    Time to grub
    Jose C.

It's one of those times. Driving back from work and was allowed by my beautiful understanding wife that big boy needs to grub. So i headed to Cinco TacoBar since i was feeling Mexican food and this was the closest off the exit before going up the hill to Tracy. It was around 3:30ish so it was pretty empty, but this was good news for me, no wait times. The location is pretty spacious and theres also outdoor seating. My order was taking pretty fast and obviously food came out quickly as well, but i do want to say that this is one of those instances that fast does not usually translate to good. I will say that portioning is okay, the tortilla used is definitely large but it's protein content not so much. The cheese was also not melted all the way through and i believe that's probably due to how fast it was cooked. They used a tool where it squeezes the quesadilla in a grill platform. So i think they didn't let it sink long enough. Anyways, the quality of the quesadilla was enjoyable and the hot sauce i had packed a punch. It's a quick heat, lasts seconds. Not sure if I would come frequently though, as i mentioned earlier, the protein portioning is slim. If anything, i will come back for their other specialty items.

I love this little taco spot so much. I went in yesterday and ordered my bf and I some nachos. The customer service was amazing and heartwarming. The server was so kind and sweet and respectful. This is our new spot! We ordered 2x nachos, one chicken and one asada, with a pineapple limeade. Everything tasted like it was made with love

I tried this place I've been seeing it since it's next to boba tea. I tried the brisket it was so tender and pulled apart easily fresh ingredients and they put a lot which is great! I've always order the same thing every time I go. It's just too good!! This is better than chipotle! Service was fast and they try to accommodate everyone, friendly staff! The place is clean and great way to hang out with your friends!

I love Cinco TacoBar! It's definitely part of my Livermore taqueria rotation. I've had their tacos and burritos and both are delicious. I appreciate their freshly-made tortillas for tacos. They offer a variety of taco toppings - guac, cheese, grilled veggies - you name it! They always load up my tacos and I always leave full & satisfied. Their al pastor is a standout and I'm a big fan of their spicy orange salsa. In a town with so many solid taco options, Cinco TacoBar is worth visiting!

    Horchata & nachos

The first time I went to Cinco Taco Bar was last year for a Yelp event, and I remembered that was the first time I tried Horchata. I totally fell in love with it. I was in Livermore for work one Friday, and I decided to stop by here to get lunch before my work. I got the nachos, churros, and a horchata. The nacho were flavorful, crunchy, and delicious! The horchata was perfectly sweet with the lovely flavor. The churros were pretty good. It was definitely too much for one person. I think I ate 2 when there was like 4 or 5 pieces. I would definitely hit up this place again the next time I'm in the area. :)

First time and not our last time. Very good! I just love how the meat isn't skimpy like Chipotle. It isn't "generous", but it does lean towards it on the spectrum. I had a carnitas bowl w all the fixings, love all the yummy toppings! Love the free chips and salsa with my eat in entree! Hubby draft modelo was almost $8 and came as a 24oz! Wow! Huge! I'd definitely choose this place over Chipotle for variety of toppings, flavor, and generous meat! Refried beans and nacho cheese? Ugh, my guilty pleasure.

Great choice of food to fill up on before heading to the nearby wineries. We walked in Sunday at 12:30pm. It wasn't busy at all. We had no idea that the tacos were fully loaded. There were so many toppings to choose from. The lady was so nice to let us try samples of the meats to find which one was juicy and tender. We liked the beef brisket and carnita best. They make the corn tortillas fresh when you order tacos so that took a while to cook. We had to eat our tacos with a fork since it was impossible to pick it up with our hands. The tacos came with chips and salsa. The salsa had a kick to it. Love they also had pickled veggies and onions. We didn't feel it was authentic but still good. It's self serve type of place.

    Al Pastor Tacos

First time at Cinco TacoBar! We were in the area when craving for fish tacos started calling. They seemed to have a pretty good selection of items and reviews, so that influenced us to stop by! I ordered the fish tacos and al pastor tacos. The fish tacos were delicious - the beer batter flavors were strong and the fish was nicely crisp on the outside, and moist on the inside. The salsas on top added a nice pop of color and acidity too. The al pastor on the other hand was also good; the pork was a tad bit dry, but I liked the spice level and the salsa added on top made it great. The tortillas for both in general were a little doughier than I liked, and could've used a bit more time getting cooked/toasted. The women who made our orders were nice and friendly! Super patient overall since we had a large order of 20+ tacos lol. Chips are complimentary here too, which is a nice plus!

Ordered the taco salad and similar to the chipotle style of ordering . Loved it! The meat were seasoned well (we all ordered a different type of meat). Enjoy the fact they make their own chips!!! Refreshing and flavorful. Only issue , I wish they had mint leaves to make a refreshing mojito. They have only two locations in the east bay so I will have to travel across the bridge but worth it. Will definitely return !!!

This location is in one of my favorite quaint downtowns in the Bay Area, Livermore, and really delivers on the comfort food front with lots of creative riffs on American classics that will make your cardiologist shake their head in disappointment. The Good: * Happy Hour M-Fri 2:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Online reservations and waitlist via Toast (access through their website) * Seasonal menus so there is always something new to try. * Friendly service * Full bar with signature cocktails, as well as local beers and ciders on tap. * The brisket dinner wasn't quite what I was expecting, as it was more of a pot roast than a BBQ classic, but man, it was one of the best pot roasts I've ever had. The beef was smoky, succulent, and melted in your mouth. The concomitant jalapeño mashed potatoes were a fantastic accompaniment, as you got all the flavor of the jalapeño but just enough heat to make it an excellently balanced dish. * The BBQ beans were more of a bean soup, but delicious and smoky nonetheless. The Meh: * Limited menu for vegetarians and vegans The Ugly: * Street parking can be tough to come by, especially on weekends, but if you don't mind walking, there is a free city-run garage on Maple St. that has tons of spots and is shaded from those hot Livermore summers. Conclusion: Great place to get drunk, fat, and happy. Need I say more? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Savory girls, this one's for you! My friends both enjoyed their tamarind tequila cocktail and the non-alcoholic blackberry sage smash. We ordered the whipped feta which came topped with wine-soaked pluots, aleppo pepper, and fermented honey. This was absolutely to die for when scooped up with the fluffy, warm pita on the side. My friends and I have not been able to stop talking about this appetizer. It is what every bread and dip should strive to be - simple yet well-executed, with layers of contrasting flavors and textures. I can't wait to come back, our waitress was so friendly and fun, the food and drink menus have much to be explored, and the ambiance is intimate yet relaxed. What a great spot in downtown Livermore!

First off, this is NOT on the staff working. We genuinely felt bad for them. Management thought it was a good idea to schedule ONE bartender and ONE server on a packed Saturday night. The entire place was chaotic, customers were visibly irritated, TVs throughout the restaurant stopped working, and the poor employees were drowning trying to keep up. The stress was palpable that made the experience stressful and not enjoyable. Absolute management failure. At one point I used their self-pour beer wall and poured myself half a Modelo only for it to come out warm I was able to find another beer that was actually cold... but still charged for the warm one. The food was somehow even worse. We ordered the barbacoa nachos, wedge salad, and a kids burger with fries. The kids burger was the only edible thing. The wedge salad was drowning in ranch like someone emptied the whole bottle on it. Tomatoes tasted old and gross. Then came the nachos... tiny portion, bland chips, barely any cheese, no mango salsa like the menu claimed, and the "barbacoa" -- if you could even call it that -- was tough, fatty, and completely inedible. $74 later for one appetizer, one salad, one kids meal, and 1 1/2 beers. We only tipped because we felt bad for the server. We will NEVER be back. Thanks for ruining our Mother's Day dinner.

Another group with 4 people walked in about 15 min later after us with no reservations but they were seated almost immediately. The hostess did not acknowledge us nor said anything. Awhile after that I counted 3 different groups leaving - a tota of 8 people. We waited patiently and kept waiting thinking we would be seated. 20 minutes slowly pass by, then another 5, then another 5.. I looked over and saw two tables completely empty. I was literally outside the door after about 45inutes and my phone buzzed. Come to find out that they had 3 open tables available the entire time. The decor is tiki themed along with the drinks however the music playing in the background was jazz. Not sure how that fits the theme.
