Fantastic service, they've been here for one year. What a delightful selection of Arabic sweets ! I had a mini tray made for a gift. What a lovely snack treat. When I walked in and saw such a selection I needed assistance because I wanted everything. I need to come back and have a nice coffee and a sweet and I will bring a pal next time. Tidy and nicely decorated. Really nice staff!! Delicious baklava! See you again

The owner is one of the kindest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. She greets her customers with a warm and welcoming feel that you can't help but leave with a smile (and usually more treats than you planned on taking home.) Her creativity and variety on treats are unmatched! Everything I have ever purchased from Michela is absolutely delicious and clearly crafted with passion. The bakery itself is always spotless, bright, and inviting, you can tell how much pride she takes not only in her treats but in the overall experience. This little gem has it all! Reasonably priced sweets, generous portions, friendly faces behind the counter, and delicious options for everyone.

When I saw she had two new cheesecake flavors, I rushed out of the house because I heard she sells out quickly. I was promptly greeted by Michela herself. I immediately noticed the cheesecakes in the case and I told her I saw them through friend's reposts. She was so kind and said the flavors get updated every so often. I got the banana pudding cheesecake and the Biscoff cheesecake. Of the two, I preferred the banana. It was moist and creamy with that pudding-like consistency. I don't want to downplay the Biscoff slice - it was great, but a little on the dry side. I enjoyed the cookie pieces, though and it wasn't overly sweet. Two very unique flavors that I had not tried anywhere else. Pricing was reasonable for the area. I would absolutely swing by again and try different items!

There is no icing and does not even say "birthday" we could have walked in to acme and asked them to write on a pre made cake and it would be better quality. When called to ask if there was a way to fix the cake to be what was ordered which was "a floral theme with a plot of big flowers" The owner hung up the phone and said she had a wedding cake to focus on- that this was an imposition and that "next time I'll put extra flowers" Is it just me - but I see zero flowers and the thinnest spread of leftover icing that is on the top of the cake. Rudest woman and after repeat service for 8 years this was the worst service- since we paid for a cake i can't imagine that the service of providing the cake is an imposition. Will never return. I just want to put this out there so you can all see what your custom cake will show up as - Go ELSEWHERE. That's no way to run a business.

On the other hand, if you are a walk-in retail customer desiring something off the rack and on display in the glass cases, it is rather a hit or miss experience. I stopped by in the mood for a great brownie or exceptional fruit bar from the skilled hands of the proprietress, but found little to chose from on a Friday mid morning. I asked about the brownies and was told she would be making them today. Maybe she meant they were in the oven and would be out shortly (I hoped)? No. She just repeated that she was baking them today. Not helpful, but clearly an indication that I was bothering her. Sorry. My bad. So, I looked around and purchased a vanilla frosted yeast donut, red velvet cake donut and a raspberry French pastry twist stick. $7.50 for the three. I lay the cash down and walked back into the morning rain. It took me more than a day to sample my acquisitions, but can now report that they were a mixed bag (of donuts). The vanilla frosted yeastee was good; plenty of nice sweet frosting and a fresh superstructure beneath. Yet, the red velvet was in a state of advancing staleness and was a dry bite and chew. Coffee washdown was essential. Looked better than it ate. On the third hand, the raspberry twist was excellent; flaky delicate with a lovely buttery pastry surrounding the mildly tart red berry jam. Could have eaten more of those with genteel gusto. While I won't be rushing back to DBD, I will pass the word along that you can succeed there only if choosing carefully. Consider yourself advised! Just don't ask too many foolish questions. 2.5 STARS

I asked what I was in for and was immediately schooled on all of the offerings by the owner..... she described every item with great detail, pride and passion. I ended up buying some items for my wife's work and something for myself. The prices seemed high, but believe me you're getting what you pay for. I ended up with two Croissants - Buttery, flaky French-style croissant, one Pain au Chocolat - Our classic croissant filled with two bittersweet chocolate batons, one Nutella croissant - Our classic croissant filled with delicious Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread, one Fruit Jam croissant - our classic croissant filled with delicious fruit jam and a Almond Chocolate croissant - Our classic almond croissant filled with two bittersweet chocolate batons. For myself, I took another customers advice and went with a savory Ham and cheese croissant - our classic croissant filled with bechamel (creamy white sauce), ham and cheese. The shiny sheen of buttery baked goodness was the first thing you'll notice before you taste that flaky brown crust. Every bite was a clean crisp break and boy did all the flavors of ham and cheese combine to make a fantastic breakfast. My bill was $40 combined for all seven items. (I believe the ham and cheese croissant itself was about $6 and change) The croissants my wife brought to work were a hit. One of the her co-workers lived in France for several years and was complaining she couldn't find a comparable croissant on this side of the pond. She was beyond impressed and commented they are better than most she remembered. Mission accomplished, she'll be paying her first visit and I'll be returning to try some sweet options next time! Small location, but a mighty and beautiful product made with love at Mamie Colette!

From the lighting fixtures to the decor Flourish is both stylish and comfortable. The food is just as well thought out. Inspired by Eastern European flavors Flourish takes basic breakfast to an elevated experience. A bit pricy for daily breakfast but the flavors were a treat to experience. No pork products but the turkey sausage was just as satisfying and 4 long links in a side serving. I chose the garden skillet and swapped the over easy eggs for scrambled. He went for the Shakshuka. Both were not just served but presented beautifully on wooden boards. We had to try the Syrniki and were delighted. You aren't going to find over the top portions here, but the meals are satisfying and prepared with fresh quality ingredients. The berries on the Syrniki were huge, juicy and tasty. Flourish is not your daily breakfast spot but definitely one we recommend and will revisit on occasion.
