Okay, I've come to the conclusion that El Mañanero just might be the best breakfast burrito in Midtown West. Indeed, it seems to have gotten better each of the three times I've had one. In my earlier review, I was somewhat skeptical of the thick, chewy Mexican cheese in the burrito. Let me just say that I was DEAD WRONG: that cheese is the bomb dot com. It's perfect. It's amazing. The sauce they put in this burrito is one-of-a-kind. You will not find a mañanero anywhere else. Whether you work in the area or are just passing through, this is a spot worth checking out. They've also got coffee and pastries, bagels, whole nine yards for breakfast. Lunch menu also exists.

Amazing breakfast burritos and really nice guys who work there. Fast service, really well priced food, and friendly people! Burritos are loaded with chorizo, stretchy cheese, potatoes, egg. It was the perfect ratio of protein:cheese:carb, a ton of generous portions of meat and just flavorful and tasty overall. If you're in the area this is a great spot for a quick breakfast. They have a number where you can call ahead to place a pick up order. Accept cash and PayPal, Zelle, Cashapp.

Great food, price and location. Had the breakfast tacos and husband had the traditional platter. Green sauce was perfect!

The whipped ricotta was great, a good balance of sweet and even some spice on tasty bread. The mushroom pizza was tasty as well. I got the heritage pork chop, and it felt a little magical. I've only had a couple of times enjoying pork chops - this one seems like it should be tough, but somehow it works? I don't know how to explain it. The sausage and sauce somehow complemented the dish. I got a side of corn, which was not heavy at all, despite the macaroons. Not creamed corn at all; this was tasty too although not a must get. Finally, got the tiramisu again and despite the 4 of us sharing, there were still leftovers. I forgot how good it is here - full espresso flavor and the cream has more flavor and fullness.

We arrived at 5:30pm on a weekday for our reservation and to my surprise, almost every table was taken! They have a few locations throughout the city but the menus are more or less the same. I started with a Hugo Spritz which was light & refreshing but not the best I've had. We shared a Margherita Neopolitan Style Pizza which had a super thin & tender crust, fresh tomatoes and basil, and delicious cheese. Pretty solid start! The Whipped Ricotta was somehow better and I absolutely loved the creaminess of the ricotta along with the truffle honey. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts were charred beautifully and was a nice vegetable to have on the table. Even the Zucchini Fries were so well-made! They could be "prettier" but the flavor and crunch is definitely there. The rigatoni was so fantastic but the chicken parm itself could have been crispier and more seasoned. We ended with the Tiramisu for Two which is easily feeds 4 people. This is an absolute must to end the meal! I can see why this spot is so popular and glad I finally got to pop my LPB cherry!
