I inadvertently landed to this place cuz I couldn't find the other bagel place. It looks like your typical NYC bagel shop. They have a standard menu of breakfast classics. I got a jalapeño n cheese bagel with cream cheese. I wanted nothing else. Though the dude at the counter was nice. The inside dining area was dirty. For 8am... kinda early for a place to be that dirty. So I sat down, In a little area that was clean. I saw a typed out sign that said, Spend at least $10 to sit at the table... Woooo Chile... Who would spend $10 here?!! That's tacky. This isn't a full service diner. The cashier was ok with me, but was nasty with this other customer over something dumb. My bagel was decent. It tasted homemade. However, compared to Safeways bagels. Safeway wins. This place is a little like a tourist trap. Next time, I go to my bagel pit stop, a block away.

Everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese. NYC is supposed to LOAD their bagels!! This is a disgrace!

I've had a few breakfast sandwiches from here before. Today I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and it was NOT what New York is about!! So little cream cheese and the bagel wasn't fresh - for $5 this is a rip off!! The service is fast and they are quick to take care of the morning rush but for the price of the bagels they should be a better quality! Go down the block where there are a couple of other bagel spots that have fresh and authentic bagels from NYC

Been coming here for six or seven years, I have NEVER once been dissatisfied with any sandwich or breakfast here. It is a Manhattan NYC Staple. Highly recommend. Short wait times even with lines out the store!!!! Consistently consistent.

Four of us walked in and ordered four things, not expecting anything much since it was a small deli, but once we got our plates, we were absolutely caught off-guard. First, the visual. I mean, check out the visuals on those bagels! I've been to some high-end bagel shops in NYC, but these guys at Al's Deli did it better. Seond, the taste. Of course, visual means nothing if the taste doesn't back it up. At our first bites, all four of us came to an agreement that this place is a hidden gem. There are many delis in Manhattan, ranging from so-so to great. And this one, Al's Deli, certainly belongs with the best of them. Go and try if you pass by the area. 7th and 35th st.

All'Antico Vinaio means "to the ancient wine merchant" (Thanks, Google). I thought it would be…read morecloser to Italian for delicatessen like salumeria. This is in a ritzy part of town on 60th St between Madison Ave & Park Ave with Ferraris & Bentleys parked on the street, so you have to guess that the storefront rent must be astronomical. But oh, these gastronomical sandwiches are off the charts and can justify the price. Once you decipher the names of the sandwiches on the menu and see what's between the bread, you will want to try all of them. I settled on 2 finalists, but decided get both anyway. All sandwiches are made fresh with some of the best looking meats & ingredients I've ever seen! The L'Inferno brought images of Danté Alighieri's version of the Underworld to mind, but was a spicy hot masterpiece of sandwich art. The combination of thinly sliced roasted porchetta, nduja, spicy eggplant & arugula was fantastic! The fresh in-house baked focaccia took it even further. But I did learn something new today besides Italian pronunciation, which was that nduja (silent n) is a spicy sausage from Calabrese that's spreadable like butter. I gotta get me some of that stuff! The La Paradiso sounds like the third installment of Danté's Divine Comedy trilogy, but is a very mild, but tasty sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella & crushed pistachios in pistachio cream. The pistachio cream is a stroke of culinary genius and gives the sandwich an amazingly smooth texture & taste. The only part of the Divine Comedy missing from their menu is La Purgatorio and I do not want to find out what would go into that sandwich!

I got the La Paradiso which comes with Mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio cream, pistachio. The bread was fantastic. It was light, yet crispy and thin but thick enough that held everything together. The pistachio cream, cheese and meat ratio was just perfect. I honestly regret not downing 3 of these.

First time around we came in, got 2 Pinot Grecio for drinks, not bad wine goes well w the sandwiches. Sandwiches we tried, La Schiacciata del boss , soo good love the truffle cream next the La Goloza , such a great combo w the mortadella & pesto. Next time around we had La Toscana , another great sandwich w the salami, pecorino & truffle honey. & La paradiso very good as well with the mortadella, Stracciatella & pistachio cream. You gotta love the fresh ingredients & freshly baked focaccia it comes out pipping hot, that alone is mouth watering. Restaurant is small & can feel a bit cramped either while u wait or if u get lucky & get a seat. There's limited seating, quick service, price wise on the high side but the sandwiches are delicious , definitely worth a try this was a great find. But it turned out to be a fantastic meal and fully satisfied my endless craving for well-made soup dumplings. The scallion pancakes were excellent, too, crispy without being greasy and packed with scallions. I had seen a lot of reviews praising the General Tso's chicken, but I've honestly avoided the Chinese-American dish for years. Too often it's overly sweet with a heavy batter. Still, after seeing plate after plate come out to nearby tables, I decided to give it a try. What a surprise. It was a huge portion of fresh white meat chicken with a light coating and a perfectly balanced sauce, served piping hot. We couldn't finish it (knowing we had a big dinner later), but I kept going back for "just one more piece" more times than I'd like to admit. Reservations aren't accepted for parties of two, but in the late afternoon it wasn't busy at all, we walked right in with no wait. Would absolutely come back.

I have three big guys with me and sometimes quick lunches need to be more filling than fast food options, so we chose Alidoro's under Rockefeller Plaza. We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
