Delicious Mexican dish! The grilled chicken with rice, black beans, and corn tortillas was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The prices are very reasonable, and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
Chili verde was bland and so were my wife's shrimp tacos . The beans were okay but they kinda had a soapy taste to them but not so bad that we didn't eat them. The good news is the chili relleno was delicious and worth having again. Place is nicely decorated and servers are nice.
We recently tried this new Mexican restaurant and came away thinking it has a lot of potential. The owners did a nice job remodeling the space. It has a clean, upscale feel, although it could use some artwork on the walls to make it feel a little warmer. We also noticed there was no background music playing, which made the dining room feel a bit quiet. Music would have really helped create a better atmosphere. This is definitely more of an upscale Mexican restaurant, and the prices reflect that. I had read other reviews mentioning huge portions, but we didn't find that to be the case. The serving sizes seemed pretty comparable to other Mexican restaurants. The complimentary salsa and queso were both very good. The quesa birria tacos whcih came with 3 not 2 tacos per the menu were flavorful, although I thought they had too much cilantro for my taste. My burrito was decent but fairly average. The shrimp salad was probably the biggest disappointment. The shrimp were overcooked, and the dressing tasted mostly like plain vinegar. One surprise was that both the rice and beans were quite spicy. We weren't expecting that, so it might be worth mentioning on the menu. We ordered two margaritas. The first was excellent, but the second was much sweeter, so there seemed to be some inconsistency in the preparation. Service was good throughout most of the meal, but when it came time to pay the bill, everyone seemed to go MIA. We waited quite a while before we could finally get our check. Overall, I think this restaurant has a lot of potential. It's nice to have an upscale Mexican restaurant in the area. We'll definitely give it a couple more tries and see if they work the kinks out because I think this could become a really great addition to the community. I would have given 3.5 stars but Yelp does not allow that. Hopefully after next visit I can increase the rating.
When you live a good number of years farm to table, in a Mexican household, you grow up on fresh homemade meals that no one can live up to. I have lived in Dublin for 11 years now and do not eat Mexican food here because it's hard to find it non-americanized. I mean there is a small spot I would go to for good Ceviche, but they stopped serving it. Hard to find good flavors throughout. Until, last night. I went to Dublins newest Mexican Tex-Mex restaurant and I was worried. The reviews aren't all amazing. But they do all mostly mention "soft opening", so what are we doin guys! Soft opening is a way for a new establishment to work out the kinks. So leave feedback, not complaints. They have Big beautiful bar, plenty of dining space. Amazing music, not too loud. And very friendly runners, servers and we spoke with the manager twice, I rarely see a management table touch these days. My Feed back: experience starts at the door. Hostess, even though new and some training , biggest notice was, no smiles, quiet and unsure of where they were going. Smile more, you set the tone for how we, the customers, take in our next encounters. Now the food. Flavors, spices, temps, variety- on spot. The menu is not overwhelming, some amazing staple items. I was taken back to my childhood, when things were blissfully delicious. It made me excited to take my next bite. I was literally dancing in my seat. Drinks- Wowlly schmit! So so good.
Love me my Mexican food so of course we had to check this place out. Service was good and quick. Chips were ok some were fresh some were a bit stale. Loved the salsas very good flavor and hint of spice. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. Flavor was good big portion mostly onions wish there was a mix of the veggies too. My fav part was the hand made corn tortillas! Hard to find a place that has that. Very very good. Good amount of shrimp. Just the texture was a bit off maybe a little over cooked. The pastor in the crunchy taco was flavorful. Enchilada had good amount of meat. Would like to come back to try their drinks and see if there is an expansion of the menu. The service was good we didn't have to wait to long for ordering any food or drinks. It was pretty quiet music was good not too loud.
This place is four months old no picture decorations on the wall didn't get a chance to walk around or use the restroom. We did order a chimichanga, some doors and the fajitas combination. Let's start with the waiter he wasn't very attentive. My daughter's water was empty for 10 minutes before he came around to top our water off. Also, I asked for some water with three straws and for some reason we all got straws but mine came with three straws lol the food was average. I'm in no rush to go back I will give it another try maybe in a couple months.
we've been waiting for this place to open for a bit, so we were excited to finally try it! the server was really nice and friendly, and the restaurant itself is really large and spacious with lots of seating. the ambiance is pretty dark and dimly lit. we started with the complimentary chips and salsas, which were okay. we then ordered a quesadilla and chicken fajitas to share. it wasn't too crowded when we went and there was only one worker handling the restaurant, so the food did take a while to come out, but everything tasted good once it did. portion sizes were decent and the prices were pretty reasonable. the chicken in the quesadilla was a little chewy, but the chicken in the fajitas was more flavorful. i also liked the presentation of the rice and beans in the taco bowls, although i wasn't a huge fan of the texture of the refried beans. the fajitas came with 4 tortillas, which was a good amount for sharing. they also have a happy hour menu with some great prices. we got the mexican mule and paloma from it, and both were really good and nicely presented, especially for the price. we also ended up getting the churros, which were definitely the highlight of the meal for me. they were warm and filled, and came with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. there's definitely some room for improvement since this is a newer business, but overall i think it's a good spot if you're looking for an inexpensive mexican restaurant with decent portions.
We decided to give El Dorado a try on a weeknight just a few days after their initial soft opening. The interior was warmly modern and newly renovated although a tad bit plain, perhaps nodding to the final decor yet to come. The staff as welcoming and professionally efficient throughout our visit. We started at a table and were transferred to seating at the bar at the first available opportunity as requested. The bartender was efficient and friendly, checking in on us frequently. We ordered a margaritas and the flautas. The margaritas were spot on, not too sweet. The flautas were perfect, freshly made just perfectly tender soft and crisp. We had a great experience as part of their soft opening and look forward to more great service and delicious food with an expanded menu in the near future!
New up and coming restaurant in Dublin! We enjoyed a nice dinner at El Dorado during their soft opening. The restaurant is very big and clean inside. The vibe is a bit more upscale than other Mexican restaurants in the tri-valley, which is a nice differentiator since we don't have many restaurants like this. For a soft opening, they had a limited menu but it still had a ton of different options. I ordered chicken fajitas and my husband ordered carne asada. We both enjoyed our meals, and felt they were good for the price. I had plenty of fajitas left over for lunch the next day. Service was decent, but with more experience I'm sure it will improve. It was a little slow, but with a huge restaurant and limited servers that's understandable. We'll definitely come back to visit soon!
Soft opening Sunday June 28, 2026 Delicious The red and orange salsas are fire with the warm tortilla chips. We started with the fish ceviche which was my favorite. I had the grilled chicken taco salad and he had the shredded beef wet burrito. The rice and beans were flavorful and memorable. The grilled chicken was seasoned well. Quality ingredients with queso fresco and the guacamole was super fresh. We need to come back and try the crispy tacos. Please keep up the service and food quality.
Stopped by El Dorado's for happy hour and really enjoyed it! The food was delicious, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. We went pretty early, so getting a table was easy. The portions were also huge! The three of us barely made a dent in what we ordered (although we are light eaters ). Definitely felt like we got a lot of bang for our buck!
I recently visited this brand new restaurant in Dublin with my family during their soft opening! We really enjoyed our time here from the moment we stepped in. The young hostess was very sweet and brought us to our table, At our table our server was very fun and talkative. He made the experience memorable, he was also very knowledgeable about the food and drinks available. It felt like the kind of local restaurant you want to come back to because of the warm and kind people who work there. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful, I like how they were able to take some of the elements of the former restaurant who held this space and make it into their own. The way they painted the walls and decorated the place brightened it up in a happy and inviting way with nods to Mexican culture. I love how it is decorated! As for the food and drinks, they were tasty. We all each enjoyed our dishes and drinks! The food was very fresh and you could tell from the looks/taste of the food. The drinks were wonderful too, our waiter even joked that he had brought my Paloma out in a pretty cup just for me. I definitely recommend this place and would love to come back! I heard from our waiter they might have live music in the future!
We've been hearing great things about El Dorado. So we wanted to check it out on a Monday. To save you the read, we will definitely be back. I really enjoyed everything we ordered. The hostess was very kind and asked if we were ok with our table as the setting sun was shining in. There were plenty of items on the menu that sounded good. Always a nice problem to have! The kids menu prices were $10 or under, which we always appreciate. The kids drinks were about $2.50. We started with the table side guac. It was really good, limey, like we like it & a rough smash. We opted for no jalapeños. My husband got the super wet burrito with shredded beef. It was huge! Price was $18. The beef was very flavorful. I got the enchiladas Suizas - one cheese & one chicken. It was topped with the sauce, avocado slices, and a drizzle of crème fresh. I really enjoyed it. Kids meals we rested: - pastor taco with lettuce added, no beans. - Dino nuggets & fries. My daughter doesn't love Dino nuggets, she's prefer tenders. But, it would be nice if she actually ordered a taco or quesadilla at a Mexican restaurant! That's just her issue. Not the restaurant's. The restaurant & restrooms were very clean. The booths were roomy & comfortable for our family of 4. When I go back, I already know, I'm Getting the Mole.
Reviews are mixed. Many praise the friendly attentive service, clean modern atmosphere, and good margaritas and drinks. Portions are often generous.

Seated immediately. High-back booths. Welcoming hostess. Bar area with tv. Music played throughout. Clean. Food came out so quickly. Nice server. Good food and everything tasted great. Enchiladas were made well, fabulous and flavorful green tomatillo sauce. Fresh crema and avocado slices. Rice was seasoned well and finally a place where the beans had a lot of cheese on top! Sopaipillas were soft in the center with crispy edges, cinnamon sugar served with ice cream, caramel sauce and whipped cream. Thank you!! read more

Was craving Mexican, and looked on yelp for a recommendation - this one hit gold! Still in soft opening stage, they were a little understaffed. It was a good 10mi s to get seated with no wait for a table. That being said, we were greeted at our table quickly, and our food came fast! Staff was very friendly! Complimentary chips and two delicious salsas started us off. I ordered a classic marg, and it was perfect in taste and presentation. We both ordered the Birria taco plate, and it did not disappoint. 3 hot crispy stuffed tacos with a delicious dipping sauce. Came with rice and refried beans, which were both great! Also had moderate sided side salad on the plate. Neither of us could finish our meal. Everything was delicious! The rest of the menu looked just as good. It was busy for a Saturday night. Clean and nice inside. Will definitely be back here anytime I'm in the east bay! read more

Spacious place with booths that can accommodate 6 people. Chips and salsa were served quickly. Chips were thin, crispy and warm, just the way I like. Server was friendly and welcoming. We had table side guacamole which we enjoyed. I had a custom combo of chile relleno and crispy taco. The chile relleno was pretty good. The taco was a bit dry. Friend ordered fajitas which looked good. Other friends had the enchilada mole, another combo. Overall it was good and we would go again, but could still use some improvement. read more
The Wife and I stopped by after reading reviews. I feel like Yelpers are harsh on Mexican restaurants. We found the interior quite spacious, with tall booths and two person tables. We sat in a booth, and ordered a Modelo and shrimp fajitas for me, and sopes for The Wife. They have different bean options - refried, pinto and black beans, all vegetarian. But the waiter noted that the rice is cooked in chicken broth. Astute of him to point that out. While waiting for our food, he stopped by with a green mocktail, indicating that the bar had made a mistake, and asking The Wife if she'd like it. It was a green blossom, with the incredible mix of avocado, basil, apple, celery, lemon, ginger, flaxseed and honeydew. Perfectly scrumptious. The chips were crispy and came with two salsas. One seemed to be mixed with cheese, and was spicier, but not too much for me. The fajitas were excellent - the shrimp may have been slightly overcooked, but not by much. Plenty of onions, peppers and mushrooms mixed in. The sopes were also very good. Both came with refried beans in a little fried red tortilla cup, attractive. There's a nice looking full bar that you might not even see until you use one of the clean restrooms. Our waiter Jesus G did a real fine job, and we were never waiting long for anything. We will definitely return. read more

Update based on second visit review - based on our first experience we brought a couple family members and a friend. We were seated right away in an empty section, then the wait started. After watching other party's seated after us and ordered drinks and food and no one had even stopped by our table. 15-20 mins pass and we flag a busy boy and asked him to send our server. Turns out the hostess sat us in a section with no server, then a couple servers argued who would take the table. Finally one showed up, apologized and took our order, he did a sufficient job. Then the food arrived, it was under whelming husband and I ordered the same items from our first visit. However, this time the mix fajitas were bland, my chicken burrito was okay, the green sauce was cold and dumped on the burrito. Others on the table had issues with their food too. Didn't take any pictures this time around. Asked for the manager and the owner came and was apologetic about our experience. To make up he surprised us with a dessert the house, it was very good. Our check was over 250 for 5 people, I was the only one that had one margarita all others were soft drinks. I may give it another try once they officially open and have worked out the kinks. read more

The service was fine. No issues. Interior is a mix of full booths, standalone tables and booths where half is booth seating and half chairs. It should be good for groups given the space they have. Chips and salsa were brought almost immediately. The chips were light , seemed unsalted but some of the chips seemed on their way to being stale. The food was one of the rare cases where I did not want to finish my food and I most definitely did not want the leftovers. This gringa thinks it's the worst Mexican food she's ever had given how salty the entree food was. The chicken enchiladas were salty as well as tamal. Oddly, the masa of the tamal felt saltier than the pork and that was already a bit salty. So grateful I'd ordered a horchata as well as water at the beginning because both were needed. The glasses they use are also a bit bigger than typical. read more

The food was just ok. Good portions and very friendly service and staff. They are still on soft opening mode. I had mole de pollo and it was described as "sweet" I prefer a more smokey and spicy flavor but the chicken was tender. My son had the chili verde. Very dry (too lean needed some fat) and a little salty. It wasn't bad but I don't think it's a repeat visit. read more

Soft Opening Menu 2 days after opening. Solid food, great presentation (on some dishes) and fast service. 5 stars are given especially since this is a new restaurant going through some opening pains. Ordered the 2 item combo (tamal and enchilada) and my daughter ordered the quesabirria tacos. Presentation on the tacos was excellent, presentation on the combo was just average. Flavor or both dishes were spot on. I also like that they have a creamy salsa with the chips so I enjoyed the whole dinner there. This is located in the old Black Angus restaurant next to Best Buy. Dining area was appropriately Mexican but not overly done. If you want something nicer than a taqueria and pay a little for that premium, this is a great, new option in Dublin. read more

Short review (insert applause ) Soft launch... Sat at bar. Pros: Great service @bar. I can recommend only what our group tried: Hard Shell Beef Tacos, Mole Enchilada, Carnitas, Chips/Salsa, Beans and Rice were all very good. Tasted homemade. The beer was cold and some spicy drink was delicious and we sampled a good variety of tequila. Cons: It's new. It's still a little awkward. The manager might want to be visible on the floor. In summary, it is definitely worth trying. If you want a full menu, wait for the grand opening. Keep in mind that the restaurant business is rough. Give them a chance. #SupportLocal. read more

Love hearing you enjoyed the food, service, and the vibe. We’ll be…
Was really disappointed with the food here. The place itself is really nice. Gives Mexican vibes but still has a modern look to it. It was the soft opening so they weren't busy. We were sat right away and given our menus. Service was great, our server was very attentive and helpful with questions. We ordered the chicken mole enchiladas, taco salad with ground beef, shrimp salad and a wet burrito with steak. None of it was good. The Mole was too sweet and didn't taste fresh made. The rice had some weird taste to it, couldn't put my finger on it but it was a little sour. The shrimp salad was bland and felt more like a protein bowl rather than a nice salad put together. The shrimp wasn't seasoned and didn't look grilled but who knows. The taco salad was a let down. The beef tasted sour and was unappetizing. The taco bowl was stuffed with a lot of filler cabbage and barely any lettuce. The wet burrito was also bland and salty at the same time which doesn't make sense but that's how it tasted. The only saving grace were my refried beans. They were actually really good. I don't know sometimes I feel like maybe I'm too harsh. If it was just one person who didn't enjoy their food I'd have a different opinion because I know sometimes things are just off but when it's all four people that had issues with their food, I know it's not just me being overly critical. Very unfortunate. read more
