We stumbled upon this bakery on our walk. Although they seem to have a huge selection, the prices are quite high for the cheesecake etc. we tried the ice cream which was about seven dollars per person for one scoop with cone and chocolate topping. The flavors were meh. It tasted like average store bought ice cream. The chocolate topping is kind of genius though. Unfortunately the lady at the counter seemed rude and sent us to eat outside the shop in the heat (while there was seating indoors in the "cafe"). The sweets are anything but. They lack sugar! Most of the flavor comes from cooking oil and slightly stale flour. We tried many different products but were somewhat disappointed by all of them. I believe that the employees and management are ex-Soviet because they speak Russian, which might explain why these bakery items taste nothing like similar ones found at classic American bakeries. The staff is very fast and polite, which suggests that they appreciate your business. The prices are very high. The store and neighborhood are beautiful and clean. But I will stick with the premium supermarket brand for infinitely better tasting confections for a tiny fraction of the prices, at least when they are on sale. Stopped in last Friday to pick up some sweets for my family. We love Macarons so even though they were $4 a piece I bought 4 to share. I also bought 2 things that looked like logs but I was told they were like a cake pop but not covered in sprinkles. $5 each. Spent a total of $26. After I got home we were all excited for our tasting. Soooo disappointed!! Macarons were so stale. Totally crumbled into pieces from being so dry. I have no idea how old these were. The so called cake pop things were just disgusting! Vanilla and chocolate. So dense with absolutely no taste. Everything was inedible so it all went in the trash. What a waste of $26. ME and my sister decided to try this spot since we wanted some sweets from a bakery. We found this place on Yelp and there were so many good reviews, so that's why we chose this place. We ended up picking out a piece of this and a piece of that and planned to take it home and share to have a taste test with a few other of our family members. We both spent over 40 dollars for a bunch of little desserts, and we were so disappointed when it came to tasting them. i was really excited to try this local little bakery, and it was just okay in my opinion. i like the inside space, lots of natural lighting and seating, personally love the little outside tables when the weathers nice. the food: i had an eclair and raspberry tart, wasn't my favorite. the eclair was really thick and crumbly, i prefer the lighter, more fluffier kind of eclairs (j'aime is my fav spot for them!). the raspberry was really sweet and i personally didn't like the cream because it tasted like artificial fruit, but the bottom tart pastry was ok. overall, i wouldn't get what i had ordered a second time. maybe something else i haven't tried. coffee: they didn't offer ice americanos, even though they have a sign that they sell la colombe coffee - so i guess it may just be draft lattes or something? not completely sure. i opted for hot americano, and it was fine. service: really nice cashier / server at the front, the only little issue i had was i asked about some of the pastry details because i wasn't sure what they were, but she wasn't able to provide an explanation beyond the flavor. i guess you just need to know what they are beforehand. read more

More a cafe and less a bakery at the intersection of Holland and Buck Roads in Southampton, PA, this Eastern European house is well decorated with a large dining room and four private rooms for group breakfast and lunch. The menu is very interesting with the use of standard ingredients prepared by hands trained in formerly socialist republics. I ordered the Tomato Feta Omelet. It was cooked in a personal sized polished steel pan and served to me still burning hot in that instrument, on an oval wooden insulating plank. The outer egg was almost a souffle texture and the taste was great. It came with two chunks of bread and a small dish of sweet butter. The bread had a crisp crust warm enough to melt the spread. It was also excellent and left me wishing for more. The final surprise was the brewing of La Colombe coffee; strong enough to take immediate notice, and a pitcher of milk for mixing to my preferred shade of auburn. It was so good! Service was efficient and beautifully accented. This was a surprising and awesome meal at a very reasonable price. It was good to visit Kiev for a few minutes. read more

I absolutely love this establishment! The breakfast dishes are all i have tried yet and i loveee the 3 crepe dish!! You have a choice of shredded chicken or mushroom with a cream dill sauce!! and i have tried both and they are so good and fresh! For drinks we always get their Turkish tea and Lattes!! I love this place! My family and I had originally scheduled a bridal shower here in March, which we had to cancel at the last minute due to COVID. The owner is so flexible and ended up catering our event this past weekend. All the pastries were amazing - we had assorted macaroons, eclairs, and the incredible cream puffs. This is my new favorite bakery. Took home several bakery items and was not disappointed in any of them. Especially the macarons. Absolutely love that their pastries and cakes are not loaded with the taste of pure sugar and you can actually taste the different ingredients. I'm not a huge chocolate lover, but I love everything I had with chocolate from this bakery. The girl who attended me was very polite and answered all of my questions on what was what and what was in each item I asked about. Great customer service! I've been exploring local bakeries in this area and happened by Two Ladies by chance while getting sandwiches at Wawa. I'm so glad I did. We tried one of their swiss roll styled cakes, chocolate with chocolate creme and pistachios. It was delicious. The cake was moist and light and the cake was loaded with pistachios. I was hoping we would have some leftovers for the next day, but my family finished it off quickly. Somebody recommended this place saying that they have good homemade pastries. They have a separate party room and a small sitting area. I heard they serve Turkish coffee, never tried it though. However, most of the stuff tastes average, like you get it in any grocery store. I don't post reviews based on one time stop especially the bad ones. I understand that people work hard and especially for small family owned businesses it's hard to be up to high standards. But in this particular business you have to be perfect, that's what people expect and that's why people come back and recommend to others. I stopped by several times. First time we ordered several slices of different types of cakes ( they can do slices- that's the plus), like I said before nothing special, the icing tastes horrible nothing like a homemade, the cakes are quite dry. The tiramisu cake- I am sorry but I have to tell you, taste nothing like tiramisu, not even close. I mean it was ok, not gross but it was just their version of tiramisu cake probably and people who like it probably never tried the real one. There are many versions of tiramisu cakes , I get it, but at least all of them supposed to be coffee flavored right? Well not in Two Ladies Bakery, it is dry, doesn't have a coffee flavor whatsoever, Very plain cake. The roll cakes are so, so- taste like boxed cakes. I was disappointed a bit but then thought ok everyone has different tastes and maybe I was too harsh on them. So I stopped by again and you guys there's something that make me write this review. We were about to visit our friends who have children so we bought some cake pops for all the kids. There were a hair inside one of the cake pop, that is just gross, I was so embarrassed, the kid was disgusted- not acceptable. Dear owners if you read this please make your employees to wear hair restraints!!! Another thing the ladies at the register don't use gloves. The same person holds the money of previous customers and then packs pastries and cakes without gloves- something to think about. Every time ladies at the register seemed to be very annoyed with questions we were asking, like why? I am a customer, If I want to buy something at least I have the right to know what's inside the cake, what kind of icing, and cream in it. The presentation of the cakes are nice but to me if sanitary conditions are questionable then it doesn't matter. Overall have not pleased with their service, and products.
