    Bottomless Brunch Plates
    Britney B.

Decided to visit El Centro for their bottomless brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. I'm not much of a drinker, but my friends fully embraced the endless mimosas--cheers to them! The menu is all served tapas-style (small plates), which I absolutely loved because it meant trying a bit of everything. Our server took the lead and started ordering straight off the menu for us, which was fun... until I realized they skipped a few dishes I had my eye on, like the chilaquiles and enchiladas. Major bummer! We did ask for the chilaquiles specifically, but instead, dessert showed up. Oh well, next time, I guess! The restaurant also has a rooftop, which is a great touch, so there's plenty of seating. That said, if you're walking in for brunch on a weekend, prepare for a wait--reservations are a lifesaver. While the food itself was just okay, the lively vibe and cool ambiance totally made up for it. Great spot for a fun outing, even if a few menu items slipped through the cracks!

    Skull painting at el Centro

I have been to el Centro before and loved it. Most recent, I went there for a skull painting event in celebration of dia de los muertos and loved it. They had these acrylic paints and ceramic skulls to paint that we could take home afterwards. The service was wonderful and they readily offered us basics like chips beyond the buffer they provided to us. With the ticket, they also had free food, which was wonderful and always available. I can't wait to come back to this event hopefully next year!

Popped in on a Sunday and not quite hungry enough for a bottomless brunch, but sat at the bar for a drink and tacos. My strawberry marg left much to be desired and I had to keep stirring it to keep it from separating. I did not finish the drink, but a friendly bar neighbor ordered me a new grilled pineapple marg and it did not disappoint! The shrimp tacos were absolutely delish! No complaints there. I did not have the guacamole but did notice that it looked fresh and made in house! It's very lively atmosphere and they have a rooftop patio and bar option as well. I'll definitely come back to try out other dishes and drinks.

Mexican Rice (comes with Pork Shank Carnitas)

El Centro is a lively, multi-floor Mexican eatery known for its buzzy ambiance, attentive staff, and fun Tex-Mex menu. Located in a busy part of town, it's no surprise that even by 6:45pm on a Saturday night, the place was starting to fill up quickly. If you're dining solo, you can easily grab a spot at one of their bars or sit outside, though for groups, reserving a table is definitely recommended. I visited El Centro to order takeout using the Nosh'd app, which offers great discounts for college students with an .edu email (I scored $16 off on my $16+ purchase). The process couldn't have been smoother--I ordered my meal through the app, added a tip, and my discounts applied automatically. In under 10 minutes, my food was ready, which was especially impressive given how busy the place was. The menu at El Centro has a little something for everyone: salads, tacos, fajitas, and a variety of appetizers/dips like Pork Belly Guacamole, which I'll definitely try on my next visit. For this meal, I went with the Pork Shank Carnitas ($24), which came with a "salsa trio, refried beans, Mexican rice, and corn tortillas." I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes--especially the chips and salsa they included, enough for 3-4 people! The chips were crispy and light, not too oily, and the smoky salsa was delicious and refreshing. As for the main course, the pork shank was a showstopper. It was rich, fatty, and so tender that parts of it practically fell off the bone. The corn tortillas it came with were a beautiful bluish-purple color with nice char marks, but they were a bit dry and tended to fall apart when I tried to make tacos. The refried beans were well-seasoned and hearty, topped with pickled vegetables that added a great crunch and acidity. The Mexican rice on the side was classic and enjoyable, though I know not everyone will appreciate the vegetable garnish. The salsa trio added a fun element to the meal--each one was unique and flavorful. The salsa verde was bright and refreshing, the orange salsa had a subtle red-pepper kick, and the thick, creamy salsa (with little black dots) was unlike anything I've tried before. Overall, this was a filling, hearty meal that I couldn't even finish, and at $24, it was an excellent value for the portion size and quality. El Centro impressed me with its efficient takeout service and great food, and I'm definitely planning to return for an in-person dining experience to sample their drinks and appetizers. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite at the bar or settling in for a night with friends, this place offers a solid meal and a fun atmosphere--well worth checking out!

Best guacamole I have had in a long time!! A lot of places do not put enough salt or lime... some not enough of either. This place made it spot on! They make it fresh so I was able to get it without onions and they offer mild medium or spicy. We ordered medium and it came out perfectly. Very fresh!! The chicken enchiladas were really good! I liked the yellow rice and beans. Everything had good flavor and the portions were good. Service was excellent! Place is really nice! Decor felt so nice. It's looking a bit like fall in there, pretty. My friend got the taco mix and he liked them. His favorite was the shrimp taco. They do not have coconut mojitos but worked with me and maybe the traditional mojito with Malibu rum so I had some coconut flavor in there. It was very delicious!! Fair prices and clean bathrooms! Oh and their salsa verde is delicious! U ordered a side for my enchiladas.

First time in DC... ended up in Georgetown and saw this place. Walked in right before the rain... they took us right in and they were busy! Sat down and was greeted by the nicest waitress's. They were both very nice. Now the for the food, we ordered the carne asada plate, one of the best I have ever tasted. I was looking forward to eating my ladies left overs... but nope, she ate it all! She never does that! If you're in the area, stop on by... very good food and great staff!

Omg this may have been one of the best bottomless brunches I have been to. We went for a friends birthday and it was so much fun ! The service was great very nice and friendly waiter. The resturant was packed but you weren't super close to other parties which was great honestly. Bottomless drinks from mimosas to margaritas to spiked agua Fresca and they were all soooooo good omg. The food I would just recommend getting everything I don't like waffles but the best waffles I've ever had!!! This says a lot they were so perfect with a nice bite size chicken nugget perfection ! All the tacos were great ! The ceviche was different I love the raw fish version and this was a sweet shrimp one still good though ! I can't remember the name but they're similar to nachos and they were a fan favorite with everyone

Do not recommend for Sunday brunch. Do not recommend the bottomless brunch option. Do not recommend the chicken and waffles. Chicken was over cooked and hard. Only item I recommend is traditional guacamole. Staff was friendly and courteous. But they are short handed and we had to wait in water refills and other items from our waiter. Other members in our group; Staff mentioned you receive 4 tacos and you only get 3 tacos. We do not recommend the tacos'. Do not eat rice and beans. It is nice to be able to eat outside on the Patio, they have a beautiful outdoor seating. Only order the traditional guacamole.

I was excited to try this spot because I always passed it walking in georgetown and it had such a cute interior. The inside of the restaurant gives bar vibes, similar to a night club however their food was more elevated than the environment. Service was quick and friendly. The shank was soooo good and probably my favorite. The fried were also one of my fav sides. Crispy fish taco - you need it.

Good food and nice location. We sat outside and tried the margs - they were deceivingly strong! Our server was nice but the hostesses weren't so much. I tried the birria arepa - I thought it was delicious. Would come back to try some more items.

Arrived here after seeing the flowers outside to enjoy a yummy brunch. Bottomless mimosas were flowing and the food was also good. I sat upstairs at the bar and the servers were busy on a Summer Sunday afternoon, but attentive to me. While it was loud, it was crowded so it didn't surprise me. Definitely recommend when in Georgetown.

Got the huevos rancheros and frozen strawberry marg and both were so yummy! The tables were a little wobbly but the decor was so cute! And our waitress Nicole was so nice!

If you go to brunch with a group of people, can 1 person order the bottomless brunch for $35 and everyone at the table can get bottomless food and drinks?

    LOL. No.

How long is their kitchen open on late nights?

I believe they are open until 3 am today. Usually depend how busy they are. Call them and they can tell you if 3 will be the time to close today for example.

The service was ok, we had to tell our server we weren't seeing him enough, there's a 2 hour limit and we weren't getting a chance to order more drinks. After that he kept the drinks coming. WARNING! You DO NOT get to choose what items you want from the ayce brunch menu, they bring every single dish out and they do it at a pace that you barely get a chance to enjoy anything. Every dish is loaded with fillers and barely any meat. Every dish has a similar flavor of chilli, lime and cilantro. I say this with the upmost respect to this restaurant, the only good thing about the brunch were the churros and they don't give you that until you're ready to leave. The chicken and waffles were almost good but the sauce on the chicken with the waffle just ruins it. The steak and eggs were ok and you only get a 1oz piece of steak. Birria tacos were just ok and the fish taco was ok. Everything else was not worth it. A lot of items went to waste. If we could've chose exactly what we wanted, it might have been better. This would also add to why the service did not start off well because our server gave us our first drink and left. After that, every item from the brunch menu were just getting dropped off by food runners. It became overwhelming. We didn't even have room on the table for all of that. Then we also had to ask for new plates because we did not want to mix the flavors of every dish. The drinks were also not good, I had margaritas for my drink of choice and they are so sour and filled with cheap tequila... respectfully for 70$ a person you're better off ordering à la carte. The restaurant is beautiful though, great for pictures and the food is colorful as well but the flavors are just not that good and you're ultimately paying for a bunch of food that you don't really even want nor enjoy. I really hope they adjust this because I heard it was 10x better in the past.

The tacos are built on house-made masa tortillas and you can taste that they care. I did the Pollo à la Parrilla and the Chilito de Res. Both landed. Shoutout to Alex who knew the menu well and was very attentive. Wafers always filled.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious, especially the dessert! We were visiting a friend who recommended this spot, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, but even with a full house, it was still easy to have a conversation at the table. Overall, a great dining experience and a place we'd happily return to.

They have good drink options which was nice for a group which all had different tastes. We started with appetizers, including the chicken empanadas, the tuna tacos, and ceviche sampler. The chicken empanadas were good, if not particularly memorable. But had a nice crunch on the shell and the inside had a nice savory flavor and not dry. The tuna tacos, which didn't have the most appetizing color, was also tasty. The tuna was tender and balanced well with the crispy shell. The ceviche sampler was also delicious, each one having a different flavor profile. I liked the tigre de leche the best in terms of the acidity and brightness. I just wish the ceviche had some kind of vessel to eat it with. One of the ceviche had plantain chips which was nice but I wanted more. Without it, the texture is just one note. For the main dishes, we got the lomo saltado and the aji de gallina which are two, iconic Peruvian dishes. Both were just meh. The aji was the better of the two. The sauce was flavored well with the creaminess of the sauce not overwhelming the garlic and tumeric flavors. But the rice was SUPER dry, almost crunchy. The lomo saltado was even worse. The beef was overly cooked, some pieces were very sinewy and chewy. It was also overly salty and the veggie to meat ratio heavily favored the veggies and made the dish feel cheap. Overall, it was fine but given the options for Peruvian in DC, not sure this deserves 4 stars+.

If you're looking for the heartbeat of Dupont Circle, this is it. Mission is a D.C. institution for…read morea reason--it's massive, loud, and consistently delivers exactly what you want when you're craving a margarita and a high-energy vibe. Housed in a stunning four-story converted townhouse, the space itself is impressive. Between the rustic wood beams, the huge glass atrium, and the multiple bars, it feels like a high-end saloon that never stops moving. It's the ultimate spot for a birthday, a massive group happy hour, or a rowdy weekend brunch. The Food & Drinks: The Margaritas: You can't come here and not get a marg. Whether you go classic or frozen, they are strong and well-balanced. Their Happy Hour (4-6 PM) is arguably one of the best deals in the neighborhood. Taco Trio: I usually go for the Baja Fish and Carnitas. The fish is crispy, and the tortillas actually hold up to the toppings. Chipotle Chicken Rollups: These are basically a Mission rite of passage. They're the perfect salty, savory bar snack to share with the table while you're a few rounds in. Guacamole & Queso: Solid, reliable, and comes out fast. The chorizo queso is a game-changer if you're looking to go all out. The Experience: The service is impressively fast considering how packed this place gets. Chef Erwin Rodas and the Mission Group team (who also run Mission Navy Yard and The Admiral) have this down to a science. Even when there's a line out the door, the kitchen stays consistent. Pro Tip: If you're planning on Bottomless Brunch, book your table way in advance. It gets wild in the best way possible. If you want a slightly "quieter" experience, try to snag a seat on the outdoor patio for some prime Dupont people-watching.

Unfortunately, not sure where to start, other than truly disappointed…read more We ordered dinner from here tonight, but can't say we'll ever do that again. My husband and I each got the steak fajitas for $24.00 per plate. First off, this is my fajita plate, I haven't even eaten yet, but as you can see, little to no meat can be seen. To make matters worse, the box in which it was sent was leaking from all 4 corners. As if that wasn't bad enough, we were sent taco sized tortillas, not fajita sized, and we were only sent 4. So between two people, there were 4 tiny tortillas to share. For $24.00, I expect to at least have an ounce or two of meat, but our boxes were filled with soggy vegetables, soggy rice, and poorly flavored minuscule bits of meat. I actually had to dig to find the meat. I understand inflation, but there's a difference between inflation and being ripped off or being dishonest about what you sell. I am embarrassed to even be writing such a negative review, but I believe restaurants need to be made aware of incidents like this so they can be addressed. It's possible this isn't their typical practice (and I would hope not); however, it is unacceptable to charge $24.00 for a steak fajita plate that looks like this. Is it because we ordered take out? Was it bad night? Was there a shortage of ingredients? I would have preferred to have been notified that my order couldn't have been fulfilled than to have been charged what we were for dinner tonight. Wish I could tell you we enjoyed our meal, but we didn't. Wish I could tell you that I look forward to visiting it in person, but we won't ever dine from there again. Only positive thing worth writing was that the guacamole was decent. Not exceptional. Not worth ordering again either. Just decent.

We actually came in at a great time without realizing it, it was a happy hour, even on the weekend, that started at 9pm I think. Drinks were half off so that was amazing. We each got two margaritas which were great sizes. My only complaint here is that I wish they had more flavors for the on the rocks margaritas. They only have flavors for the frozen margaritas. I ordered the tacos Al carbon which comes with two tacos, but they are big tacos and are white hearty. I got the beef and it was very flavorful. The salsa was mild and didn't seem so authentic, but it was still good. We sat outside and typically I'm nervous about service quality outside, but here, the servers went above and beyond. It was a little chilly the night we went and even then, the staff was super attentive. I think this is a good fun place to go to locally and would be open to trying other menu items on my next visit!

When I entered the restaurant I was greeted immediately and sat fairly quick. My waiter was very attentive and did a great job with offering some recommendations. For starters they give you salsa and chips. He recommended trying the cheese which was very tasty. For my entree I had salmon stuffed with crab meat which was amazing. The sauce that they put over it was the star in my opinion. The salmon was cooked very well and was a good portion. I also tried their Margarita/ sangrita which I can tell is a popular drink. If you are into a fruity flavorful drink then this is the one for you. You can order it by the cup or by the pitcher. For dessert I had tres leches cake And it was to die for I'm glad to finally find a tres leches worth $10 a slice. Overall my experience was great. I really recommend coming if ever in Washington DC Salmon 8.5/10 Cheese 9/10 Cake 9/10 Margarita 10/10
