As close to the ones you'll have in France as you can find in the states. The sourdough bread is also very good. It's a must when you're in the mood for a pastry!

I visited Mamie Colette right as they unlocked the doors at 6:30AM on a Wednesday (the door said…read moreclosed Mondays and Tuesdays) and was greeted with the wonderful aroma of baked goods and bright smiles from the staff. I asked what I was in for and was immediately schooled on all of the offerings by the owner..... she described every item with great detail, pride and passion. I ended up buying some items for my wife's work and something for myself. The prices seemed high, but believe me you're getting what you pay for. I ended up with two Croissants - Buttery, flaky French-style croissant, one Pain au Chocolat - Our classic croissant filled with two bittersweet chocolate batons, one Nutella croissant - Our classic croissant filled with delicious Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread, one Fruit Jam croissant - our classic croissant filled with delicious fruit jam and a Almond Chocolate croissant - Our classic almond croissant filled with two bittersweet chocolate batons. For myself, I took another customers advice and went with a savory Ham and cheese croissant - our classic croissant filled with bechamel (creamy white sauce), ham and cheese. The shiny sheen of buttery baked goodness was the first thing you'll notice before you taste that flaky brown crust. Every bite was a clean crisp break and boy did all the flavors of ham and cheese combine to make a fantastic breakfast. My bill was $40 combined for all seven items. (I believe the ham and cheese croissant itself was about $6 and change) The croissants my wife brought to work were a hit. One of the her co-workers lived in France for several years and was complaining she couldn't find a comparable croissant on this side of the pond. She was beyond impressed and commented they are better than most she remembered. Mission accomplished, she'll be paying her first visit and I'll be returning to try some sweet options next time! Small location, but a mighty and beautiful product made with love at Mamie Colette!

It reminded me very much of the Barbero's Bakery in Chambersburg, Trenton, NJ. High quality, attention to detail, and skilled hands turning flour and sugar into a vast variety of authentic Italian delights. My half dozen Chocolate Chip Vanilla Cream Cannolis were wonderful to behold - crisp shell, soft ricotta cheese mixed and blended into the perfect filling to be squeezed into a handheld roll, sprinkled with powdered sugar. Nibbling around the edges extended the pleasure before needing to grab a larger bite to save the contents from falling out onto the plate. The going rate was $7 per, so not cheap, but certainly worth every penny and pound. Six Stars. One for each fantastic creation by Nino and the staff!

The cannolis are MASSIVE and have great flavor to it, and they fill it fresh for you. The danish's are also just as big and taste amazing. I always stop by when I'm in the shopping plaza, even if it's just for one item. Everything is baked so fresh and tastes so good. The lady who helped me behind the counter was also very attentive and the place looked clean. There is a small discount if you pay cash

I will start of by saying that the staff here is great and the store is always easy to navigate. It is a bit older of a store so it's a little dark inside but it is also always busy which makes it feel much more lively. they have extensive produce, a large cheese section and prepared food section. Their bakery is nice as well. Actually their cookies are some of my favorite grocery store cookies. The prices can be a bit high but when they have sales they are usually fairly good. I feel like it's a slightly "fresher" and "healthier" store but I have had a hard time finding more unique healthy items. Overall it's a great store, it's not my local store but it's nice to pop in when I'm in the area to pick up some items that the stores near me don't carry.

I watched her interactions with the two guests ahead of me and was honestly surprised by how unhappy and disengaged she appeared. There were no smiles, no warmth, and her overall demeanor gave the impression that she disliked her job, disliked dealing with customers, and simply did not want to be there. As a business owner myself, I understand how important customer relationships are. The checkout counter is often the final impression a guest leaves with, and something as simple as a friendly smile or kind interaction goes a very long way when customers are spending their hard-earned money. I am from out of town and expected much more from what appears to be a boutique-style grocery store with a strong community feel. Stores like Trader Joe's are a great example of how positive, friendly interactions at checkout can completely elevate the customer experience. I even went so far as to ask Delaney if she was having a bad day, and the glaring stare I received in return ultimately prompted me to write this review. To be clear, I am not looking for anyone to lose their job. I simply believe some coaching in guest relations and customer interaction could make a tremendous difference. Delaney is very young, and I genuinely hope she either finds more joy in what she's doing or moves into something better suited for her personality and interests. Constructive feedback is meant to help businesses improve, and I hope this is received in that spirit.
