hard to beat. One thing I really appreciate about El Pollo Loco is that it feels like a healthier fast-food option without sacrificing flavor. When you're craving something quick but don't want the usual burger and fries, this is an easy choice. If you've never tried the Double Chicken Tostada Salad, do yourself a favor and order it. It has become our go-to meal, and for good reason. read more

I ordered a taco salad and it was the highlight of my day. The taco shell was crunchy, the chicken was moist and delicious and the salsa was amazing. The customer service was friendly and swift considering it was lunch time and the restaurant was clean. read more

Fresh food, very clean establishment and excellent service thanks to professional management. I have been a customer for over 15 years.

1.20.24: This evening I was craving a tostada salad and hit the drive-thru before the dinner rush. I ordered the double chicken tostada salad and it was pretty fresh and hot. The tostada shell was light and airy and not thick or hard, where sometimes it stabs your mouth or gums lol. The chicken had a good grill on it and it was still tender. The greens were crisp and visually fresh. The beans and rice were proportionate to the amount of greens given as well. Oh and hiding under the chicken and pico, there were 3 big slices of an avocado! My favorite is to get the avocado salsa as my dressing because it gives it that good kind of kick that's not overly spicy. Service was prompt and they spoke clearly, which is always a plus going through the drive-thru. read more

El Pollo Loco has remained a consistently good place to visit when you're in the mood for tummy filling Mexican style food. The service has always been friendly & quick. The restaurant has personnel continually cleaning the dining room & counters. In the last 35 years, they have maintained their classic dishes & continue to introduce new family menu items. They offer senior discounts, weekly coupons & serve Coca-Cola products. These are locally owned franchises. Give them a try !! read more

When we first came to Reno in July of 2020 we stumbled on this Pollo Loco and had an amazing experience, so we kept eating there quite a bit. The quality was amazing and the portions were always generous, at a fantastic price. After the second year things started to change, we don't know why but the food went downhill rapidly, the prices almost doubled and the coupons disappeared. The portion sizes also shrunk! New things came on the menu but we tried sticking with what we liked it just wasn't the same. We started having bad experiences at the takeaway window with our orders, such as not including everything we ordered yet were charged. The Managers were always helpful and made sure we were refunded or given the items that were missing, however between the quality dropping so much and the price hikes we just stopped going. We haven't been back to this Pollo Loco in years but I wanted to voice my opinion and rate our experience for others, so that they may know more about it this location. It also has a very high turnover of employees as well. read more

The best el pollo loco location I have ever been to, the manager is doing a great job, their food is always so hot and fresh no matter what time you go. read more

The only fast food I'll eat besides an occasional in an out burger. Only issue is they often get the order wrong so check your bag!

During this difficult time, my family very much misses the dining out experience. We find we do not savor the same food the same way as when we were able to dine out. We have wanted to and do support our local businesses. Surprisingly, we find that our most enjoyable take out is El Pollo Loco! We purchased their $25 Family Meal. 12 pieces chicken, 3 sides, tortillas and salsa. Not exactly fine dinning but all tasted delicious, the chicken is always thoroughly cooked and healthy to boot! I also ordered their protein bowl that included chicken, avocado, mixed greens, creamy cilantro dressing, etc. really delicious and I will be going back to reorder especially this protein bowl. Note, watch for the coupons in the Sunday later to receive this dinner for just $20. Will add photos next time, I was overcome with hunger so no photos! read more

I order and pick up from here a lot. I'm obsessed with the tostada bowls. I've gotten a few other things off the menu and have always enjoyed it. The staff is always so friendly and I always enjoy the atmosphere here. read more

I come to this restaurant quite often. We often have just two chicken breasts, which helps with my keto lifestyle, but my wife enjoys having their chicken bowls and tacos. We had great service, they served promptly, and the food is quite inexpensive here. If you don't feel like cooking, this is your place. read more

El Pollo Loco has got to be the top Mexican style fast food chain around. The quality of their dishes has remained consistent over many, many years. The Double Chicken Tostada Salad is my favorite. Their Chicken Tortilla Soup is the best I have ever had! It is simmered all day and so delicious. read more

I love El Pollo Loco mainly for their chicken and healthy options so I was excited to try these Birria tacos which are one of my favorites. The tacos are about the same size as Jack in the box tacos-which are a little small-and they come stuffed with more cilantro and onions than meat. I was disappointed by the quality, mainly because we have so many good Mexican restaurants that serve this dish and do it so well. Also the box with the 2 small tacos, chips and salsa and a small drink comes out to about 12.00 which isn't much less than you can get this dish at a local restaurant. I still love El Pollo Loco-just won't be ordering these again. read more

This is definitely our go-to for juicy, flavorful chicken, and, even though it's considered fast food, a healthy option. We usually do the drive up and, during these trying times, it's the best way to go. We got the family mixed 10 piece with rice and black beans. comes complete with your choice of tortillas and salsa, enough for family or certain leftovers for singles or couples. The chicken itself is always delivered hot, juicy and the right combination of spices in their marinade, hard to duplicate at home. The service is friendly and your order is up usually when you hit the drive through window. Server wore mask an gloves, as were the other workers i could see through the window. El Pollo Loco has been in the dinner rotation for years and always delivers a consistent product at a reasonable price. read more

El Pollo Loco - 10 Piece mixed family meal - Mexican Near Me - Reno, Nevada

They are fast food: Mexican food and style rotisserie chicken which is eaten with tortillas. We had the 2 piece chicken and opted for rice and bean sides. The chicken was a little dry but not bad. The rice and beans had little taste. They need a new formula for those. Additionally, we got the shredded chicken quesadilla combo meal; quesadilla was little salty but not bad. It had tortilla chips and a soft drink. Overall, it was ok. I'd get it again when looking for some fast food with a flair. read more

The food is good and the people are nice the chicken avocado stuffed quesadilla is crazy good for fast food

I usually go through the drive-thru and get the Tacos al Carbon almost every time. Every time they have been good. It's a fast food restaurant. I'm not looking for the most amazing Mexican food of all time here. The tacos satisfy. When I get the burritos, the burritos satisfy. The salsa could be better seasoned, but again -- it's El Pollo Loco. They are probably overworked and hating upper management because they are a fast food restaurant. Tis the life. Each time I have been there, they have been extremely friendly and fast. The food has tasted good. read more

Always a decent place to grab a bite to eat. I've never been disappointed by this brand or disrespected by any employees here. There menu is pretty simple, and the prices reflect the cost of living which may always be a pleasant surprise to people passing thru and perhaps even incentive to one day take up residence in this ever growing city. My gf loves the Ceaser bowl here (not on the menu, you have to ask for it) she gets it without the rice. So my appreciation goes out to this place and my heartfelt thanks goes out to the employees in this restaurant for being essential. Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing you again soon. read more

El Pollo Loco has always been a staple in our household since I was little and my dad was working a lot. But living in sparks my entire life, I didn't really frequent the Northwest Reno location too much. But now that my boyfriend lives in the Northwest, were always looking for something fast to grab to eat, that isn't going to break the bank, or our waistlines! Granted, El Pollo Loco is still fast food, but they have a lot of great healthy options and the entire menu has nutrition information listed on it. Their ingredients and preparation methods are a lot better than tor average fast food chain, as well. Recently, I got the tortilla soup, and I was actually blown away by the sheer size of the portion, the amount of chicken and vegetables in the soup, and how fresh and delicious it was. It was something I'd return their for, for sure. And for under $5 I was full from just the soup alone, leaving my chicken bowl for the next day(which was good but there were far too many beans in it and not enough avocado) Overall, the customer service at this particular location is quick and friendly, and their food quality and execution is always spot on! read more

Being a single mom, sometimes I want a break from the grind of cooking every night after putting in a long day at work. Fast food isn't great overall in my opinion, but El Pollo Loco makes delicious, healthy meals you can pick up in a snap! Their citrus marinated, grilled chicken is so amazing! The skin is crispy and caramelized and the meat is tender and tasty. Their family meals include 12 pieces of chicken, three large side dishes (mac and cheese, pinto beans, broccoli, etc), tortillas, and salsas of your choosing. We like to make little burritos out of our chicken and beans. If you prefer burritos, try the chicken avocado. Chicken, avocado, pinto beans, and a very tasty cabbage slaw. It's my favorite thing on the menu! Their guacamole is made fresh daily from real avocados. It's so yummy and pairs greatly with their freshly cooked, crispy, warm tortilla chips. Give this place a go whether you want a snack or need a family meal. Can't go wrong! read more

Unbelievable order taken by Hunter M got home and we only had half our order, not enough to feed our family, plus no tortilla shells or salsa as ordered. Very disappointed when you promised your family an out to eat and you get this very sad plus a rip off on charging us the full price. I have changed my review to 5 stars due to the amazing manager that called us and found the bag with our stuff and we can go pick it up!!! Maria thank you for saving our day !!!!! read more

I ate at El Pollo Loco on Prater in Sparks about 10 years ago, and haven't ate there since. The food was good, but an old low life lady brought her barking dog in and was feeding it under the table. I asked the manager why she wasn't asked to leave because it was unsanitary. He said he thought it was a service dog. I said a service dog has a vest that says it's a service dog, but he just didn't want to deal with the bum, so I left and never went back. You never know when you eat there if an unsanitary person has just left. read more

Chicken is tasty, but why, why when you go thru the drive through with a coupon for 5 legs and five thighs, you get home you have four thighs and six legs? Pay attention people. If you can't fill the order right at least let your customers know read more

Wanted some light and on the healthy side so went to the Mccarren and Mae Ann location. Ordered a double chicken tostada. Usually very good but this was disappointing. The chicken was way over cooked and tough. The pico was almost non existent. Usually the salad is great but this time was a disaster. Quality is what dl pollo has going for it but someone failed here in quality control. Our order was to go so we could say anything to a manager. read more

Great food and service is always on point . If I'm hungry I can always count on pollo loco to deliver !

Beware when going through drive thru. They might be closing the window so they could steal your card info

Freshly bbq'd chicken, freshly made tortillas srved fajitas style with great sides FAST...: whats not to love!

Friendly, clean, excellent food. My wife had the double chicken salad. I had chicken, pinto beans and coleslaw.

Came here through the drive in snd the person told me they had no more chicken. I decided to go in and inquire. Mind you it was around 830 pm. When I questioned them they said oh we meant it's not ready. I ended up waiting 15 minutes and left. Upon leaving a young man was locking the doors so no more patrons could come in and it wasn't even 850 pm. I called back at 910 pm to complain about the tough chicken and when is a salad just lettuce? I called and phone was providing a busy signal again and again. I guess they closed early - Wow! Im too through with El Pollo Loco! read more

I was very disappointed the last time I ordered from El Pollo Loco the dinner was the chicken was dry it looked like it had been over cooked and the delivery then whoever delivered it was sloppy I just like like he dropped it and then just pick it up and left it on my porch and I don't know I don't think I'll be buying delivery from them anymore very sad because he had a good season during Covid for me everything was good most of the time read more

Ate here the other day and got a nice load of plastic in my Burrito! I did not expect much more from a restaurant that can't tell time. When you sign says you open at 11:00 open at 11:00 not 11:04 while everyone stands outside the door and stares in at you. Totally incompetent! No customer service . Went to this "El Pollo Loco" location today, and I ordered the chicken avocado quesadilla I always order and a drink. The chicken avocado quesadilla was great but when I got home and was done eating, I dumped my drink down the sink and found that there were 2 pieces of beans and something else in there that I couldn't figure out what it is INSIDE my rasberry iced tea. There aren't any beans in the quesadilla or anything close to the other black thing in my quesadilla mind you. So this must've been put in my drink or somehow made it's way in there. Gross read more
