Sweet corn ice cream special. Delicious.

Made a trip here to hang out for the afternoon however the weather never cleared up and so I did some shopping, got ice cream and went home.

My bf and I went for a fall experience! The weather was on and off rain but we had the best time in spite of that. We got to visit the flower garden and take home a beautiful flower bouquet. We had some pumpkin and apple cider beer that was really good. I don't really like beer but the apple cider was delicious. We bought some apple cider donuts and apple cider to take home and we were obsessed! Haven't had donuts as good as those! The service was great everyone was so friendly and welcoming!

Here to see the seasonal stuff! Autumn is here!! It's super busy today. They have a light show they're preparing for this evening. There is also a band here today !! Wow! Of course, I'm very happy to see their freshly made. Ice cream section had pumpkin flavor! They all sorts of premade food, and I was really happy to see the variety of pumpkins they had .

I came here over the weekend to go to the pumpkin patch and got to experience so much more! For $25 per person, we were able to access the pumpkin patch, corn maze, two haunted/fun houses, live music, and food & drink vendors. The bar area within the farm market serves up local drafts and wines and is a great spot to warm up from being outside. The activities are catered for kids and families, but it was a fun date-night activity too! Although it was a Friday night, we didn't have to wait in many lines and if so, they were short and quick. The staff and local vendors were super friendly. We grabbed snacks like chicken fingers and homemade perogies, but the warm apple cider and apple cider donuts were the highlights of our night! They also have stands that offer the donuts, cider, and other fall treats to bring home too. This was a super fun way to get out of the city and enjoy some fall fun!

Great fun night for the holiday light show. Walk, drive your own car, or enjoy a tractor ride with music. Very well organized. Fire pits, snacks, hot and cold drinks. Fun family destination.

I came here for the drive through holiday light show and it was a lot of fun! Grab some hot chocolate (or bring your own like I did), turn on the Christmas radio station, and enjoy some beautiful light displays from the comfort of your car. It was really cold the night I went so I appreciated the drive-thru experience. Once you're done driving around you can actually park at the market and do some shopping. They had groceries and a lot of local items that you can't really get elsewhere (like jams, sauces, etc.) they also had a little Christmas decor store to walk around as well. There was also a bar next to the grocery shop if you wanted to grab a drink and some food. There were fire pits everywhere and you can make s'mores which I thought was so cute. There's also more light displays that you can walk around and check out, with plenty of opportunities for taking pictures. Overall I think this is a really cute idea for a family, date night, or even just something to do with friends, especially if you don't wanna be out in the cold the whole time!

Shady Brook is by far one of my absolute favorite weekend pastimes. I attended Strawberry Fest for the very first time, 6/4. The event is only two weekends long; which is why I typically miss out. I must say, picking strawberries is quite the task. My back was killing me when I returned home. I took a nap and didn't wake up until the following day. Above all, I had a wonderful time per usual. Initially the berries seemed scarce and I didn't believe I'd be able to fill up my basket purchased at the gate for 8 bucks but once I got to picking; there was plenty. When I tell you the strawberries were out of this world delicious, They were thee absolute sweetest, juiciest berries I've ever tasted in my life. Shady Brook Farm and it's staff always provide excellent customer service and quality produce.

Ever since I saw a ad on Facebook about Shady Brook Farm, I always wanted to visit. My daughter's school had given their students and families discount tickets to visit SBF. I decided to take the opportunity now than later. Must be our lucky day, because the weather is nice in the 70s. On another note, free parking too, oh yeah! When we arrived around 10, there are already many other schools at the farm. Shady Brook was bustling and extremely busy, every activities had a long line of kids waiting to participate. The Hayride was good, it took us around the farm, into the pumpkin patch. Each and everyone of us were able to pick-our-own pumpkin to take home. My daughter want to try the huge tube slide, which my hubby didn't want to do. Eventually I send both of them to that big slide line haha. She knew daddy is a no so she turn to mommy for the rescue, and yes mommy does not disappoint lol. She didn't have fun until the kids at the other schools left. There she play on the playground. And fed the barn animals.

I came here last weekend and was so incredibly happy with my experience. To begin the farm is beautiful, I can only imagine it in the summertime but it was completely decked out for christmas and it looked amazing! This place is absolutely perfect for families. there's activities for kids and adult beverages for the parents. I had the spiked hot chocolate and i LOVED it. it had peppermint vodka in it and it was a deliciously perfect combo. The main event is this really cute drive through light show that is 2 miles long. each section had a little theme like sea animals, 7 wonders, 12 days of christmas, etc. They're really awesome displays and you could tune into a radio station to listen to the music as you drive through the lights. if you didn't want to take your car in, there are wagon rides which was what I did and it was such a fun experience. They have walk through lights displays as well like candy cane lane and assorted activities throughout. Including photos with Santa for the kids! They also had a few shops on site as well selling goods like yummy pies and cakes. There were also fire pits that you can reserve to warm up to and make s'mores! There is a barn to rent out which was my case as we were having a holiday party and it's a pretty decent size you could probably fit a bunch of people in there. Everyone who was working was super friendly and made sure we had a great experience. Overall, I had absolutely no complaints. I look forward to going again soon with my nephew I know he'll have a blast!

We decided to go to the farm last night for their UnWined Friday nights. They sell wine, beer and have live music staring in May through September I believe. You can bring chairs or a blanket to relax on. It's a nice time. You can buy food and drinks there. The weather turned out perfectly last night! It was so hot during the day but it turned into a beautiful night! We enjoyed some chicken fingers, fresh cut fries (incredible!!!) and pierogis! Yum!

Truth be told, the "festivals" that Shady Brook constantly has are kind of a tourist trap. Still, we have a 3-year-old and live nearby, so we've ended up going a few times a year for the past few years. Until today, the experience has always been "fine." I spent $36 on tickets and $15 on a peach bucket at the "Peach and Sunflower Festival" today. That peach bucket should get you a couple dozen peaches if I had to guess. We went up and down the aisles checking every tree. There were, simply put, no peaches. We left with a total of 2 (see picture). Others on the wagon had no better luck. Everyone picked buckets full of bright green peaches, which will never be edible, or left with empty buckets like us. To add insult to injury, on the way back, the wagon passed by a different, inaccessible field that was visibly (even from a distance) full of peaches. We weren't really there for the sunflowers, which was good, because there were none of those either. The tractor didn't even make a stop for them. I don't know if the crops weren't good this year, or maybe the fields were already picked clean. Frankly, I don't really care which -- you don't get to sell a product that you literally don't have on hand to deliver. And anyway, there were obviously peaches elsewhere, like I said. So I don't know what happened. What I do know is that the $50 I spent today is the last $50 this place will see from me.

There wasnt any pumpkin left in the field to pick and the apples were not event there on the trees. It was fairly easy to find though going there, my map told me to go down a treacherous gravel road which I wasn't terribly fond of. They have a moderately sized parking lot and you'll see this large, red barn. That's where you get your goodies (there's often a line) and where their store is. We stopped by for a treat first. They sell ice cream, cider floats, and what is a "TikTok famous" coffee float with donut. We got: Cider ($4) - I didn't actually drink this. I got it for my kid with food allergies. He wanted ice cream but they do not know if the ice cream they use contains eggs or not so we played it safe. My kid thought it was okay but finally finished it later. He typically prefers regular apple juice. Cider float with donut - you have a choice of no donut for $2 less. It's like a root beer float but with cider instead of root beer, black and orange sprinkles around the time of the cup, whipped cream, and a powdered cider donut over it all. I shared this with my daughter. That donut was delicious! Warm, tender, and crisp on the outside. The drink was great! I do wish it came with a spoon because it got difficult finishing the last of it. Warning: if you have one of these, the bees are coming for you. They use some sort of caramel-like sauce to get the sprinkles to stick. Overall, quite good. Maple cider donut ($3): my sister got this and she said it was amazing, but she said she thought $3 was a bit much (the unglazed donuts are $1.25 each). She's vegan, so didn't partake in the float, but she also wasn't going to ask if there's milk in the donut. If you're getting only donuts, they are purchased in the store. They have tables and chairs nearby for you to picnic and enjoy your treats. Going through the gates, there was a table but they were busy with other people so we walked right in. There is no entrance fee, which was nice. You go through the apple orchard first. It seems like most of the apples have been picked through, though there are a lot of developing apples. Some of the nicer ones were way too tall for us; they don't provide ladders. We only managed to find one that looked nice. At the end, there used to be a sunflower field and the corn maze. It's epic but you don't know how formidable until you're past the point of return and realize it's not a kids maze. We were in there for a while! Even met other kids that thought they'd be lost forever. The corn stalks are taller than a human and they're pretty dense so you can't look over or through them. It's a true maze and I was impressed. I wish they would provide a paper maze puzzle of the corn maze because I'm so curious how it is from above. Lots of dead ends. What I can say is don't lose hope. You'll get there! (When we finally found the exit, it was almost like a dream because we had been staring at corn for so long.) In hindsight, it was good we ate something first. Once done, we explored the sunflowers and saw the pumpkin patch. As we headed out, we went to pay for our lone apple and we discovered THE CORN MAZE IS NOT FREE. It's $10 per adult and $5 per kid. They charged us $1 for the single apple. I guess they work on the honor system? I didn't mind much because that maze clearly took planning. Before we left, we visited the store full of baked goodies. I got a few cider donuts, a dumpling, and a piece of crumb cake because they just brought out a fresh tray. Plus a lattice harvest pie. The pies with crumble aren't vegan, but the lattice pies are made of vegetable shortening. Restrooms! They have a row of port-a-potties by the parking lot. They're actually the cleanest ones I've been to before. No sinks but they do have a dispenser of antibacterial hand gel. The openings are a bit large so if your kid needs to use the toilets, hold onto them. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I definitely think everyone should go through a corn maze of this caliber at least once in their life. The apple pickings were sparse but at least you get delicious floats and donuts! Note: they have gluten free goodies in the store but they are nut based (almond flour). They also had one gluten free-vegan item.
