Free Parking was easy on Sunday around 1230pm, it was fast and easy to order. The food came out fast and it was good, the drinks were sweeter than I expected so maybe next time I'll order something else. They close at 2pm on Sunday so we didn't stay there longer, but it was a good experience, the staff was ok, not bad or great. The food was OK, but not enjoyable, because the experience was not. It's 12:40 on Sunday. They're open until 2 p.m. It's not crazy-busy, but there are still customers. No coffee I wanted in either of the 2 urns. When I asked about it, they made some, but acted like it was a huge imposition. Empty cream pitcher, no other options. The entire dining area was being mopped, with the signal that they didn't want you there. When I asked if they would please cut my sandwich in half, they refused. ???? The girl replied we were busy today. I said so you didn't honor my order and reserve the bagels I paid for. I said I order x amount of plain bagels because that's what my guests want. So you're telling me I have to go somewhere else to buy plain bagels?. Can I get a refund for the missing bagels then. She replied you can pick out bagels from the glass case. Every table had food crumbs on it AND all over the floor, around the tables. There is only 1 tyoe of chips at this location, Sea Salt. People came off the streets and filled up 2 tall coffee cups and no one said anything to her. there were 6 employees at 10am but 1 person cooking. Quickest and easiest place to get lox from so I usually order it from here. The last time I did, I got a piece of salmon that covered maybe a quarter of the bagel IF that and no capers even though I asked for extra... Decided to try it again today and ordered through Grubhub. Order was real simple: cheesy hash brown bagel with cream cheese and avocado. (sounds weird, trust me it can be real good) Of course that's not what I got... I got some small bagel, not even sure what kind other than it wasn't what I ordered, and half of it had cream cheese that had a nasty crust on parts of it and the other half had brown gooey avocado smeared on it. *insert barf emoji* It gets even better. I immediately went to the Grubhub app and told them what happened and apparently their protocol is to call the store and ask them if they can give me a refund. Think that happened? Of course not. Einstein refused to let them process a refund for me. The food was inedible. Probably would have gotten sick if ate it. And then not even willing to refund me for it? Absolutely the worst. Absolutely horrible service, we bought bagels this morning at the Glen Ellen location told my husband they do not toast or cut the bagels for you? If you are a bagel store wouldn't you cut and toast the bagel? Also the children working there obviously did not want to work were extremely rude to both my husband and a fellow customer as well. As a business if you want to succeed I highly recommend hiring better employees and wanting to satisfy your customers that are paying you. I've been here several times, for both breakfast(s) and lunch(es), and each time is as one would expect - the food is decent, the service is solid, the decor is an Einstein Bros. If you've never been here before then you can expect a large assortment of bagels, bagel sandwiches, and drinks. As I said, I've run the gamut of what they offer and you pretty much cannot go wrong with whatever you get - their bagels are (usually) fresh and their schemers are pretty delicious. Mehhh I wavered between giving 2 stars and 3, luckily I'm in a "generous" mood. Einstein Bros is one of those places I remember from my childhood: warm, comfy, that smell of bagels... I haven't been much since I was a child so that is still my memory. I was a little disappointed this past visit. Let me start off with my biggest pet peeve: shmeere. Who the hell decided to call the cream cheese "shmeere". You wanna know what it makes me think of every time? Well I'm gonna tell you anyway and ruin it for you too-- I think of a dog poop skid on the grass when someone can't get a clean pickup. Yeah, gross, just call it cream cheese. OK, now that I had my rant-- the bagel. This past visit I got the nova lox bagel: plain bagel, CREAM CHEESE, salmon, capers, tomato, and red onion. Sounds delicious, I know; however, for $7-8, I'd expect better. Now, my mother always says that I practically make spreading cream cheese an art because I appreciate an even layer of cream cheese from center to edge-- I'm sorry Einstein but you never do that! It's always much thicker in the middle and doesn't quite reach the edges. Particularly with salmon, the cream cheese gets too overpowering in the center. Also, they went way too light on the capers, which were all in the middle too. I guess this is why I don't usually come here, because I know I can do it better. It isn't bad, just not great nor worth the cost. The staff also wasn't the friendliest, maybe that's different if you're a regular, but I actually saw an employee sneer at another customer when they turned away after asking them about something. Clean store, still kind of has that bagel smell but the smell of coffee is now stronger, decent place, but not somewhere I feel the need to visit frequently. read more

Pros: The cream cheese options are great - the coffee is good - the location is convenient. Cons: The Autumn coffee they stopped carrying which is a major disappointment! - on numerous occasions as your running to catch the train for work and you just want a coffee, there is no one behind the cash register to take your order. You end up leaving without your coffee because they do not have enough help to make breakfasts and check customers out - no gluten free options except a small container of fruit. As a Celiac you are very limited. read more

I love Einstein Bagels, especially the lox and cream cheese on the Everything Bagel. This place made the typically great bagel that you find at Einstein Bagels. Then the owner (manager?) came out and cleaned off the tables and used the same cloth to clean the chairs before proceeding to the next table with the dirty cloth. Doesn't anybody realize the filth, farts, and fecal matter than reside on chairs? I've seen this at other restaurants and it immediately turns my stomach so that I won't go back. I like Einstein Bros. I have eaten there on occasion for the better part of more than a decade back in Kansas City when they were known as Bagel and Bagel. Anyway, on a recent stop with my family and sister-in-law's family, my wife and sister-in-law each stood in line collectively for 30 minutes to get a freakin' bagel. Not only is your establishment cramped as shit, but to add insult to injury, I have to wait 30 minutes for a bagel and cream cheese. That is horseshit. You know it and I know it. Food was Einstein's usually mediocre self and while there was a large dining area (compared to most) it was overrun with children. Not teeny boppers but middle school youth.
