A group and I ate at this restaurant today and we were thoroughly impressed with the food and the service. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Nice service. I am a wine drinker and that had a higher quality wine list that was drinkable. Food was just ok but what I expected. I sat at the bar, and they seemed to have a nice group of locals that dined here often.. I had not eaten at Ruby Tuesday in over 15 years, and I was happy. As the quick Labor Day weekend 2023 was coming to a close, my friend, his wife and I decided to come to this Ruby Tuesday's. It apparently was one of the few eateries open that day. It was busy. Quite busy. We arrived around 6:15pm and had to wait about 15 minutes before they seated us. We should have called ahead but we didn't think to do so, since it's a Sunday. Boy were we wrong! It was busy! We ended up waiting outside before a few elderly individuals came in and sat on the benches that we gave up so that they can sit. We ended up getting a booth next to the entrance, which was nice and welcoming, so we can leave as quickly after the meal as we wanted. The service wasn't as good as it was since it was busy, but satisfactory as it came. I ended up having a burger with french fries, which was pretty darn good. I also ordered a beer with you actually hit the spot. It was a Kapstone to a whirlwind experience here in South Dakota on a Labor day weekend 2023. Finance was OK, and well the restaurant was very busy, it was quite enough to where we could have a conversation and it was quite enough for us to enjoy the everything. I have not been disturbed by other things that was going on, but Ruby Tuesday's restaurant is a chain, it was one of those things that can't be helped since he didn't know any place else that was open on a Sunday evening. The ambiance was as similar to any chain restaurant out there these days. Just surprised that it was as crazy busy as it was. The overall experience here at Ruby Tuesday's Mitchell South Dakota could be categorized as being typical and just okay. Could be better but at least the service was quick enough to be attentive and quick despite the busy nature that is a busy restaurant during the dinner rush. The restaurant was cozy, even though it was busy. The orders were entered promptly and received them maybe 20-25 minutes later. The beer came first before the entree. I could say that it was OK, but just busy. The seating was comfortable and it was good company to be had here. For the most part, though, it was an OK experience although I was surprised that this was the only place that was open on a Sunday during Labor Day weekend 2023, in Mitchell, South Dakota. But then again, it is Mitchell, South Dakota. Small towns have their own thing and apparently this was a few places that I was familiar and let me know what the food was and my friends wanted it anyway, so we are good. Not much else to say other than it is a chain restaurant that can cater to your meat side versus your salad bar side. They have a good salad bar too but I did not participate in that. I was too involved with celebrating my 26.2 mile event in Cenex South Dakota earlier that day and being on vacation. That's what beers are for. At least for me. If you love chain restaurants, such as Ruby, Tuesday's, come on down. This Ruby Tuesday's restaurant is located at 1900 Highland Way in Mitchell, South Dakota. They except major credit cards, as well as cash. Cash is king anywhere you go. As far as parking is concerned, they have a very generous parking option for y'all to come in to partake in this delicious endeavor. The food is delicious as usual, but as always, it is what you would expect at a ruby Tuesdays. Wow, it is generally the stuff you would care for as comfort food, it appeals to the masses. I'm not sure about public transportation options here in Mitchell, South Dakota, but best bet would be to have a rental car or a car. Period or if you prefer there's always Uber/Lyft at your disposal but that can be pricey if you need it up there cancel, Ruby Tuesday's is a place where you can take your family and friends and have a good time. It is a place where a good food means good conversation and they have a full bar so you can drink and drink some more. I'm not sure if they do happy hour but I'm sure you can be happy with all the different liquors we can have without getting wasted or if they say you had enough. Not sure if they have Wi-Fi here but didn't need it anyway. If you're in the area and put all American fast food and or barbecue, swing on by. My nine year old: "dad the cheeseburger tastes like rubber." I thought my food was okay, not great at first. Then I got home and my stomach went nuts. Wife was not impressed with her steak and neither was I. Super thin and she said the seasoning described on the menu was nearly absent. The food needs work folks. The wait staff was pleasant overall, until a rather standoffish attitude at the end of the meal. Perhaps he could see from our faces we were disappointed in the food. It's not on you bro. My family and I were there last night, around 8 pm. We were seated right away. That's the only thing this place did right. We sat for 10 mins before my wife went to ask about our server. We think the manager came over, with a flippant attitude, took our drink order. He said our server had another large table she was helping. That's understandable. However, someone else should have served us then. We got our drink quickly. Our food was another story. It was 20-30 mins before we were served. Our order sat in the window so long that the sour cream, for the potato, was hot. The broccoli cheese soup had congealed into a nasty clump. Overall absolute disgusted with the service and food. I wanted to give this 3 stars. I thought the waitress was both friendly and attentive. Even with the tail end of COVID still lingering the salad bar was up and running which is a plus. I know it's my fault for ordering ribs from here. I know that RT is not an award winning bbq establishment. It was late and I wanted to keep rolling so this is where I stopped. Stopped in here while traveling at 30 minutes before they closed. Everyone was very nice here. Fantastic staff. They had Texas Shiner Beer on tap. Had some shrimp and onion rings. And have not seen such horrible food come out of a kitchen. Waitress was great, but that food has no pride behind it. When the buns are cardboard the fries are old and soggy. And my kids that are younger than 4 get cheese burgers and fries and the buns are cardboard and cheese is hard before hitting the table theres issues. I wish i would have taken pictures of it all. 1st of all the place is not very Welcomeing. We wanted to order a custom lemonade We asked them to Put fresh strawberries in A Lemonade they said no because other customers might want That. We ordered $30 steak Meals and each steak came and was over half fat. The potatoes we're probably not enough even to fill my six-year-old a very small portion. It makes you (corporate) or ( franchisee) look like a person or manager that can't run a business. Time to step up and pay a decent wage. Service was decent, restaurant is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Tonight I chose their Fajita special with chicken, the meal comes with 3 taco size tortilla's, a small cup of diced tomatoes, a portion of lettuce, cheddar cheese and a tiny dollop of sour cream. The chicken is one breast sliced and grilled with some seasonings served in a small bowl with grilled peppers and onions. A few jalepeno's tossed on for looks. While decent tasting, the entire meal is rather dry. You see Ruby Tuesday's has no accompanying condiment you would expect with fajita's. I would say with this oversight basically the concept is a miss and I would not recommend it to anyone. While it's not this stores fault, non the less they get the score for the meal. Apple bees always gets bad reviews like this place but you can always find decently good food on the menu. This place you can't find anything good. The salad bar was nasty. Was looking forward to a good hot meal after a long day of travel. Sat at the bar which was my first mistake. Basically a hang out area for all the employees who do not have customers help. It was very loud with all of their work chatter. The drink was good. I ordered the 12oz ribeye, asked for it medium well. When it arrived it looked a bit funky. I questioned if it was beef. It looked like a pork chop. When I cut into it it was very bloody. Now the blood is in my potatoes and corn, couldn't stomach that. Asked to have it cooked longer, twice. When it was returned to me it was not replated, served on a small salad plate. Needless to say it wasn't good. And I'm still pretty sure it wasn't beef. Just not good food or experience. Went to Rudy Tuesday after getting no one to wait on us at Whiskey Creek (due to waiter being to busy drinking and talking with other staff) . Rudy Tuesday was very busy but walked in the door and was immediately greeted and got to our seat and order taken and drinks delivered with in 5 minutes. Great service and employees wonderful.
