Overall, I'd say that Bark Barbecue is one of the better food spots in all of Dumbo, though still not mindblowing. I went several times at peak dinner service (30+ min wait) and the meat was soft, melt-in-your-mouth, flavorful, and incredible, but I went again around 6pm before peak dinner service (no line, yay!) and noticed the pulled pork was very dry and not as piping hot - definitely had been left out under the heat lamps for a while before I received my order. Pros and cons of the timing, I suppose! Love their BBQ sauce. Drenching the meat is my favorite part. Busy spot in Timeout Market but is always my personal must try if I MUST eat in Dumbo.

My favorite Dominican restaurant in Brooklyn!!! Let's start with the signature dishes. First "chicharron de pollo" and second "pechuga empanizada." The sides are the best beans you will ever have in your life. The plantains come out perfectly fried every time. This place will make your cholesterol hit the roof. It's worth every bite. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious!!! They're are other things on the menu like typical Spanish dishes and soups. The beef soup is seasonal but also one of my favorites. read more
