We ate there 02/02/26. The hubby ordered a coke. It tasted like sanitizer. He told the waiter and ordered water. Never got the water. I ordered the shrimp cocktail to share and Texacana fajita. It had NO SIZZLE and NO FLAVOR. I poured salsa on it and still couldn't eat it. The hubs ordered a steak and chicken combo. It was like cardboard. Beers were good, food was good (menu was a bit confusing, and selection not as great as some Mexican restaurant menus I've seen), service was not so good. Definitely a big time language barrier with our waiter, so he had to go get the manager when there was some questions about beverages. After long drive from Minneapolis, I was looking for some good dinner n found excellent reviews on Trip advisor for this restaurant. Even though yelp had very little reviews, I thought of trying this. Food is yummy! I don't eat meat n they had very good selection of veg varieties! I had quesadilla n it was very tasty! Salsa is the best part. Waited to be seated for ten minutes. Finished all the chips and salsa before someone finally offered me a drink. 15 minutes later it showed up. We just moved to Huron and tried this restaurant. Bad choice on our part. They got the order wrong, did not give an itemized receipt for a carry out order, after charging our credit card. Actually they said they did not have the ability to give any receipt (charge receipt or itemized). Not good. It was $47 for 2 people but we did order dessert which only had one choice of plain cheesecake. That was another bad choice on our part at this restaurant. We were both in the bathroom for the rest of the evening. We will never go to this restaurant again. read more

Quality Mexican food with good size portions. The queso is fantastic if you order some with your chips to start! California burrito will feed you for days- it's massive! The Spanish rice is done well and all the different combinations are very good and there is something for everyone! Would also highly recommend the fish tacos. read more

This place is pretty average for midwest Mexican food. In terms of flavor of the entrees there was nothing unique or special about it. Chips and salsa starter was not too great. It wasn't bad but the salsa didn't have any cilantro or veggie chunks. VERY mild tasting so we asked for the hotter salsa. The hotter salsa was so gross. Had lunch at this restaurant a month ago. I work in Minneapolis and have come to Huron twice on business. The food here is delicious! People don't understand that Mexican food is different in different parts of the U.S., just as it is in different parts of Mexico. How boring would it be if it wasn't. I have traveled all over the country and if you expect Mexican food in Los Angeles to taste like Mexican food in Texas, you are going o be very disappointed. I will continue to dine at this restaurant as often as I can. Oh and just as an aside, Taco Bell and Taco Johns? Got in after lunch rush. Was served cold coffee..ok not a good start. Waited for our food for a long time watching people who arrived after us get drinks, chips food etc. Maybe we smelled bad? Finally got food...and by the time we got forks to eat it another 10 min or more was cold..ever eat a cold enchilata (yuck)?? Food was incredible. Service was non existent. Had to get my table our own silverware and napkins. Took forever to get the bill. The food is the reason they get 3 stars in my books.
