We selected El-Fi Homes to do our solar project because they were the most knowledgeable and complete contractor among those who we got bids from. Uday was able to provide in depth answers to all of my questions regarding solar power with battery backup, and was able to design a solution that provided whole home backup. Whole home backup is a feature that we really wanted as a part of our solution. The other vendors we worked with either could not provide it, or did not seem very knowledgeable about it, and wanted to charge exorbitant rates to provide it. All of the vendors we got bids from designed a system with solar panels and Enphase batteries, but only El-Fi was able to incorporate whole home backup into the solution without blowing our budget. We now have 20 solar panels, capable of producing 8.2 kW, configured in a micro-grid with three Enphase IQ 5P batteries that keep us running over-night, and in the event of a grid outage. Our motivation for this project was driven by a desire to consume cleaner energy and back up all our home's loads during power outages, all while reducing our carbon footprint. El-Fi Homes also connected us with a roofer who was able to do the necessary roof work to prep for solar panels at a very reasonable price. Once the roofing work was done and the permits were in place, El-Fi homes installed our system and got it working very quickly. All of the wiring and battery / panel / controller installations are very cleanly done, and the stucco and paint work is excellent. The El-Fi team are hard working and very professional The communication on project status and issues was consistently excellent. Uday kept me posted on progress daily, and throughout the entire project, and always responded to any questions or concerns I had immediately. We are very happy with our new solar and battery backup system, and are pleased to now be running our house (and charging our cars) from the sun, rather than from fossil fuels! read more

I was in a real jam after a painting mishap left my solar panels speckled with paint. We had EL-FI Homes do a whole-house energy upgrade at our Costa Mesa home: a main electrical panel upgrade, rooftop solar panels, an Enphase battery backup system, and a 4-ton heat pump for heating and AC. Our old panel was 67 years old and not up to code, and the house had no AC at all, so this was a big project. We were bracing for the headache of juggling an electrician, a solar installer, and an HVAC company, but EL-FI handled everything under one roof, including all the permits and inspections. Uday and Kunal were super proactive and walked us through every detail at each step, so we never felt out of the loop. Their pricing was great, and they used really high-quality equipment, like Enphase for the solar. Angel and Eric did most of the hands-on work and did a fantastic job. The biggest difference for us has been how much more comfortable the house is now, and it's a relief knowing the solar will be offsetting the cost of running the heat pump. If you're in Costa Mesa or anywhere in Orange County and looking into solar installation, battery storage, or a heat pump or AC install, especially if you need a panel upgrade to make it all happen, we'd definitely recommend EL-FI Homes. read more

"I recently hired EL-FI Homes for a main panel upgrade in my home, and I was thoroughly impressed with their service. From the beginning, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs. They faced a unique challenge with the stucco work around the panel, but they handled it with exceptional skill. Without hesitation, they returned to address the issue, ensuring the stucco was perfectly restored, matching the existing exterior seamlessly. Their dedication to getting the job done right, even if it means revisiting the site to ensure everything is perfect, really left a lasting impression on me. When we decided to explore the possibility of installing solar panels on our house, we obtained a quote from the most recommended solar companies online and the well-known ones. We were satisfied with the proposal and the plan. However, in the interest of due diligence, we reached out to Uday from ELFI Homes to seek a second opinion. It's always wise to consider multiple perspectives. To our delight, Uday managed to provide us with more power at the same price and with a lower interest rate. We engaged in a series of email exchanges to finalize the agreement, and my involvement in the process was minimal. Uday and his team took care of securing permits, handling the installation, coordinating with the power company, and managing all the necessary inspections. As someone with a busy schedule, this level of assistance was greatly appreciated. If you're in need of assistance, don't hesitate to contact Uday at EL FI Homes. They offer a good product, exceptional service, and excellent financing options. A definite thumbs up from us. read more

Uday and his team were responsive, friendly, and professional. I had an old SolarEdge inverter that errored out. SolarEdge sent me a replacement unit, but warned against me replacing it myself, so I called around and the best response (read: knowledgeable and within $ reason) was Uday. He and his team arrived early, was courteous to my sleeping newborn, and did the swap carefully and swiftly. I also hired them to clean my panels (25) and those were done thoroughly as well. Overall: great value, good service, honest team. In a time where 100 solar companies popped up and then most quickly disappearing within 5 years, it's a refreshing feeling to find someone who knows the solar industry and can service us into the future. Thanks El-Fi and Uday! read more

Uday and the team at El-Fi Homes put Solar on my Pops roof a few years ago right before NEM2.0 expired, and it was all very down to the wire; Uday and his team completed the project and passed inspection in time. So when I bought my house last year and knowing the tax credits were expiring, I wanted to put Solar + Storage at my new place. The roof company replaced the roof in December and Uday and his team installed the system with precision and speed to get it completed in only 2-3 days! Everything is working great, my electric bill is 75% less than they were a year ago, and getting ready to have them install a car charger. Couldn't be happier! And as a fellow contractor, I greatly appreciated the cleanliness of the site at the end of each day. read more
