Stopped by on our way back to MN. The waitstaff and kitchen staff were great and very quick. Ordered the tacos de barbacoa, mango shrimp tacos, and a breakfast burrito w/ chorizo. Tacos de barbacoa: (7/10) not my favorite but still ok. The meat, even soaking in the juices, was just a touch dry. The tortillas were also soggy, thought they were gonna be crispy. The rice, beans, and guac were delicious. Mango shrimp tacos: (10/10) the shrimp was breaded. The flavor of the shrimp, mango, and the salsa went so well together! Breakfast Burrito: (10/10) the burritos here are massive. No complaints from the orderer. Salsa & chips: had the right amount of kick and the chips we very fresh! read more

Fun atmosphere with wood swings from the ceiling. Chips and salsa are fair nothing amazing. Steak fajita split by wife and daughter who enjoyed it immensely. I had tortilla soup which was outstanding. Service was good, price is more expensive but overall great experience. read more

Where to start. The place was clean with enough tables spread apart to be comfortable, and the counter does have swings as the name implies. There was good parking too. We had amazing service from start to finish (eager refills, fresh hot sauce with the meal, a hearty welcome to Mitchell). The small human wasn't sure what flavor Jarritos she wanted, so she was escorted to the fridge to chose her own. I had the barbacoa tacos and they were perfect, especially with a drizzle of the aforementioned homemade hot sauce. The partner had a burrito smothered in green chili sauce that was apparently also excellent. The sangria hit the spot as did the partner's margarita. I stopped by for takeout at the recommendation of a nearby hotel- the lady who greeted me and took care of my order was soooo sweet and helpful- that made my day. I ordered pork carnitas with cilantro/onions and corn tortillas. My husband and I were shocked at how good they were. Hands down the best carnitas tacos we have had. Perfect flavor- and a little of the juice. I would come back just for those. Resist the urge to order Americanized food! Chips/ salsa were "ok". But who cares! Go for the carnitas! read more

Probably the best Mexican dishes my wife & I have ever had. Super friendly waitstaff, reasonable prices and good chips & salsa served while you wait for your food. My wife is vegetarian so she had the spinach enchilada, it was so good I wish I would have gotten that for myself! She also loved the veggie tamale. Fajitas for two is a joke, 90 percent veggies that were uncooked and even had carrots ??? and not even enough meat to feed two even adding shrimp. No fried flour chips but they serve tortillas?. Beer selection is slim. My daughter didn't even eat her macaroni and fries and I don't blame her... bland and soggy! Only one Waitress for the whole night and she was slow and not accommodating. When we first walked in we were greeted by a very kind gentleman who said we may sit wherever we would like. After we sat down he came over right away with some amazing in-house chips with there also home made salsa. We also got there queso which was amazing also homemade. Once our food arrived (i got the queso burrito with carne asada) it looked amazing, the presentation was very good. The taste was outstanding and the burrito was gone with no crumbs left!! The Swing is great. I got snowed off I-90 and miss good Texas Mexican joints and they knocked it outta the park. I recommend buying an extra tequila shot for the huge margarita if you like strong drinks too. read more

Funny thing. Heading east then west touring we stopped here a second time. Excellent both times. We were flying thru and forgot to post our impressions the first time. Definitely worth a visit if you're around the area. Great food and reasonably priced. The MDA combo included choice of two items with sides. Mine was chille relleno and chimi with carnitas. A very good Mexican restaurant, quite a welcome find given how sparse the rest of the area is. Excellent food: house dish shrimp andale was something beautifully different I've never had, and I do eat a ton of Mexican. Very attentive staff, and boy these folks know how to hustle. You can see the kitchen from the dining area, and it was obvious this group takes pride in their work. Food was quick, even though the place was packed, which surprised me for 8 PM on a Sunday night in a small town-- but it's a college town, which generally means good food opportunities. I would definitely look forward to exploring the rest of this menu. read more

During a snow delay on a road trip from WI to CO, my friend and I were forced to stop overnight in Mitchell, SD. This place was near our hotel and had good reviews, plus we love Mexican food, so figured we'd five it a shot. We didn't have high hopes for a Mexican joint in SD but were pleasantly surprised! The staff was super friendly and brought us warm chips and tasty salsa right away. We quickly noticed they had swings for diners and we moved there before our server knew what had happened to us. The carnitas jalisco style w/ rancho beans was delicious. It was National Margarita Day according to our server, so of course we had to indulge. The margaritas were subpar, but for a snow forced stop on our road trip, we couldn't have been more pleased. The only complaint was that the eggs in the juevos rancheros were fully cooked instead of runny, but that may have been an expectation we had from similar dishes at home. read more

On a recent road trip, my wife and I stopped to have dinner. The food at this restaurant is fantastic. My wife ordered the Tamales and quickly informed me that they are the 2nd best Tamales she had ever had. 1st place Tamales were made by a dear friend's mother. The largest and best tasting burritos I've ever had! We are there for dinner. There were swing style seats along the windows. The food was fresh, tasty and extremely large. It was served hot and tasty. Customer service was wonderful. The place was busy but a party of 8 we're seated immediately. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our drinks were served promptly and order taken. The food arrived quicker than usual. The prices were excellent based on quality, taste and quantity. The horchata is made daily and tasted. This is certainly a must go to if you are in the area. The signage isn't too clear and Google will bring you to the wrong place if you use the address.
