Not the best bagel experience in the area, and not the worst. The store is spacious enough for a number of tables and a long line waiting for service. Bins full of rounders appear smaller than my last Manhattan visit a few years ago (Clearly not real Manhattan Island bagels that are often larger than a saucer in diameter.) Still, my onion, butter and swiss had decent texture, loads of onion flakes and a good bite. Their coffee could stand a better bean roaster and more choices. Service suffered from understaffing. There was one woman taking orders and working the griddle, making for a hectic burnout shift for her, and growing queue. When the owner/manager came out from the back, and put on plastic gloves, things got better, but he was not well trained in food prep, so the butter spread was uneven, and only a single slice of cheese was placed within - where a minimum of two is the normal allocation, and often more. Too, the transection did not completely separate the halves, so when one side was lifted, the other tagged along and fell apart. I attributed that to having a bad morning. read more

Imagine my chagrin when I pulled up to my favorite local bagel shop, whose posted hours are 6am to 2pm to get a much anticipated bagel.......and the store is closed. I don't understand how any business that offers you the ability to dine in can NOT have a baby changing station available. The restrooms at this location were spacious enough. Are you just anti children or uninterested in making your food available to the busy mom on the go? Unbelievable incompetence and poor customer service. I place an order for 3 sandwiches, two of the same and one of a different kind which was a signature lunch. I also later ordered 3 bagels with cream cheese. I arrive home and I have 2 sandwiches and I received macaroni salad instead of potato salad which I asked for and no pickle on the signature lunch. I call and tell them I am displeased because I was shorted a sandwich. He checked the receipt and says I was only billed for 2 of the sandwhiches and that she only heard one of the breakfast sandwiches. Really? This location frequently gets my order wrong, is consistently out of certain sides, and sometimes the employees do not know how to make the items listed on the menu. my most recent problematic purchase was last week; I went there, and ordered a bagel with cream cheese, toasted twice. When my order was ready, I asked the employee whether or not it had been double toasted, and she said that it had, but the ovens had a low setting. Considering it how it took shorter than expected for my order to be ready and how my bagel was completely white with no browning and the cream cheese was ice cold, I can only conclude that I was lied to by someone twice my age over whether or not they had made a bagel correctly, which is kind of pathetic. We frequented the Langhorne, PA location several times in the past 10 months, 2019. Every time the order was messed up. Wrong breakfast sandwich, wrong items on the sandwich. These were not special orders but stock menu items listed. After a brief hiatus we made the same mistake of trying them again on Saturday 12-07-2019. My wife ordered the Ranchero Wrap. A stock item. It was to have bacon on it according to the sign. It had Sausage. I ordered the SanteFe Omelet on a Croissant. It comes with a Hash Brown on the sandwich. I asked if I could have the Hash Brown on the side and not on the sandwich. Told no problem. When the sandwich was brought to the table, it had a Hash brown in the sandwich and one on the side which I was charged for. I took it back and got the response from a lady behind the counter Oh! you couldn't just take it off, with a very snotty attitude. Yes I could have and would have taken half of the other ingredients with it. They tried that and the sandwich fell apart. They made a new one as requested and when it was served I got the statement "I hope this is what you want", again with a lot of attitude. If you are considering this location, Please choose another. Worse Manhattan Bagel I've even been too ( when the owners go back to their country) I've been there 3 times ( with gift cards) in the past couple months. First time they didn't have the roll that was supposed to go with the sandwich I ordered, didn't know that until I got back to work. Second time, I asked for the bagel to be thin and toasted, it was not. Last week they had no macaroni or potato salad said I could have chips. The bill came to $11.10 . I gave the man a $10 gift card and said it was for $10 and he repeated it. I then pulled out a $10 bill and gave it to him for the extra $1.11. He charged the gift card $1.11 , couldn't get thru his thick skull and had to call a manager. When I went back to work and tried to eat my sandwich it was horrible. The give me my order which was in a small bag, so I decided to check it out and sure enough the whole order wasn't there. I tell the guy and apparently he put my specality bagel sandwich on the chocolate chip bagel. Why would I ask for a healthyish sandwich to be put on a chocolate chip bagel? Inside the drink coolers there is dirt on the bottle racks, stuff is splattered on the walls, the floor is disgusting and last of all I saw a worker put a tray of bagels on the floor while he answered the phone. I've been to this location a couple times and am always disappointed. The female worker at the cash register was very short and rude. I recognize her as I've been treated in the past the same way. Their customer service is seriously lacking. Also, their sandwiches were not good. I ordered a chicken salad on a croissant, which was awful. The croissant seemed to be days old and the amount of chicken salad was minimal, at best. The other sandwich was only okay. We've frequented this chain in other places and it's been much better. I am a big fan of Manhattan. I know the owner from being around town he's a nice friendly business owner. I believe where he went wrong was some of his hiring decisions. There is on lady there who constantly fights with customers out right arguing with them and is overly aggressive. I have talked to other people and that have all brought up this employee. She must be pretty bad if people remember her specifically. The consensus is that people are avoiding the place altogether. read more
