    Primo's Takeout Menu

I've become a big fan of this place for a good hoagie. Lots of different varieties, and great taste. I got the Roast Beef Schwartzie, which is basically like a Rueben with roast beef on a hoagie roll. I got to say that I was actually pretty impressed. Everything was portioned out just right and the hoagie had really good flavoring. The bread is crunchy and covered in sesame seeds on top. Overall, this hoagie here stands out from among other places because it is fresh, great flavor, and has a unique taste. Their is no place to sit down and eat, it's all take-out at Primo's. So judging everything is basically on food quality and the pricing. The pricing is no steal, it costs an standard amount here at Primo's. What sets this place apart from the other hoagie shacks is the sheer quality of the food and taste. With so many more options to try here, I'll find myself coming back just to keep trying things that sound delicious.

I LOVE Primo Hoagies, fresh quality meats, cheeses and veggies and they use Liscio's wonderful, sesame seed topped freshly baked rolls, truly the best rolls money can buy! They offer a wide array of hoagie combo's and wraps, plus whole pickles, macaroni, potato or tortellini salads and cole slaw, hot pepper shooters, fresh mozzarella, chips, pretzels and a stand up cooler full of ice cold drinks. This location is the most convenient to my home, literally a few minutes drive, however, I do drive to the next town over or the next after trying this location before. Today was my second try, they are just so cheap with the meat! Other Primo's pack it in, here you almost feel like you are eating a ham and cheese salad on a roll. I ordered the Primo ( the mid sized hoagie, as they come in three sizes ). Tavern ham and Swiss cheese, but please add salami and provolone as well. No problem, well maybe not for them, but for me, paying extra for one tissue thin layer of hard salami and I do mean one tissue thin layer well spread out and never over lapping and another of the provolone, what gives with that and the ends of both sides of the hoagie had no ham in it! Stop being so cheap, I say to the young dark haired man that made my sandwich, I'll keep driving to the next town over.

Food is way too expensive for such poor quality. Roll on sandwich was horribly stale. Very disappointed.

My dad's 80th birthday is coming up and he loves good olive oil, cheese, pasta, and prosciutto. If you do too - then Roma's is your spot! Service was very friendly and efficient. I walked out with soppressata from the Bronx - the type you'd see hanging in an old school deli. Also some Buffalo mozzarella, Aged prosciutto sliced nice and thin, house made sausage, Olive oil that was Sicilian and not Tuscan (but highly recommended by the deli guy), some house made ravioli, manicotti and stuffed shells, marinara and vodka sauce, impulse buy lamb chops and an Italian sub. Of course I also got the parmigano reggiano, asiago, AND they have scamorza cheese AKA "scamutz!" If you've never heard of scamutz, it's like a cross between mozzarella and provolone. There's a bar in hazleton, PA that makes pizza with it. Very good. Seems somewhat hard to find in my part of NJ but maybe I don't look hard enough. Only thing I forgot was bread. Hey I'm a 'medigan - forgive me. If you aren't sure what's good, just ask them. Staff is very kind and helpful. Sure I spent a couple Benjamin's and a Grant, but we can't take it with us and memories last forever. I'm glad Roma's is around to play a part in the memories we will make for my father's special day. Here's to many more for him, and for this fine purveyor of Italian delicacies!

Our not-so-great experience may have been a result of the choices we made, but I'm unsure. When you first enter you are in front of a nicely stocked meat counter, loaded with different deli meats. To the left is a dining area with a sign stating "seat yourself". The place is a bit dated with a nice casual vibe. We were greeted by a server who gave us menus and took our drink orders. Service was top notch. When it came time to order I asked how the pastrami was. Server replied "the best". Ok I'll take a pastrami sandwich, my wife a corned beef. The server also asked if we wanted pickles and tomatoes which I said yes. She quickly brought a little bowl, which I chopped up and we enjoyed. The sandwiches came out and these things could've come from a school cafeteria honestly. A minimal amount of cold, sliced meat along with a small bag of chips was unimpressive. What happened to the warm, thick cut, juicy meat sandwich you could barely get your mouth around that we expected? We looked at each other thinking WTF? No sooner did we notice a sign on the wall "NY style, thick cut pastrami and corned beef NOW AVAILABLE" Now maybe we just don't want to accept responsibility but shouldn't the server have asked if that's what we wanted? Anyway we left hungry and saddened by our $48 experience. Def not worth it.

I had a smaller of breakfast meats, omelet, Rueben for lunch and mozzarella sticks. Everything was cooked well. They have the nice and thin sausage patties. I was surprised at the size of the sausage links. Cooked well for the size. They have thick cut bacon, which is surprising. The potatoes were crisp and they do have the option for well done. The Rueben was stacked with corned beef. The coleslaw wasn't saturated with mayonnaise like a lot are. Overall recommend!

This place has me questioning, as if I hadn't already - the TikTok influencers, because this place really was not worthy of the praise TikTok has given it. We are headed over to Trevose on the advice of TikTok (hanging my head in shame) to grab a cheesesteak and a slice. The pizza is boasted to be baked on a stone. I'm not sure if that is what caused it to be what it was. It felt like it couldn't decide what it wanted to be.. too thin it to rise into that soft pillowy chew, yet not quite crisp enough to stand proudly on its own. It was the middle child of pizza doughs. Quiet, polite, and easy to over look. The sauce. It was sauce. Not quite to my palate. It was very sweet and reminiscent of Hunts canned sauce. Now the pepperoni, the pepperoni was on point the perfect crispy curly edges with just the right amount of grease puddled within. Onto the cheese steak. When you're talking about Philly steaks it really isn't hard to go wrong but sometimes you have to understand too much of a good thing - is too much of a good thing. There was way too much cheese to the ratio of meat, the meat was chopped way too much, and the gloppy mess was more than the roll could hold. As I'm writing this, I have a little bit of guilt because the guy behind the counter was a true gem super happy, proud and welcoming. If the food had half of his spirit of this guy, this could've easily been a 4 Star place. So next time you're scrolling the ol ticky-tocky. Try and think about why the influencers rave so high. Does it look staged and filmed? What do they have to gain by making that video? Would you really give a bad review to someone giving you a free lunch?

Yelp alerted me to a Jersey Mike's down on Street Road in the Giant shopping center in Feasterville, about seven miles away. I found their app and ordered a standard sized sub with sesame seed roll, and added tomato, mayo, black pepper, lettuce, banana hot and sweet peppers. I drove down and arrived as the staff was finishing my order. It was right on time. Back at the office I opened the twisted end wrapper and beheld a beautiful sandwich, if shorter than expected. First bite disclosed that the roll was superlative with bakery freshness, great texture and ideal flavor. On the other hand, the tuna tasted "thin," and lacking substance - not really all that good. The banana peppers and sweets were no where to be found. The actual eating experience was satisfactory despite these drawbacks, but could have been so much better had there been more quality control on the tuna salad and double checking the desired ingredients. Overall, Jersey Mike's is somewhere in the middle of the pack of chain sub shop tuna hoagies available locally. Generally, mom and pop delis do them better, but there is wider diversity in how the tuna is prepared and more inquiry is needed to be sure each recipe has what you want in your sandwich. 3.5 STARS
