It has been too long since I visited Barbie's for one of their exquisite pretzel dogs - all beef garlicy homemade weiner topped with jalapeño, sauteed onion and American cheese - all wrapped up in one of their freshly doughed, twisted, salted and baked pretzel skins. Eat'em while they're hot for peak actualization. Today their drink special was a Pumpkin Latte Shake. A good, cool, sweet gourdy slush that epitomizes Halloween. The small 6 ounce cup was $4.25, including a free hand twister. Pennsylvania Dutch comfort food par excellence.

Have you ever had a jalapeno and cheese hot dog before, with homemade pretzel dough wrapped around it in strips? When I opened up the foil, I'm looking and looking for the cheese and the jalapenos and I saw nothing even resembling this. Oh well, maybe she gave me the wrong dog, so I took one big bite and low and behold those peppers and cheese were inside of the hot dog! Wow, talk about a shock to the taste buds and flavor. Talk about putting the HOT in hot dog! How do they do that? They have to make their own hot dogs?! I had a coupon for buy one get one free soft pretzel which led me to Barbie's, however after seeing their displays of soft pretzels and pretzel products, I would have stopped here without the coupon. I also did get my two pretzels and it is unlike any soft pretzel I have had, almost like they used a starter for the dough, which was sweet, yet salty. These very soft and delicious pretzels are made right before your eyes This dough is baked around all beef hot dogs, sausage or cheese. They also have pretzel pockets, filled with either bacon, egg and cheese, a pepperoni pizza filling, a cheese steak filled pretzel pocket, Stromboli or roast beef and swiss cheese. Pretzels are coming out of their ovens here with sour cream and onion, cinnamon and sugar, to small pretzel bites filled with pieces of hot dogs or cheese. They have hand dipped ice cream and fresh squeezed lemonade. If you buy a milkshake for $3.75 you can have a free soft pretzel. With all of Barbie's twists and turns of the dough and knowing just how to stuff it, it is no wonder she has crowds standing around watching and anxiously awaiting their turn. I can't wait to go back and try the pepperoni pizza pretzel pocket! Say that ten times fast.

best Pretzel I have ever had. Best in Philly/PA for sure.Doesn't even compare with boardwalk or street vendor pretzels.great ice cream too

Never come to the Amish Market without getting these AMAZING soft pretzels, warm, and dipped in butter, with a light salt sprinkling......

As close to the ones you'll have in France as you can find in the states. The sourdough bread is also very good. It's a must when you're in the mood for a pastry!

I asked what I was in for and was immediately schooled on all of the offerings by the owner..... she described every item with great detail, pride and passion. I ended up buying some items for my wife's work and something for myself. The prices seemed high, but believe me you're getting what you pay for. I ended up with two Croissants - Buttery, flaky French-style croissant, one Pain au Chocolat - Our classic croissant filled with two bittersweet chocolate batons, one Nutella croissant - Our classic croissant filled with delicious Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread, one Fruit Jam croissant - our classic croissant filled with delicious fruit jam and a Almond Chocolate croissant - Our classic almond croissant filled with two bittersweet chocolate batons. For myself, I took another customers advice and went with a savory Ham and cheese croissant - our classic croissant filled with bechamel (creamy white sauce), ham and cheese. The shiny sheen of buttery baked goodness was the first thing you'll notice before you taste that flaky brown crust. Every bite was a clean crisp break and boy did all the flavors of ham and cheese combine to make a fantastic breakfast. My bill was $40 combined for all seven items. (I believe the ham and cheese croissant itself was about $6 and change) The croissants my wife brought to work were a hit. One of the her co-workers lived in France for several years and was complaining she couldn't find a comparable croissant on this side of the pond. She was beyond impressed and commented they are better than most she remembered. Mission accomplished, she'll be paying her first visit and I'll be returning to try some sweet options next time! Small location, but a mighty and beautiful product made with love at Mamie Colette!

I will start of by saying that the staff here is great and the store is always easy to navigate. It is a bit older of a store so it's a little dark inside but it is also always busy which makes it feel much more lively. they have extensive produce, a large cheese section and prepared food section. Their bakery is nice as well. Actually their cookies are some of my favorite grocery store cookies. The prices can be a bit high but when they have sales they are usually fairly good. I feel like it's a slightly "fresher" and "healthier" store but I have had a hard time finding more unique healthy items. Overall it's a great store, it's not my local store but it's nice to pop in when I'm in the area to pick up some items that the stores near me don't carry.

I watched her interactions with the two guests ahead of me and was honestly surprised by how unhappy and disengaged she appeared. There were no smiles, no warmth, and her overall demeanor gave the impression that she disliked her job, disliked dealing with customers, and simply did not want to be there. As a business owner myself, I understand how important customer relationships are. The checkout counter is often the final impression a guest leaves with, and something as simple as a friendly smile or kind interaction goes a very long way when customers are spending their hard-earned money. I am from out of town and expected much more from what appears to be a boutique-style grocery store with a strong community feel. Stores like Trader Joe's are a great example of how positive, friendly interactions at checkout can completely elevate the customer experience. I even went so far as to ask Delaney if she was having a bad day, and the glaring stare I received in return ultimately prompted me to write this review. To be clear, I am not looking for anyone to lose their job. I simply believe some coaching in guest relations and customer interaction could make a tremendous difference. Delaney is very young, and I genuinely hope she either finds more joy in what she's doing or moves into something better suited for her personality and interests. Constructive feedback is meant to help businesses improve, and I hope this is received in that spirit.
