STOP!! You've come to the right place, if you got GOPHER/MOLE ISSUES. This company gets five stars across the board with their effectiveness, responsiveness, friendliness and eco-consciousness. Honestly, this is something we should expect and receive from all of the businesses we patronize. This is my second time using them (formerly known as Catch Gopher Services) within 5 years...they're that good!! Zach, the owner/technician, was very nice, helpful and informative about all things gophers. After talking with him, I was well-informed and assured that he knew exactly what he was doing and my problem would be resolved. Emily, the dispatcher, is so personable and very helpful, as well. She kept me abreast of travel time, arrival time, provided customer satisfaction follow up and various payment options. Very thorough...just the way I like doing business. Due to a larger infestation than I thought, a second treatment was suggested/required to ensure that ALL ''destructive pests" were completely gone. Well, I'm two weeks out, since my second and last application, and NO activity has been seen. Woo hoo!! I had a problem with gophers in my backyard. Ekoterra sent a tech out the next day to check it out. The tech was friendly and very knowledgeable about gophers. He explained that gophers are constantly breeding in the early spring and summer and a female can pump out 15 little ones during that time. All those little ones must find their own home because they won't share. Unfortunately, that was my yard I requested the bait and gas service The tech put bait in the ground and filled the tunnels with gas. It took about 45 minutes. They came back 2 weeks later to service my yard again. They also told me the gophers might keep coming and suggested a monthly plan to cover my yard. I didn't get the monthly, but I will call them in the future if the gophers come back and might consider a monthly service at that point. The damage the gophers were causing and would cause vs the cost of the service was a good value. read more

Trusting their expertise, I agreed and signed the paperwork. Little did I know, I had just signed up for one of the most frustrating and deceptive service contracts I've ever encountered. Here's where things unraveled: Lack of Transparency & Hidden Fees I've never worked with a pest control company that included a termination fee, let alone a $600 early termination fee, or a mandatory 1-year service commitment. None of this was mentioned during the sales pitch. Instead, Ekoterra relies on the "fine print" approach to trap unsuspecting customers. It wasn't until I decided to cancel (after enduring three months of zero progress) that I learned about this outrageous fee. The fact that this was never disclosed upfront is a clear red flag. Nonexistent Service & Communication After signing up, I saw a technician once. The other two times they allegedly came, I was given no update, no report, and no evidence of any progress. Meanwhile, the gopher problem remained exactly as it was before I hired them -- completely unresolved. For a service that requires "permanent monthly visits," I expected at least a basic status update or some proof that work had been done. Instead, I got silence. Unprofessional, Aggressive Customer Service When I called to cancel, I was met with hostility from a so-called "office manager" named Emily. Ekoterra was recommended to us and I can 100% understand why. From the moment I called the customer service was stellar, and within minutes has me scheduled for the following day with a fantastic pest expert, Tim. He was extremely professional from start to finish. He understood how the gophers were compromising our yard, our concerns about per safety and our need to really stay on top of this issue with on going maintenance. After he completed his work he came back and explained his entire process along with images to show us the entry points and various tunnels where the Gophers were throughout our property. I'm a 10 year resident of Sand Canyon. My original pest control man retired and moved to Airzona. I asked him if he would recommend anyone for my golpher problem he's been doing since I moved in. He said no,I don't want to give you someone and then have you call me and ask why did you recommend this guy.Because he's no good. This is were my problem starts. Someone who worked on my home said try EKoterra ( WHAT A GIGANTIC MISTAKE ). Do Not Use This Service. You will be throwning your money away. The service said that they could take care of my golpher problem. They sent out their Kid exterminator who had some Micky Mouse machine that ended up doing nothing to curb the problem. The kid packs up,collects $395.00 and was on his way.The next morning I go check the three spots were the problems were. What do I see. New golpher holes at all three areas. I call EKOTERRA. A female receptionist answered. I told her the problem about the new golpher holes. She said that's great that means they're comming out. I said comming out,what are you talking about. They are a solatar Varmet. They don't live together.I went through this for two months,and nothing. Same result every time. What a joke. Then the owner calls me and I tell him what I know about golphers. He didn't like that at all. He knew that I was knowledgeable and didn't like it. Then as a business owner who should know better he started calling me names. Pretty soon I fall into the trap doing the same to him calling him names. Why would I stoop that low. We had a gopher problem on our hill when I called Ekoterra for service. I was quoted only one plan for $975.00. The plan was and I quote "2-visit treatment per month, six total treatments to knock out any heavy infestation." I thought it was expensive but figured six treatments were probably worth it. When I wanted to follow up with a third treatment I was told I would have to pay another $975.00! I refused and asked for clarification. Todd came back out at the direction of his boss and offered me a monthly plan for $165.00 for one visit a month. This plan was obviously more reasonable than the $975.00 for two visits. Very pleased with this company, hopefully we don't need to but we would definitely use Ekoterra again. We had stubborn gophers that were very difficult to get rid of but they continued to treat until they were gone and we now have a lawn again! We had friendly and helpful interaction with all staff that we dealt with, we were informed when they would be visiting for treatment and they always arrived on time as promised. Terrible experience with this company. Most recently they turned an INactive gopher situation into an active one. Pumped gas into an abandoned hole telling me that would kill the ones left up in the hills. Instead, new active holes popped up closer to my home. Charged me for that and again it only got worse. I finally found a company that was WAY less expensive and actually competent. read more
