    Loaded baked potato

We went to Cattleman's to celebrate my brother's birthday and had a wonderful time. Our sever Robin was amazing and very informative. This was one of the best prime ribs I've ever had. Juicy and cooked to a perfect medium rare. My husband had the steak which was also great. They have an excellent whiskey selection and we all loved the baked potatoes and side salads. Don't skip on dessert. The peanut butter ice cream was amazing and only $2!

Med rare ribeye ... perfectly seasoned and cooked

I had great service at the bar since I was alone as a traveler. Had the ribeye med-rare and cooked and seasoned perfectly. Side salad was nothing special but good. Asparagus was fresh and cooked perfectly as well. Glass of earthquake cab was fresh and tasty! Will eat here again next time I visit.

    Bones after 1 bite

Worlds worst experience... Austin the "manager/owner" needs to be replaced. Out for an anniversary dinner with my wife and she ordered the Walleye Fingers and after taking 1 bite she pulled 4 long bones out of her mouth from the fish. We called the waitress over to ask to swap out for something else and she politely said that would be fine but they would still be charging us for the Walleye even though she had only taken 1 bite. We called Austin over and he basically argued with us saying that's the way they serve their walleye and all fish have bones. With our company, we're in the service and food industry ourselves and know that mistakes happen but he treated us like we were incompetent.... A much simpler solution would of been to just exchange for a different menu item and take the fish off the bill. We said we were happy to pay for a different menu item but he wanted to charge us for the nasty walleye that was filled with bones and not take it off the bill. We ended up paying the entire bill and walking out after Austin refused to compromise. We own a company and thrive on excellent customer service and have never treated any of our customers this way and would never of expected this from a local small town steakhouse. Very disappointing guys!! - we know a lot of people in this town and bad food service experiences spread like wildfire through this small town. We will never step foot in there again and will never hold a company Christmas party with your establishment either. Horrible experience - if I could give zero stars I would.

The steak was good but service and restaurant was just okay. If you are hungry it may be your best option in town. A little over priced for what you get but it was a good steak.

Ribeye cooked medium, with steamed broccoli and baked potato with cheese and bacon.

Food was good and service was fine. Solid meal at a family owned joint, which is what I prefer to support whenever possible.

And they always serve you good food and generous portions for a good price. I like that they don't have many screens here. When my husband and I eat out, we don't want to watch TV together, we want to visit. There are places to sit if you want to watch the TVs, but I really like that they don't have many in the restaurant. They remodeled recently, thankfully they didn't change the things that I loved about the restaurant before, just the entries/foyer area and the exterior. They have a nice kids menu that is a coloring page, they have helium balloons that they give to the kids at the front desk when you're done eating, and they serve everyone a little dessert sopapilla when you get your bill. Very family friendly. Would definitely recommend eating here!

I have mixed feelings about this place. If you are one of those unfortunate souls who has nothing…read morebetter to do but read all of my reviews, you know by now that poor interior lighting in restaurants is a pet peeve of mine. Waking into a dimly lit restaurant immediately colors my view of the place. I arrived around 7:30 and the sun was still out, yet it was rather dark inside this place. It took me a few minutes to figure out what the causes were. First, there were vertical blinds on the front windows that were partially closed (even though that side of the building was facing away from the sun). Second, the light bulbs in the light fixtures were recessed way too far up into their fixtures. The fixtures were designed for flood lamp style bulbs, but had old CFL bulbs designed for a lamp like you might have on an end table in your home. Switching to LED flood lamp type bulbs would greatly enhance the lighting, and the cost wouldn't be very much. The ceiling tiles had large water stains on them. I'm guessing this facility is leased and the owner is not maintaining the roof as they should be. I don't want to fault the restaurant proprietors for this, since it is likely out of their control. In spite of the poor lighting, the water damaged ceiling, and some torn spots in the wallpaper, the decorations hanging on the wall were very clean and free of dust. The buffet islands seemed nice enough, though there were some rope lights around the perimeter that were not functional. I found that a little odd. The dish labels were handwritten and while legible, did not always reflect what food was in the dish below it. On to the food. I tried the sesame chicken, and it was dry and chewy. The cream cheese rangoons were also dry. The white rice tasted good and fairly fresh, and the hot and sour soup was just the right mix of hot and sour. I tried some cookies and cream ice cream for dessert, and it was quite good. The glass of water I drank was wet and didn't smell or taste bad. I noticed that most of the buffet dishes seemed to be low on food. I suspect that this place sees a rush of business around 5:00 and that the food I had was the leftovers from that dinner rush. Overall, it wasn't terrible. As a person who travels a ton for work, I have encountered worse. But I do feel that the price was on the high side for the quality of the food. Dry, chewy chicken is a pretty negative thing to experience at a Chinese buffet. As a side note, Yelp recommends adding a comment about service. I'm not sure what to put for that. This is a buffet which is self service, even the drinks. The plates, glass, and silverware were all clean and plentiful, so I guess that counts as good service. The buffet islands didn't have spilled food all over them, which would indicate that the staff cleans them regularly. One of the employees was mopping the floor while I ate, which shows that they keep the floors clean. So, I would say for a self service buffet, the service was quite acceptable.

Unequivocally the worst Chinese food we've eaten. We ordered delivery to our hotel and it did…read morearrive fresh and steaming hot. The sweet & sour chicken and sweet & sour shrimp were separate from the sauce, but there were puddles of oil in the bottom of the foil pan. The oil they were fried in tasted old and left a greasy feel and taste in my mouth well after the meal was thrown away. Breading on the chicken was extremely thick and doughy- we were pulling it off. The chicken seemed to be precooked prior to breading? I dunno, it wasn't good. The shrimp breading was light and crisp, but the oil taste was overpowering. The white rice was mushy. Most disappointing of all was the order of 10 crab Rangoon. Rather than a cream cheese filling, they had what I believe was a pork dumpling filling- it was gray, firm, and meat based, whatever it was, which wasn't good. None of us finished our meal and it was thrown away. :(
